The DX Sonic offers excellent grip and a soft, tacky feel that’s easy to control for touch shots and short-range putts. Its understable flight and slow speed make it a favorite for beginner-friendly upshots and accurate approach shots.

I love this disc! It isn't perfect in every situation but there are some situations where no other disc will do the job. It is unconventional but so helpful in this disc golfer's humble opinion.

Very straight in 160gram and below. Very slight fade circle 2 but the glide is so nice.

The sonic is a somewhat under stable upshot disc I will compare it to the latitude 64 bite. Are use this disc personally for shots and thrones around 100 feet.I suggest this Disc. For every player.                                         Dx,149g

I tried a Sonics as an Anhyzer putter for a couple rounds but didn't stick with them.  I now use several Sonics to practice hyzer flips in a limited space.  You can flip a Sonic from heavy hyzer all the way over to extreme turn in a space as short as 50' making it great to practice timing, footwork, release, and aim for hyzer flips.

The Sonic is truly a unique disc golf disc. The grip is strange due to the grooved edge around the rim. It reminds me of the free plastic frisbees you get at work conferences.

Flight: The sonic is very touchy, especially in the wind. It turns over pretty significantly when thrown on a drive. You can put it on an anhyzer and it holds it the whole way though.

Uses: I would recommend using this (if you choose use it) on short approach shots or soft touch shots. Due to how understable it is, you can really shape it around trees or objects. I would consider this a circle 2 putter for those with some touch. It is fun to play catch/warmup with though.

Summary: I personally do not recommend the Sonic. It is a fun quirky disc and novel to have in your bag, but I wouldn't use it in a real round. Grab one to show off to your friends and let them throw it, but not something I would use when playing.

The Sonic is a lid style putter that really just glides down the fairway. If you really like the feel, and it is a unique feel, this might be worth a shot. I really didn't throw this disc well, but others can really do some good things with this.

I have had my Sonic for 10 years now and I love it dearly.  At near max weight it is perfect.  Putting it fly's perfectly straight, and glides effortlessly.  I even throw mine off the tee for short turnover shots out to 200 feet.  The problem is I can't find any available near max weight anymore.  They are all lightweight and get really squirrelly and unlike it's max weight counterpart.  Innova hear my plea, I need some max weight Sonic's in my life.  To further my dream, make a run in gstar plastic and my life would be complete.

There is no real easy way to describe what the sonic is other than maybe calling it a frisbee rather than a disc. Yes the term frisbee is meant for the specific one from aerobie, but this feels pretty similar. It would be better suited for a game of catch than used as a disc golf disc in my mind.

It does not handle the wind well because of the odd shape, and it has terrible glide. I feel like putting with a brick would be a better option than trying to use a sonic.

I purchased a super lightweight version of the SONIC. I got one that weighs 96 grams!! Yes, I said 96 grams!! It took a while to get used to throwing something as light as this disc is. It turns over super easy which if you need that type of shot then it is great for that. If there is any wind at all you might as well forget. I got familiar with it and when there is no wind I can give it a little fick and send it strait as an arrow for 50-75 feet. This light disc will fly forever on a steep downhill shot but you can't put any power in it. I got to liking it but I will never bag one. I gave it to my friend and she throws it just fine. I am going to buy a heavier version of the SONIC and I am sure I will have a different opinion of it altogether. I will give it 4 stars because I think it has potential to be a nice short-putt disc.

The Sonic is the old school professional's secret weapon. Ken Climo keeps one in his bag, and so does Brian Schweberger of the Innova team. This disc is unique and super awesome.

If you've never experienced a truly understable putter, then you have to try out the DX Sonic. These discs are incredible, and so easy to throw! It is my favorite disc to warm up with if I'm playing catch with a partner. This disc is good for touchy upshots and hitting gaps. I Really like the Sonic when I'm in a doubles tournament, and can run a 50-150 foot shot without worrying about the comeback (as in, my partner is parked and I have the green light).

This putter is the ultimate beginner disc, especially if the only frisbee a new player has ever thrown is the similarly shaped plastic versions of frisbees that are usually free at public events (You know what I mean)

While most putters have generally the same type of feel, the Sonic is a disc that is completely unique. This is one of the only golf discs that actually won't fade on slow throws. This disc is super easy to throw, just a little wrist snap will send it 50 feet. It's not a disc you're going to ever try and put any power behind.

The Sonic is super susceptible to wind, and even the slightest breeze will change its path. This is an interesting disc and is probably awesome for some. I've never really taken considered using it in actual disc golf rounds. This disc will fly more like a traditional frisbee than any other gold disc out there.
