I received this disc using the "mystery disc" option on checkout.  What a nice surprise!  This disc is by far my favorite putter, and I can count on the consistency.  I am not good enough to get usefulness out of putts, but Im sure that tactic is available with skill.

Got this disc because it feels like a less round Dagger, shallower and just a better feel in the hand. I had putted with Daggers for a few months decided they didn’t work as well as I hoped from distance and in winds. The Dagger seemed to float more with my push putt  so it forced me to go elevator drop in putt style, this becomes inaccurate in the wind, outside the circle, and up/downhill putts. Where the Dagger floats, the Gauntlet glides. This allows me to push putt more direct to the basket with less arc, and if I need power up a 50 footer the disc won’t float higher as a result of the added power.

Off the tee this disc is a great angle point and shoot disc holds lines doesn’t turn over. Also I feel like I can rip on it more off the tee than most other putters. If thrown flat it will go straight and finish slightly left.

I bought the Gauntlet in Gold Line plastic to use as a driving putter based on a video review that made it look pretty good. Hasn't worked at all for me and it's probably coming out my bag at this point. I've seen it described as a less deep Dagger with a shape that's like a Judge. I putt with Judges and in my opinion the feel is pretty different.

The extra depth is what messes it up for me as a driving putter. When I throw the Gauntlet with a power grip, it hangs on my fingers too long almost every time and turns over. I had to abandon the power grip entirely and switch over to fan for it to come out clean. My form is far from perfect, but at the same time I'm not looking to change my motion or release habits for one disc.

It's a bummer because the flight ratings are right for what I'm looking for full power putter drives. It's got nice stability when thrown well could be solid as a putter in a different plastic.
