The Sabre is a relatively straight-flying fairway driver by Gateway. This disc offers a mild degree of high speed turn followed by a minimal end-of-flight fade. The Sabre makes a great golf disc for beginners, especially when purchased in light weights.

I have two Sabres, one evolution (170g), and s-series(176g). I have re-discovered how well these fly through tunnel shots, and with the correct release, anhyzer shots, through trees or around mando's.They both also fly predictably straight, and work well for me being a LHBH thrower; very versatile in all weather. I would recommend a lighter version in the evolution material for a beginner. My evolution has found a permanent place in my bag, with my s-series as a backup, another excellent product from Gateway!

found one of these in a pond a while back ( 153 lightweight) and now its a cant do without disc for me, wonderfully grippy plastic, I use it mainly for medium approach shots (without wind) it is fast and arrow straight with a nice predictable Finish, works pretty well on long tunnel holes, i am liking it so much that i will order another so i never have to do without one, funny that a month ago i had never heard of the sabre now it is an important disc in my bag...

I picked up this disc to try to replace an Apache that I lost and often used for forehands. I was very disappointed. This disc seems to fly well as a backhand fairway driver, staying fairly straight through the flight, but on forehands, or really any power shot, I could not get it to hold I line well. If I lose my Teebird, I might give it a shot, but it certainly won't replace that disc before then.

The sabre is an awesome driver. It has a super straight flight path and feels awesome in the hands. I prefer this disc in the evolution plastic which feels very similar to star. Also available in lighter weights which makes this disc a real good choice for added distance.
