Interesting disc... in DX plastic it has a little bit of stability, but can be pretty easily overpowered if you're not careful, especially forehand (not torque resistant). I'd imagine harder plastic is a bit more stable. it It feels pretty nice in the hand and flies straight . Decent straighter compliment to the zone slot.

This disc is awesome! As a newer player I feel like the disc is very forgiving. I can throw it accurately and consistently with ease. I picked up the Alien because all the YouTube pundits suggested practicing with midranges and lower speed discs to hone in on backhanded driving technique.  After working with the Alien for a little over week I've noticed big improvements with my distance drivers and I've chalked it up to the work I've put in with this disc. I've found it to be a pretty good swiss army knife. It has good control for approaches and I've used it to good effect putting as well...the rim shape interfaces well with my index finger for snapping off longer puts which has lent me my longest made shot to date. Softer touches yields a predictable amount of fade while puting a little extra on the disc makes it hold a straight line forever. I'd recommend this disc to any beginner as a must have. I could also see how players more skilled and experienced than myself could benefit from this bad war pig and its versatility too!

I got a DX Alien thinking it was a novelty disc that would be fun to play around with, but was pleasantly surprised at how good it is. It flies pretty straight for me and I may try it in my bag for regular rounds for a while.

It also feels good in the hand, especially compared to how I thought it would feel terrible with the weird shape.

One of Innova's most underrated discs!
I think this discs has very great use in the DX plastic. I understand how many may not like it in its star counterpart, but you should really give it a shot in dx! It has a full flight almost every time with its low glide and stability. That mixed with the flippy plastic makes for a flip and a fade in every flight.
Right now I have about 470ft average distance drives, and with a full rip I can get this thing to about 350ft. That is, of course, without it turning over or burning. It will hold the flip for a bit before fading back at the end. Really a great disc that I think everyone should try

I have been hunting for a throwing putter for a long time, never really liked the envy, pure or judge. On a whim I tried the Alien because it was new and I am a novelty seeking consumer. To my suprise it flies for me the way my friend's throwing putters throw with the added benefit of fitting great in my hand. I have had less sucess with forhands than backhands but it is by no means impossible to throw forehand.

If thrown hard it flies straight and pretty far. I was cranking on the Alien with about 85% power and it landed about 20 feet short of the Lions I throw, which is to be expected considering they are 4 and 5 speeds respectively. However when thrown around 40% the disc acts very different, more like slightly lofty zone.

After an afternoon in the field I couldnt help but throw it in my bag, a great compliment to the soft zone and mids I throw.

I have a hard time believing the 2 glide because its not the most wind resistant disc ever and it will hold in the air for a considerable distance in a way that something like a DD slammer never will. If I was to compare this to a disc, the Rat comes to mind.

Now that's a fun disc to throw.

I was fully expecting to not like the Innova Alien, and assumed that it was going to be a wired gimmicky disc that doesn't have a useful purpose other than being different.

I was pleasantly surprised. While the Alien does feel different from traditional disc golf discs, the thumb track helps me to feel complete control for both backhand and forehand shots. It's a stable disc, but really not all that overstable making it great for controlled approach shots. I've only thrown it about a dozen times so far, but am incredibly accurate with this disc and plan to bag it for the present.

If you like trying new discs, things that are different, you're going to want to try an Innova Alien.
