I hear a lot of players in the reviews saying that this is not a good disc for lots of power, and I suppose it's more about the type of power you have. Whatever line you put this on it will take, power regardless. I can get this thing going for 350ft on whatever line I like. As long as you get good spin it will glide for days. Throws very similar to my FD, but with a far wider rim. This is my go to straight shooter from 150-350 feet, or if I simply need a shot that won't skip too far left or right after it lands on an anny/hyzer

I really enjoyed throwing the Wombat. It has an understable, but controllable flight. I would not want this as a disc in the wind, as its going to just sail away from you, but if you pair this with a more stable midrange, you could have some nice shots. Tons of glide on this thing.

Absolutely love the Wombat....Even beginners will find this disc to be point and shoot....My first midrange disc to be able to put on and hold an anhyzer flight throughout the entire flight....i use this disc in tbe woods to shape shots up to 225ft.... Great midrange to learn to shape your shots

The wombat is an understable midrange that is great for beginners who are looking for a premium plastic midrange.  For a more advanced player the wombat wil flip very easily.  I use it a lot for pitching out of the woods and moving up the fairway at the same time.  I can also use its glide to throw controled hyzers around trees.  Very similar to a FD or an escape.

I was looking for a great midrange. I purchased the MAKO, LYCAN, COYOTE, and the WOMBAT. I love all of them and for me they all throw somewhat similar. I didn't care much for the WOMBAT at first but after I got used to the feel of the rim it flies great and strait. It glides forever and I love it for an approach shot downhill. It will stay on a strait line and fall gentle. Get ya one. Mine is a Champion plastic.

I've been looking for a midrange that when thrown flat will turn slowly to the right and hold that line for the entire flight. My search has ended with my new 180g Champion Wombat. For short shots up to about 275 feet I can get this line with my Nova and for longer shots around 350-425 feet I can get this line with my C-Line FD, but if I power down on the FD it can fade out too early leaving me left of the basket. The Wombat sits perfectly inbetween these two discs for me and is my go to disc for right turning holes from 275-350 feet.

Because its high speed turn is so slow and controllable it is a far more reliable turnover disc on a windy day than most understable midranges. Other understable midranges like the Comet will not reliable flip or will fade out early with a tailwind and can flip unpredictably into a headwind, but that doesn't seem to happen to the Wombat. The biggest effect of the wind on the Wombat is on the glide. Big tailwinds will drop it sooner than expected and headwinds can really make it glide far to the right.

The amount that the Wombat goes to the right is very controllable by varying the height that you throw it. I can throw this disc low and get a flight path that goes 300 feet forward and 50 feet right or i can throw it high and it'll go 250 feet forward and then another 150 feet almost 90 degrees to the right because it has so much glide and very little fade.

I'm not sure if players with low armspeed will be able to get the consistent turn that I'm getting from the wombat but for players who can throw 400+ feet I think the Wombat is the most consistent and controllable turnover midrange out there right now. If your forehand game is weak you should definitely check out the Champion Wombat. Even if you have a great forehand, a high turnover shot with the Wombat will give you a very different line than your forehand and can be a better shot in certain situations.

The glide on this disc is ridiculous. If you put this up in the air it will carry and slowly turn before gently fading at the end. I wouldn't recommend throwing it extremely low because it needs a little bit of air underneath it for it to work, but if you have trees on both sides and you need something to carry down the middle without fading out hard at the end this is a pretty good option. I'm not a huge fan of understable discs because I can throw FH and BH, but this disc has found a place in my bag for shots that I need a gentle turn and fade on. It might not work for everyone's arm speed, but if you have a chance to try one out, I'd recommend it.

I really like the Champion Wombat! The Champion plastic gives it a nice low-speed fade that is light but dependable. When I put more power into it, It will hold whatever line you put it on until the duration of the flight. It is a great turnover disc or low speed straight disc. Down at sea level I really like it for high anhyzer shots. Update to come when I try this disc out for rollers!

If you are a fan of Innova's Midrange lineup but are looking for something more understable than a Roc3, the Wombat is a great one to try out. I'm not normally a fan of domey discs, but this one still fits in my hand nicely and gives a solid release. I anticipate this disc will go into my bag at some point this season (2016). I believe this would be a great beginner disc for people with natural power or technique. For extremely low arm speeds, the Champion Wombat may be slightly overstable.
