I enjoyed throwing the FL, but really don't see a spot in my bag for it.  It is being billed as a more understable Firebird and it does live up to that billing.  However, it doesn't fly as far as a Thunderbird, nor is it as beefy as a Firebird.  This kind of puts it in an in between slot that really isn't needed.  I guess this could be an option for replacing a beat up Firebird if you don't have another one ready to go.

This truly is a less overstable version of the Firebird. Though there isn't much of a difference, this disc definitely has some use out on the disc golf course. When backhanding my firebird, I find it to be too overstable. This disc has about half of the fade that a firebird provides also, since the feel is similar, this was a very comfortable disc for me right away because the Firebird has been my favorite disc since I started disc golf. I find this particularly useful on forehand shots because it doesn't fade as much, allowing a straighter shot with some anhyzer that doesn't fight out as much as the Firebird does. Any shot on hyzer is of course going to be overstable. But anhyzer backhands are where the disc excels on backhands. I like to think of this as my baby Firebird. I still do not use this as much as the Firebird, but it is very useful!
