This is a great classic style putter. This reminds me of perhaps an old beaded KC Aviar from back in the day. After disc golfing for 30 years, I've switched to this in X-Blend max weight 175 grams, and it's really working out! Steady and dependable for push and spin putts. It works well for shorter drives too. The X-Blend plastic has a great rubbery feel to it in the hands, and theoretically should stick to the chains a bit better. I also have a D-Blend that flies the same, so don't be afraid to get the more economical option. I was always a fan of scarab bracelets in the jewelry world, and now I have my very own scarab connection. Grab one and give it a try. When you like it you can get some more!

All around great flying putter. Easy to throw and holds a line really well. The xboend is grippy and just the right stiffness. It is a very straight throwing putter and slightly understable when it starts to beat in (average arm speeds that is).  The grippiness makes it superb for running those long putts without harsh skips when you miss.

I got this disc hoping for a more neutral flying putter that felt like a KC Aviar (what I've been using and love the feel of). This disc sure is neutral flying as a putter, and pretty neutral as a thrower as well (straight to a tick understable for me). So in that regard it is a great disc. My only gripe with it is that the bead is much smaller than I was anticipating. Once I had gotten used to the KC Aviar bead, the scarab's bead is barely even noticable. It almost feels beadless. I for one LOVE beaded putters so that was a little disappointing, so I still use the KC's.

However, I do find it worth noting that while I use KC Aviars, the Scarab has stayed in my bag, albeit for a very particular reason. This thing holds an anhyzer so well, so in the event I need to putt anhyzer on a putt to get around a tree (which is pretty common playing on wooded New England courses) I can rely on the scarab to give me a legitimate run everytime.

    My new go-to putter!

I bought a D blend scarab, i wanted to like it... but i just didnt. maybe it was just the run but it was domey and it just was too floaty/glidey and just wanted to hyzer dump to the left. i also didnt feel like it had a trusted grip, though it may just need to be broken in further, so i dont hold that against the disc really.

from the first putt with the X-blend, i knew i loved it even though i missed the putt, haha. i love the added grip, flies true and straight, with NO DOME!! just flat

also, i bought my first signature disc ever, so i am glad to give some proceeds to Joel freeman. he is touring less this year and helping to support his girlfriends flower business, props to him!

bc the disc is so soft, it does get dinged up really easily, even just in my bag bumping against other discs. thats the trade off of a soft disc though. i guess ill just have to buy more...

I used a DX Aviar exclusively for 20 years before I tried the Scrarab. I didn't like the feel of it in my hand at first, but it just kept going in the basket! After awhile I could not deny it's effectiveness, and now use it as my main putter.

The Scarab holds its line longer than you expect, it goes where you aim it, and the X-Blend plastic grabs the chains while still being very durable.

This is a killer disc it reminds me of a mix between a classic Aviar and a P1X with more glide! I don't put with beaded putters because I simply prefer the feel of a beadless putter (I use a Discmania P2) BUT if you are looking for beaded putter that has a consistent flight look no further then this disc! If I used a beaded putter this would probably be the disc I would use. I really think this is like a better version of the Discmania P1X - if you liked that disc but you were wanting more glide; I believe this is the one you should go with!

I use my scarab mainly for shots from 275'-395'. For me nothing comes close to the x-blend scarab when it comes to putter driving. You can put a lot of power with a hyzer and it will flip up to flat and hold straight forever. I don't putt with it very often but when I do, I love the feel of it. I have let people from many skill levels use it, and they all loved it. I don't putt with it very often but when I do, I love the feel of it. It is a great choice for any skill level if you want a straight flying putter.

I've been putting with as well as throwing upshots with the Scarab for several months now. It fits in my hand very comfortably and the V-bottom is easy to release for putting. Scarab has great glide and works well as a less stable throwing option to the Myth. I really like throwing it for upshots with just a bit of hyzerflip to make it fly in straight and flat to slide up to the pin for most of my straight upshots. It also works well for longer turnovers. I prefer the grippy X-blend plastic in this disc.

The Scarab is a bit different from the Myth in shape and feel.  Maybe the Scarab is a V-ClassicAviar.  I liked the feel of the Scarab in my hand.  As advertised, it flies with a bit more glide than the Myth;  the Scarab is a very straight putter.  It flew best for me on longer putts.  The X-blend plastic felt very Pro-'"ish", and that's a compliment, a good thing.  I haven't really ripped it on throws yet, so I'll have to come back and edit the review after I've done that.

I use my X-Blend Myth for inside 1/2 of circle 1. I use the X-Blend "dung beetle" Scarab for outside 1/2-circle 1 and into circle 2 before I reach for my Tombs. The Scarab gave me some solid birdies first time out on the course with it. This disc kept straight with some glide. The Scarab sits well between Myth & Tomb for me.

My putt & approach series will be complete with an Infinite version of the overstable likeness of Innova's Pig, one of the few non-Infinite discs still in my bag.

Infinite had done something great with the Scarab. I have only used it for putting so far, but WOW does it glide! Circles edge putts have never been easier with this disc. It is truly a point and shoot putter in that regard, where you don't really have to work too hard to get the disc into the basket. When I say this, I'm comparing it to P2s and Myths that I've used throughout the past year. Not to mention, that VTech really shines with putting in the wind. I didn't think it would make that much of a difference, but I had no problems canning some really tough headwind putts with the Scarab... and I'm talking about NO deviation from the line I put it on. I can't wait to see how they fly!

Just to say, this disc is incredible!!! Those who have thrown the XT VAviar that was made for the DGWT, this is very similar. The standard Aviar feel we all now and love with a slight microbead and the rounded VTech bottom. This thing is straight as a arrow, I throw on the same exact lines and shots I prior used the XT Nova, but this guy has a shallower, more comfortable feel in the hand, and the release. Incredibly straight, but it won't get flippy on you with power either. It lands soft and sticks where it hits.

On the green, it putts very straight, and fights the wind surprisingly very well. For me, it is the best long-range jump putter I have used.

I would rate it at 2|4|0|0
