This disc is AMAZING! The glide is incredible, the stability is perfect and the rim shape is fantastic. I can throw this disc over 300 ft on a good day. It doesn't like headwinds very much, but throw it into a tailwind and it will go forever. It flies very straight with very little effort and I would recommend this disc to anyone looking for a good driving/approach putter. It is also a very straight flying putting putter and thanks to the extra glide, it is great for outside the circle putts, I hit my longest putt with this disc which was about 70 ft. I will always sing the praises of this disc, it is by far my favourite throwing putter that I have used.

So I'm a lower intermediate player having been playing for about a year now. I have a lot of shots in my arsenal, just lacking the distance. With this in mind I started to work on my finesse game. Basically that meant throwing my putters more and my power discs less. I actually bought the Mercy on my way to the course. The first throw caught my attention. This disc is like a freaking drone!! It's laser straight with almost no fade. You point, it goes. I was using it for my approaches from about 200' in. I had no desire to use the Mercy as a putter and it didn't disappoint. During my 18 hole round, I didn't reach for my mids one time. I'm an instant fan of this disc!

My Flight Ratings: 2/4/0/1 Neutral Throwing Distance: N/A Straight Score: N/A

About a year and a half ago, a friend invited me out to play some disc golf. I had played a few rounds, many years before, but it never really clicked for me until I went out that time. I played fairly well, considering I was a beginner, and quickly became addicted to the sport. The next day I asked a co-worker, whom I knew was an avid disc golfer, if he had any spare discs for sale, and perhaps a small bag. He kindly obliged, and took me to the trunk of his car where he had a huge collection. After pointing out the ones that weren't for sale, he handed me an Innova starter bag and told me to fill it up with whatever I wanted. I fit 12 or 13 discs in there and among them was my first Zero Soft Mercy (175g).

After a month of completely ignoring my putter in favor of a Roc, (I had little control over such a neutral disc as the Mercy at the time) I decided it was high time I learn to putt with an actual putter. When I made the switch, the lack of bead on the Mercy as compared to a Roc felt odd in my hand, so I started experimenting with other putters. I tried various Aviars, a Pig, and one or two others not worth mentioning.

By this time I was starting to get some consistency in my putts, but I would frequently miss left. This falsely led me to believe it was because the putters I was using were overstable (I couldn't POSSIBLY be at fault!) so back to the Mercy it was. Fast forward a year. I've bought a few of these now, though I still use my old beat in Mercy most of the time when putting. The newer ones are great for arrow straight upshots and long turnovers. There is almost no fade when thrown flat, and there's not a single line you can put this on that it won't hold till the end.

I know this review is long, but a putter is a personal thing, so I decided it needed some back story in the review. My Mercy is the only disc in my bag I still carry from my used starter pack I bought, and there's a reason for that. Its a fantastic disc. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

I do love this putter. I picked up one a Zero Soft. The feel in hand is amazing. It has the right amount of grip and flex for me. I like that it is it not floppy but will bend nicely. The rim depth is perfect for me. I am no putting expert, but this putter is giving me the extra confidence I need to go for longer putts and believe I can make them.
