If you’re looking for the best disc golf putter for new players, don’t look past the Latitude 64 Ruby. This disc is in the Latitude 64 “easy to use” line. The Ruby is an accurate putter and a great approach disc for beginners. As an understable putter, this disc helps newer players overcome the frustrations of low-speed fade.

Absolutely love this disc! It has been one of my favorite discs and I constantly find fun situations where I can't imagine throwing anything else. Once you get to know the Ruby's understability, you can make this thing turn at any point in flight from 0 to 200-ft depending on the hyzer angle of release. A powerful addition to your bag, particularly for players who only or mostly only use their backhand.

Do not get this disc as a putter, wildly inconsistent in the circle. Also don't expect it to be your go-to approach disc, it does not have a consistent landing point. What I use it for is its consistent flight path, this disc will reliably turn on paths you previously did not see.

Makes me happy to throw every time. Highly recommend

When I lose confidence in my putting game, I tend to throw slow, and always fall short of the basket.  The Ruby remedies those days.  It makes up for my childish throws and gets the speed and straighter flight when I'm not feeling confident.  It's effortless when I can't put the right effort into putting.  I imagine there will be a time that both my daughter (she'll probably be 10) and I are throwing a Ruby.

For beginners, I'd give it 5 stars.  For my everyday putting, I'd give it 2 stars.

This disc is not for throws over 50 feet.
