The Rancho Roc fits just right, between my Emac Truth and Putter. If the target is too far for my putter and I'm worried about overshooting with my Emac, I throw this Roc.

I primarily throw Roc3s so when I first started bagging a Rancho I found it to be flippy and unreliable.  I am now primarily using my Rancho for turnover shots that I need to stop turning late in the flight and settle down.  I can also throw it slower with a slight anny and get a really straight flight out of it.  If I need something OS I'm going to throw a Roc3 or Gator.

The Star Rancho Roc is a nice stable wind fighting Roc in premium plastic. I will say that throwing a Roc in Star plastic just felt different. It felt quite bulky in the hand, I would say that I am more of a fan of the Roc in DX and Pro plastic. The flight of this disc was just that of a beefy Roc. Those looking for a Roc that is going to hold its stability for awhile will like this disc.

This is one of the best midrange discs I have ever thrown. It has the same stable to overstable flight of a brand new KC Pro Roc with a hair less glide. It has the same reliable finish fade as a new KC, but doesn't seem to break in like a KC or DX. This could be good if you're looking for a ROC to fill your "new" roc slot that will stay "newish" for a long time. I used to carry this disc in my "new" Roc slot, two KC pro Rocs in various stages for straight shots, and a beat DX Roc for turnovers. I ended up losing my Star Rancho Roc into the water and never recovered it. Replaced it with an abnormally overstable champ Roc3, but it still just doesn't quite have the same overstable edge that the Star Rancho had.

I started out carrying an x-out rancho roc, not knowing the difference between it and the standard ROC.  This disc is a slower beefier version of the ROC.  I really like the rim shape and its dependable fade, but it slowly found it's way out of my bag for the added distance the ROC3's gave me.  I also added gators to my bag which replaced my need for the rancho roc's overstability.
