The Järn’s flight pattern makes it just as competent for touchy flex shots as for flat-out hyzers. It can handle headwinds and also provides a soid end-fade. Its low profile makes it easy to grip and to release. Järn is the Swedish word for iron.

this disc was more stable than your normal zone when it was kasta-made and slightly domey. when they transfered to triliogy it shows a stability more compariable to an esp or beat in z zone, only on the tee though. on aproaches it is noticably more stable, the conclusion i take from these noticings is that it is incredably accurate to the numbers as faster discs are more stable when thrown slower. great os approach for people looking for a thicker rimmed harp or have bigger hands

This disc is amazing for an overstable approach! I absolutely love how it feels for both forehand and backhand. If you have bigger hands, you may not enjoy this, but if you have smaller hands like me, then this will give you the confidence for shots.

Great overstable approach disc. Nice low profile, no sharp or blocky edges. Fantastic feeling plastic. Gummy but rigid enough to hold up in all weather, and plenty of durability. The 4.5 speed number is pretty accurate too. I found it to be faster than a zone (4 speed) but slower than a quake (5 speed). That being said, it's kind of an odd slot between putter and midrange. I prefer the zone so that I won't come in a bit too fast on the approach, but the Jarn is definitely worth trying if you need to fill this slot

Hands down favorite overstable approach disc! Did the Zone like most people for awhile but fell in love with K1 and have since become a Kasta-snob. Extremely reliable disc and feels super comfortable for both FH and BH. Kind of like a get out of jail free card disc too with how overstable it is, but I woudn't say so much that you can't get use out of it. You can really rip into this like throwing a fairway or distance driver and will never turn over, just go super straight and crash hard. Definitely one of the best discs on the market in my opinion. So much versatility.

Great approach disc. K1 is one of the best plastics I have felt. It feels slightly more overstable than a zone but also feels like it glides more before dumping off.

This is probably my favorite disc in my bag.  I am a relatively big guy and throw almost exclusively forehand (backhand not pretty.... I'll get there).  I really don't get the zone comparison.  From a forehand perspective this just feels so much better in your hand.  It's also more forgiving when it comes to carving lines.  I can get about 230 feet if I wing it, but it is a great disc for little 50-100 foot flicks as well.  It is stable enough to hold it's line, and won't dump on me like a zone.  More glide then a zone as well but certainly not floaty.  If your are looking for a forehand approach disc give this a try.  I promise you won't be disappointed.

My new favorite approach disc. Kind of an inconsistent mold but if you find a flat one they are beeeeefy and great in the hand. I'd say beefier than a zone but less than a justice or anvil.

What can I say about the Jarn that hasn't already been said? Not much to be honest. This is a great disc and of course Kastaplast's K1 plastic always feels amazing. The grip is incredible and it is super flexy which I absolutely love in premium plastics. This disc is of course Kastaplast's Zone/Harp/Tactic type disc but it seems to have a bit more glide than the Zone and Harp. Even brand new, if you force it over, it will hold the angle for a bit before it hooks up and has that super reliable fade. The two Jarns I threw were quite a bit different. The stock K1 was super puddle-topped and the FR K1 Regrind actually had a bit of dome on the top. This of course led to the minty baby being a bit more glidey than the pink beauty. With that being said, they both had that reliable finish. As far as the feel in the hand, the Jarn actually feels better to me than the Zone/Harp/Tactic. This could be my brain fooling me because I love the K1 plastic so much but this disc felt absolutely amazing. If I had to compare the flight of this disc to a disc that I personally bag, it would be the RPM Discs Kea. They have a completely different feel in the hand, but the flight of the two molds is very similar. In short, the Jarn is a great disc but there's no way it would knock the Kea out of my bag. If you want to see the Jarn being thrown and reviewed by 5 different players, check out the video below.

The Jarn is not just a "Zone clone" as many might think. Though it does feel similar in the hand to a Zone, the flight is definitely different. The Jarn comes out of the hand quickly and has no intention of holding a flat line. I have heard some compare this to a slower Justice, and I would tend to agree. I would give it flight numbers somewhere in the range of 4.5/2.5/0/4.

I have decided to try and bag both a Jarn and a Zone. I do think a Zone is more versile overall, but the Jarn is a great utility disc you can't really go wrong with if you are a lover of Kastaplast.

The latest offering from Kastaplast is outstanding and immediately found a place in my bag.  It is a very overstable approach disc that is a joy to throw.  It sits between my Zone and my Deflector.  It has a very flat top and is pretty shallow.  I use it mostly for forehand shots, though it is very comfortable for backhand as well.  It is much less skippy than my Deflector and a bit slower, and MUCH more overstable than my Zones.  I am really hoping that they release it in the K1 soft plastic.  Though I think it's a disc that most would enjoy, it's very overstable, which could prove frustrating for beginners.
