First impressions of the Mercy Zero Soft Burst.

I am a fan of the floppy soft putter. I have thrown an Omega Super Soft since 2000. That disc has been money for me off the tee, fairway and of course as a putter. And it is BEAT! And my wife stole it.

Enter the ZSB Mercy. I picked this one because I was looking for a straight flight putter. The Mercy is darn near a frozen rope.  I was able to get the disc out to 275' with  no turn and nearly no fade. The disc hyzer flipped quickly and went dead on straight.  Mild anhyzer, straight.  Pronounced hyzer and anhyzer held the line and sat down at the end.

The Mercy is evaluated at 2/4/0/1. I would agree with these in general.  I was able to rip on this disc and not turn it over. So the speed 2 is somewhat arbitrary.  What the speed presents is a easy to throw disc that everyone can throw. Glide 4 is spot on.  The Mercy held the air for the full flight. 0 turn. Yep. 1 fade I would bump to near 0. The Mercy lands and sticks. No skip or roll.

The physical characteristics.  The rim is somewhat deep which for me provides for a firm grip. I would compare to the Aviar. In fact the profile looks much like the Aviar with less shoulder. Flat but not board flat.  The ZeroSoft is incredibly grippy which I like. Very comfortable in my hand. I can see this getting pretty neat up especially since I mainly play woods courses and no tree is a stranger to me! Still, I am holding out for the durability of the Omega.

I highly recommend this disc for anyone looking for a straight shooter. I really enjoy throwing the Mercy.

Disclaimer. I have only field tested the Mercy along side the Shield. Cannot report on how the disc interacts with chains yet.
