The River Pro is a new control driver from Latitude 64. Like the River, the River Pro is a larger diameter disc with lots of glide. It differs from the original River by being a more stable disc. This disc fills in a 'Teebird like' fairway driver section for Trilogy's line up.

I purchased this disc because my doubles partner loves it. It is consistently straight for him and when trying to get turn it will but will straighten back out well. For me, since getting it I have used it also for forehand. Holes where I have to keep it low and get a subtle s-curve this works great. GIven the numbers on this I believe is a good disk for beginners.

This is great. Flys great. Feels good in the hands. Does what it is supposed to. Go to disc for me and a couple of the guys I play with. We all have one in our bag!!!

This is hands down my favorite disc in my bag. It's the perfect disc off the tee for those 275-310' holes. The fade is the most consistent that I've found with all my discs. I also use it as my mid when I need a little more straight with that consistent fade at the end. It's also very easy to throw dead straight with a little anhyzer. I've hit the chains numerous times off the tee but this will be the disc I hit my first ace with. The disc flies true to the numbers and you don't need a lot of speed.

I wasn't sure about this disc at first because I saw online it was a 6 speed but people were recommending it to me. Got one from local Play It Again Sports and found out that it was retooled mold and became a very comfortable fairway driver. With a hair of turn and very light fade this is a very controllable disc that likes to handle speed. This is a perfect fit between my very understable Fury and my go to Getaway drivers. If you're looking for a straight to light finishing driver, get the 9 speed river pro.

One of the first discs I figured out how to properly throw that wasn't DX plastic. Holds a line very well. Lost count how many rivers I've purchased over the years.

This disc is very overstable. It is sometimes difficult for me to get any distance out of it on a backhand release as it immediately fights you right out of the hand. Gave it to a few of my friends though and they are getting the disc to work very well.

Good low-speed driver for beginners and weaker arms.  I find the River to have a decent amount of turn (at least, more than the 0 rating indicates) with a nice gently fade at the end if given enough airspace.  The rim feels great in the hand and the Opto plastic holds up exceedingly well to trees and rocks.  When thrown low and slow, it flies nice and straight, a good driver for the woods.

I grabbed this disc as a learning disc for my backhand (was a mostly forehand player until elbow pain from bad form put a stop to that) a few months ago when I was basically a beginner. At that time, the disc had a good amount of stability for me and was like a more overstable version of the leopard I was bagging at the time, so kind of a teebird clone but a bit slower. It became a go-to disc for forehand shots that need to go right around the same time. Fast forward to now where my arm speed is getting a bit faster, and the disc flies super straight or even gives me a little turn. So if I need to hit a straight gap and then fade a bit, which happens a lot as I play mostly wooded courses, this disc fits that role for me very well now. It's easy to control and I can throw it confidently, with similar results both FH and BH. Honestly, the only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is that it is not going to be the teebird clone it's advertised as. I would go with an explorer to fill that slot.

Frankly, I did not intend to buy this disc. I was looking for a River and this was on the wrong rack and I wasn't paying enough attention. Now that I have it, I actually really like it. For whatever reason, this has turned out to be a perfect forehand disc. It fits really comfortably in the hand forehand and when I throw it, it takes off dead straight, glides forever, and then fades gently at the end. With the backhand, the disc does fit awkwardly in the hand. No disputing that. Still, it is a very useful disc. It fills the spot in my bag that my lost Teebird used to fill well enough that I'm not going to go right out and grab another Teebird.

Even if you never throw this thing backhand, it is worth a shot forehand.

It seems like I might be one of very few people who really like this disc, but I really do. I have both a XXX and a Culverin in my bag, but I tend to grab this disc more often than either of those by a lot. It fits in my hand similar to the River, which I LOVE, but flies more like a fast midrange. I understand that people are weird about it, because it fits in a weird spot in between midranges and fairway drivers, but it makes for a really trusty disc for me.

I bought this hoping it would compliment my river and be a straighter with more fade than my river was. I loved throwing my river on straight to slight right finishes and turnover lines. So I got the river pro hoping I could throw it on straight lines that would fade more left than right like my regular river does. It never really did that, it was kind of like a river clone just was inconsistent on flight and felt worse in my hand. I feel like this disc is advertised as somthing that it was not like. It is supposed to be like a teebird but I found that it was way less stable than any teebird I have thrown out of the box. I would much rather throw my river on more angles than bag this disc just due to feeling and the lack of trust I have that this disc will do exactly like I want it to. I could see some people liking this disc if they like larger diameter discs but I am a smaller disc kind of guy and I just hated the rim feeling in my hands. I have realtively large hands and I like wide rimmed drivers mostly but this just felt like a nasty bulky rim to me.

I really like my River! I LOVE the glide it has and the slow gentle turn when you throw it with power. However, there are times I'd like to get that same flight with just a bit less turn. That's what I was hoping the River pro would be. I wanted it to have the same feel and flight with just a tad more stability. Boy am I disappointed. This disc is NOTHING like the River. Not even sure why they have the same name.

First of all, the River Pro just feels odd in my hands. I has a super thick rim. Not wide, but deep/thick. It just feels chunky. I don't like the feel at all. That's the first difference in the characteristics of this vs. the original River. Then, the flight. I don't see anywhere near the same glide with this disc as I do with the River. Very disappointed in that. To be completely honest. I could see me selling this disc already after only owning it for a week now. I just don't see any instance where I'd actually use it out on the course over other options I have.

Odd disc.  I received this disc for free winning a CTP in a local tournament.  My disc unlike the numbers on infinite here says it's a speed nine.  Due to this I've not bagged it.  I've thrown it only a couple times.  very understable.  It does have a lot of glide, very easy to turn over.  Beginner disc at best

I really wanted to love this disc. I have been throwing the River since I started playing and I was hoping this would be the beefier version. Well it is beefier for sure but it doesn't really feel like the big brother to the River like I had hoped. The mold feels very different from the River. If you are looking for a disc that feels like the River but with more stability... check out the Explorer.

That said, I am bagging this River pro as a utility disc when I need to turn a corner around something but can't get height.  I am throwing the Trilogy Challenge River Pro and I have heard the production runs are not as stable and beefy but I haven't tried them.

haven't had disc long but like the river it holds whatever line i throw with a good care at the end. It's low speed helps in some situations. Use it Alton short holes.

In calm conditions, or with a tailwind, I absolutely love this disc. It has a nice deep-dish feel in the hand with a pleasantly-smooth edge on the inside of the rim. It has more glide than most discs.

It feels like a fast midrange or a slow fairway driver.

The first time I threw the River Pro at the 2017 Trilogy Challenge, I knew this was going to have a full time spot in my bag as my primary overstable fairway driver. I love how consistent the flight is and it is a great counter point to my Opto River. With those two discs in my bag, I have left and right turn shots totally covered.

I found the River Pro to be surprisingly underwhelming. Doesn't do anything special. Solid disc, I would rather throw a midrange such as a Roc, Fiji, or even a Leopard. Just not a great follow up to the original River.

The River Pro is actually quite a bit more stable than the River. I really like the disc. I used it in the Trilogy Challenge 2017 and it was a very usable disc (the Pine is also fantastic, my favorite midrange). It flies very similar to my teebird, but the biggest difference is that the River Pro has a very sharp edge on the bottom of the rim. I actually use a Prodigy F1 in this overstable fairway slot and it's a bit more stable than the River Pro. I think it's a great disc, and flies just like it's supposed to. I can use it for backhand and forehand. 4 stars because of the feel of that sharp ridge on the bottom.

Not entirely sure where all of the hate for this disc is coming from. It flies well for me, true to the numbers. For me this disc is easier to throw than a Teebird, but with the same overall flight pattern and characteristics. I have two, one in opto and one in opto gold neither are too over stable, they glide well and have predictable finishes. They are nothing like the original river, in flight pattern, but then they really aren't meant to be.

Opto 175g. This disc was much more OS than I expected. It is quite dumpy and has a nice flight once you get used to the disparity in its actual flight and its numbers. I'd happily use it in the os fairway driver slot. However, my culverin and XXX already fit its spot so it didn't make my bag.

I tried this disc out at the trilogy challenge. I didn't know anything about the disc exept that it was really overstable. I actually started throwing it into the tee pad mid round to break it in. For what it is it's ok I guess. It's compared to a teebird. Even being mostly a trilogy guy I think the teebird is a better disc. The rim on the river pro is very deep which personally isn't very comfortable.

I did the Trilogy Challenge and the River Pro was soooooo overstable that to get it to go down the fairway at all I had to put such an Anny on it that by the end of the Challenge and the next day too, my wrist was killing me. Now, I only use it on one 160' hole around here where I have to go around a big tree. I put a severe Anny on it, it goes around the tree and then fades hard and lands just feet from the basket. Otherwise, in my opinion this disc is almost completely worthless. This thing is more overstable than my Firebird. Maybe I just got a bad disc.

    Trilogy Teebird? Could it be?

So I heard that the River Pro from the Trilogy Challenge has some turn to it. However, I recently purchased the stock stamp one in white Opto at 177g. This disc flew exactly as the numbers described in my opinion [7, 5, 0, 2.5] Now I don't know why, but on the stock stamp the numbers printed on are [9, 6, -1, 2] which would be like the 4th disc Latitude makes with those numbers. Not sure if it's a misprint or what, but numbers aren't everything anyway. The rim is comfortable and barely wider than most mids. The dome is very present, but it wasn't awkward at all. Im a backhand thrower and this disc has loads of control and a nice amount of stability. As a matter of fact, on my first throw I thought it would fly straighter, but it wanted to fade out pretty heavily after a somewhat straight flight. After a few more drives with it, I started to really enjoy the delicate balance of glide and stability it had. By that I mean it isn't glidey to the point of being unpredictable, and it isn't stable to the point that it just wants to dump out. It flies straight with a good amount of carry, then fades nicely; not too hard, not too soft. Although I've only played one round with it in breezy conditions, I must say I'm very happy with the flight of this disc. The River Pro can handle a breezy headwind without a problem. However, it wouldn't be my first choice in an aggressive headwind, which is a situation for the very overstable discs anyway.

Overall, I would say this is a versatile disc that would be most ideal for backhand players in wooded scenarios. However; with it's balanced glide to stability ratio, I'd recommend it to nearly everyone on all types of courses.

Used in a trilogy challenge and the only thing i didn't like was the feel of the rim.  Unlike the River which feels perfect in your hand, the River Pro was very uncomfortable to grip.  It makes for release issues.  This disc is a pure Back hand disc.  It was stable but less than expected.  that combined with the rim made this a poor forehand disc.  Most of the forehand players really struggled with the river pro as their only driver to use. Teebird and Rival not ideal for forehand but they work just fine still if needed.   I didn't bother throwing anything but Backhand.  All that aside it flew pretty good and had a trusty little fade at the end. parked a couple holes once i got used to it.  I think people with bigger hands will maybe like the rim better i'm not sure.  This is a good disc for beginners and would be good step up from the river for more fade and stability less glide. Especially if you are big Trilogy fan. i don't think a lot of pros and advanced players will bag this because it is not as universal as other comparable discs.  4 stars instead of 5 for rim and wanted more stability.

The River Pro is a solid addition to any player's bag.  I found that I was able to get a very consistent distance on each of my throws with the disc.  The biggest issue I found was that it seemed like the River Pro may be more understable than originally planned.  I found that I had a lot of my throws with the River Pro pulled to the right a good bit before fading back down to the left.  It wasn't just me who had this issue either, as everybody else who was a part of my Trilogy Challenge tournament was having the same problem.  Once I got used to the flight pattern of the River Pro though, I found that I was able to get a lot more distance on the disc.
