The Ghost is an overstable midrange disc with a healthy amount of glide. The Ghost has a substantial amount of low speed fade. This disc is good for accurate approach shots, when you account for the hooking flight pattern.

Not thrilled with this disc YET. I am a huge fan of the Legacy, Nemesis and Bandit. But the ghost is going to take more time. It my just be that I'm not a fan of this protege plastic. It feels nice and has a good amount  of grip. But it is EXTREMELY ridged and bounces off the chains. I will try to update or post another review once I have spent some more time with this little fella. Will it be a good ghost like Casper? Or will I need a exorcism to remove it from my bag....we will see.

This is a great midrange to have in multiple stages of wear. It has a considerable dome on it and a roc type rim. These glide a long way before wanting to hook up at the end. Dependable in headwinds up to about 300 ft. before really needing to use a fairway driver. The protege plastic is very dense and takes a long time to beat up and make flippy. If that's what you want, then I'd recommend getting excel plastic for at least one disc.

I was very excited to try the Protege Ghost, as it was billed as a Roc replacement, but I found it to be a little less stable then a fresh KC Roc. That is not a bad thing, unless you are looking for the consistent stability of a Roc. I would guess other plastics might be more stable for the Ghost. Overall this is a nice midrange for cycling, and one that a newer player could get some good use out of it.

I love a stiff KCPro Roc, especially from the 11x era. Well, those are getting harder to come by and are going up in price. Then Legacy finally released their Ghost in Protege plastic. I immediately bought a few and went to the nearest field to test them out against my 11x Rocs. Here is what I found:

    1) Rigidity: Similar to that of an 11x Roc

    2) Feel: The feel of the plastic is a bit different in the hand. A bit more velvety and I prefer it over the 11xRoc.

    3) Flight: I threw it into a head wind, crosswind, and tailwind and I could not tell a difference between how the 11x Roc flew and the Protege Ghost flew.

After my test flights I bought a few more 179g - 180g whites. I prefer the white but I have also thrown a pink and it is similar. The lightweight yellows have a BIG dome and fly straighter with more glide.
