The Dagger was developed with the help of pro disc golfer Dave Feldberg to bring Latitude 64 a deep, beaded putter similar to the Discraft Challenger and Gateway Wizard. Compared with the Wizard, this disc is not quite as deep. The 1.5cm rim depth is .3cm less. The Dagger is designed to ‘float’ into the chains at lower speeds to minimize the probability of long comeback putts. This putt-and-approach disc should be a very straight flyer, perfect for lofting push putts.

After about a year of searching, trying find the best putter "feel", I ended on the Dagger.  In that time I had tried ~10 different putter molds of every kind... shallow/deep, beaded/beadless, 2/3 speed.  As a predominant spin putter, I really appreciate the slow, comfortable glide you get, and the mostly neutral but reliable stability.  It is also a great throwing putter, and in this case I swear it almost feels like a 1 speed, but gets considerable distance due to its noticeable glide.  It will hold its line for 95% of the flight, with an ever so slight fade at the end.

Most of the low ratings on this putter are due to its deep-dish feel.  If you aren't a fan of that type of disc, then it stands to reason you might not enjoy the Dagger.  However, for those claiming that it's impossible to get a clean release, I think that's much more a thrower problem than a disc problem.  I stand at 5'9" with small/average hand size, and I have no problems getting a clean release out of the hand with this disc.

The only reason this review is a 4.5 instead of a 5 is the consistency of the plastic.  I have bought multiple Daggers in Zero Hard, and though the flex of the disc itself is consistent, some provide a good amount of grip whereas others feel much more slick.

Ricky Dagger in an orange/brown leaf color for me is my best dagger yet. I've had zero medium and even came across 2 gold line tourny edition daggers but this one is the best. Cant have small hands but medium size hands are fine. I'd say anybody 5 foot seven inches or over would have a comfortable hand grip. Its my putter I don't throw it often as I over power it and it turns/burns.

So, I used to putt with a Judge, and it felt like I was constantly hitting the top of the basket with my putts. So I did some looking, which led me to the Dagger. It could just be in my head, but it seems like my putting has improved drastically. I am much more confident in my stroke now that I have found this putter, and it helps that I have big hands. This putter fits my hand better, and it seems to make me a better putter. The Ricky Daggers are just as good as the normal Zero Hard Daggers as well. Just a great putter!!!

I have been using this disc for well over 2 years, and that is because I found it in a river and never thought about changing. That being said, it has been a good putter and consistent in its flight path. Yes, this putter has a deep rim, but I have grown used to it over time and at the end of the day it comes down to preference. I think this disc is a solid putter that flies straight easily. I especially like the hard plastic in the hand, as it allows for straight flight and consistency of feel. Again, this is all preference, and the best thing you can do is get one and try it! I would recommend this disc to a beginner to try if they are having trouble with thinner putters, as this putter has a solid feel. I now own 3 of them, and do not plan on changing any time soon.

User avatar level 1 draycon530 · 7y Athens, GA (RHBH) 3 years I've got a soft Judge that has so many lumps in it from hitting trees, and it is still my main driving putter. Just find a comfortable spot to hold it and it still flies like a dream. My SSS wizards look exactly the same - doesn't seem to affect them negatively they just go even straighter if anything - my comfortable straight line power with them is ~250' (300' possible on a really good rip with a bit of an s curve) Ever so such a slight hyzer that they flip out of and just glide straight and land with the tiniest touch of fade. I love wizards - if it goes wrong it's 'cause I've thrown it wrong.

I've been warned by all the reviews saying you must have large hands to enjoy this putter, but that hasn't been my experience. I have very small hands and I LOVE the way that this disc just fills up my hand completely. I have a tendency to yank my putts by doing too much with my wrist and fingers, but the the dagger it feels like I'm tossing something just at the basket. I can honestly putt this disc just by jamming it into my palm and pushing it at the basket. The spin that is generated by your palm is ridiculous with the dagger. The less I try to get my fingers involved the better.

On outside the circle putts you do have to give it some height and a little nose down so it doesn't stall out on you, but within the circle I feel like I'm putting with cheat codes. If you have a problem committing to you putts and use too much arm, this disc will still get there.

The Dagger is the putter of choice for Ricky Wysocki before he left, and he did some amazing things with this mold. It is a deep feeling putter, and although it doesn't measure larger than a lot of putters, it does feel very deep to me. I have smaller hands, so this was not a putter that clicked for me. It does have a relatively straight flight, but with stability. This disc works as a thrower or in the circle. Players with an interest in deeper putters should give the Dagger a try.

From KC Pro Aviars to Classic Hard Judges, I've found that the Zero Hard Dagger is my go-to putter for 12 meters and in. Beyond 12 meters I've found that the Dagger must be thrown quite high and forced nose down to mitigate stalling and early fading, seeing how it has so much glide you need to watch the nose angle. But nothing beats the comfortable grip and the reliable flight of a Dagger. Highly recommend one for the intermediate to advanced to pro players.

I was always between putting styles (spin vs push) until I picked up a dagger. I am now only putting with my daggers and they find the chains for me more than any other putter. The deep dish feel of the dagger is an acquired feel, but I will say that the deep dish allows for more glide which mean less effort to get to the basket.

I absolutely love this putter!  How I ended up trying the dagger was my buddy had picked up a Ricky Wysocky special edition version and when I picked it up the shape of the putter and the feel of the plastic were better than anything else I had felt.  As soon as I found one I picked it up and have been throwing it for my putts ever since.

I do a push putt and I use a now beat in Dagger that goes very straight and has lots of float so it is easy to get to the basket.  I prefer the feel of a ZeroHard Dagger that is beat in because the fade decreases a bit and I can throw it on dead straight lines which makes aiming much easier.

I have heard some people say that this disc isn't as comfortable with smaller hands because of how deep its rim is, so that is something to note.  Also I only use this putter for putting, not for upshots or driving.  I switch to the Judge for ups and putter drives, which has almost the same numbers but a shallower dish which I prefer for throwing.

Overall I would definitely recommend trying this putter if your looking for a straight flying beaded putter with good glide!

What a great putter. I personally like zero hard as the platic type. Of course I bought this putter because the world champ (Ricky Wysocki) uses them but once I picked one up at the local disc store i fell in love and bought out their stock and haven't looked back.

I have never been as confident with a putter inside the circle as I am with a Zero Hard Dagger. I have road tested several putters and used the Nova as my main for a long time, but I was always drawn to a Zero Soft Dagger I used for shotgun range putts.

Once I tried out the Zero Hard version, I was sold. A great disk that holds a line and will reward confident putts.

The only issue I have with the Dagger is it can be smacked hard by wind (but what putter isn't?) so I typically throw a VIP Harp or BT Medium Shield if the wind is howling. Otherwise, I am a Dagger fan for life.

I have been searching for a putter that I like for a long time and I think I have found the one! I bag two Zero Hard Daggers now for strictly putting inside the circle. This is a deep beaded putter with nice glide and straight flight. For me anywhere from 30' and in this putter finds the chains. I love the feel of the disc and I like the grip of the Zero Hard plastic. I don't think any other putter has been as reliable as the Dagger has for me so far. I have not had a chance to drive with it and honestly I dont want to. The rim is too deep for a comfortable drive grip, but man it feels great for my putt grip. Give this a shot if you are looking for a reliable short distance putter.

Awesome putter!  It's almost a 3/4 bead or already worked in beaded putter. It reminds me of my old 9x KC Aviars in the float/glide it has when putting.  Good glide, plenty stable and not too overstable unless you play it to be overstable.  It works as a good straight to turnover approach disc and short driving disc as well.
