    The Gateway Scout is an amazing straight-flying midrange with excellent glide. This disc has a wide diameter, flat top, and a blunt nose. The Scout is stable in flight. It has almost no turn and very minimal fade. This disc has a very shallow rim that allows for an easy release. The Scout is an excellent disc for beginners. It is available in Evolution and Sure Grip plastics, and comes in light weights.

    Evolution is Gateway's durable premium plastic. This is their description:

    The Evolution™ series polymer, a TPU from BASF, has a surface durometer score of 60 D-Shore. It is virtually scratch-, scuff-, dent-, crack-, and chip-proof.     Love this disc.  250 ft and in this a go to mid.  Mine is a little domey which adds a bit of glide to the flight.  I think it turns a little more than advertised but always finishes straight.  Very easy to throw.  You will not be disappointed in this disc.

    My favorite disc. It goes where I want it almost every time. If I'm not throwing a distance driver off the tee pad or putting, good chance I will be throwing my Scout.
