The Prophecy is a slightly overstable midrange disc with good glide and control. It could be compared to an Innova ROC, but with additional speed and glide. The Prophecy has a good resistance to turn and a gentle fade at the end of its flight.

Boy it's rare for me to encounter a disc nowadays that actually moves my needle. The gateway prophecy is a 5 star disc. It glides for days, flies really straight with a little fade at the end, and it is torque resistant. It's only drawback is an odd rim shape, but it feels find in the hand to me. This is a roc type disc that has an ultraflat top, but for me it was less finicky than a rock and I can really get it out there. It's a little bit oversized (may contribute to the glide). I just love it. So good.

Have the prophecy in evolution diamon plastic and I love it.  Been throwing it for a couple weeks and it is very Roc-ish.  Has great glide and can handle some power.  It also flies great when powered down.  All around great mid from Gateway

The Prophecy is a really nice midrange from Gateway. The Prophecy felt like a flat top roc for me. It was very comfortable in and easy to get a nice release on. The flight was also similar to a fresh DX Roc, very straight, with a nice reliable fade at the end of the flight. This really is a nice workhorse midrange option from Gateway.

This is my favorite midrange. The Sure Grip is perfectly stable/OS with a ton of glide [the Diamond is fairly OS]. I can push this thing farther than any other mid I've thrown, and as such, has kicked the majority of my speed 7 fairway drivers out of my bag. The rim for my hands is the Goldie Locks of not too deep but not too shallow, so I can power, fan, and flick grip pretty comfortably. Sure Grip plastic is nice and stiff and beats in great for cycling. Diamond can take a heck of a beating without changing flight

    GET. THIS. DISC. NOW.

    Sure Grip - 172g - Stable

The Sure Grip Prophecy is a point and shoot disc.  It's got enough stability to handle a good rip, yet low enough fade to keep that line all the way to the end with minimal fade.  The plastic is firm but super grippy.  Absolute killer for long gliding Hyzer/Anhyzer shots!!!

171g McGlow Roc3 Comparison - I'm not sure if it's the glide or the speed but I get 20+ feet on average.  The Prophecy has a bit more stability letting it handle more velocity but still keeps the minimal fade at the end that I've come to love from my McGlow Roc3.

There's not one single aspect that my Roc3's have over my Prophecies.  After years and years and years of die hard Roc/Roc3 loyalty, I've taken them all out of my bag and put in the Prophecies.  IT'S THAT GOOD.  Please do yourself a favor and try this Prophecy, you won't be disappointed.

I would say that the Prophecy fits the bill as being similar to the Innova Roc. It is a serviceable mid-range disc with a reliable end fade. I threw it in Sure Grip plastic, which is maybe like a tough blend of Innova Pro plastic, or like BT Hard / Zero Hard from Westside / Latitude 64. I threw it in the snow and I could still keep a good grip on it.

I tested the Prophecy on an anhyzer line and it held the line surprisingly well, though it faded out at the end, once it lost speed. So, it may not hold the anny all the way to the end, but it can be guided on different flight paths to some degree, making it quite useful for short-distance shots. If you're looking for a manageable overstable mid-range, the Prophecy is a dependable and quality option.

The Prophecy is probably not the first disc I'd hand a new player, though mid-range discs are great options for new players. But I wouldn't hesitate to give it to a new player that wants to throw and understand a more stable-to-overstable flight path because they'll be able to get the desired results without needing a ton of power.

The Prophecy is probably my favorite mid from Gateway thus far. It's definitely got stability, though, I'd almost rate it a 2.5 fade. It'll hold straight for a bit but then always fade. When thrown on an anny line, it'll hold for a sec, but just start coming out. This disc is workable as far as a slightly overstable mid goes.

The sure grip soft plastic was great for throwing in the snow, like I was. It keeps your grip strong in the cold/wet conditions, and I was able to still get great snap on my throws.

Overall a very solid release from Gateway!
