The Sabre is a relatively straight-flying fairway driver by Gateway. This disc offers a mild degree of high speed turn followed by a minimal end-of-flight fade. The Sabre makes a great golf disc for beginners, especially when purchased in light weights.

I have the 25th Anniversary Sabre at 173g, and it's wicked flippy. I'm throwing Teebirds and stuff around 350, so nothing too crazy for power, but this thing needs a TON of hyzer to track straight for me. Based on other reviews sounds like it's just this run, but for me it's way less stable than my Discraft XL or Innova Leopard. Would be good for rollers if I knew how to do that.

I picked up a gateway Sabre a few months ago and it really surprised me! As others have mentioned it sort of feels like a mix between a fast midrange and a slower fairway driver. With proper speed and snap out of the hand this thing loves to flip up and even turn slightly before finishing with great glide. The Sabre really shines on tight wooded tunnel shots where you want to get some distance but you also want a predictable straight shot.

This thing is so straight. Most I've encountered have plenty of dome to them, and throw like a long midrange or a short fairway driver. The glide on these things is fantastic. That 'tweener distance can be a bit strange to range out for my home courses, but it's always a joying throwing it and watching it sail in a straight line. I often find myself reaching for something faster or slower most times, but this is my favorite fairway driver to recommend to newer players and one of my favorite discs in the game.

The Sabre is a disc I've always loved...for me it throws like a slightly slower TL. Doesn't need a lot of juice and when you give it some soft love, it glides, and glides, and glides just straight. Perfect for a 300ft Tunnel Shot given there isn't much wind. If you can manage to find these, this is a great, low effort, highly controllable fairway
