The Prophecy is a slightly overstable midrange disc with good glide and control. It could be compared to an Innova ROC, but with additional speed and glide. The Prophecy has a good resistance to turn and a gentle fade at the end of its flight.

The Prophecy is, in my opinion, the best overstable mid on the market. Great glide, great stability, goes stupid far for a midrange. Great disc!

I picked this up in Gateway's Platinum plastic. So far i'm really liking this disc. Holds lines well and is very comfortable to throw backhand and forehand. Somewhat OS, but not terribly so.

I received a Prophecy as a mystery disc, and it has been in and out of the bag. It is definitely an overstable mid, with a fair amount of glide. Feel is similar to a Roc or Mace, maybe a touch more shallow. Worth a try!

    Disc - Evolution Diamond Prophecy

Feel - The prophecy feels very roc3 esque in my opinion. The rim is a little bit sharper than the roc3 and a little bit shallower. Although the rim is fairly sharp, it is not very noticeable in my hand. It does have a bead but in the hand it not very noticeable. The evolution diamond plastic is very nice as well and feels to me like a more grippy version on champion plastic from innova. Overall this disc is very comfortable in the hand and feels great.

Flight - The prophecy flies like a bit more overstable roc3. It has a nice straight flight for a while and then has a nice finish once it begins to slow down. I throw this disc for anything that it fairly straight with a decent bend towards the basket.

Overall - I would most definitely recommend this disc to anyone that is looking for that disc in between their overstable mid and their straight mid. It is a great disc that definitely filled a need in my bag.

    Glidey Overstable

This is THE workhorse mid that can hold a spot in any persons bag. It’s reliable and consistent, and because of that it’s gonna survive those tree hits and have a long life in your bag.

Many people dislike the aggressive rim but when you hold it in your hand it’s non existent. It’s shallow with a healthy bead.

If you love Gateway putters you’ll be pleasantly surprised with the great midrange lineup they’re currently rocking. Give this disc a chance you won’t regret it!

This is one of the most difficult discs for me to throw, which is why I gave it a 3-star. Almost every single throw seems to be early release, and usually comes out with a hyzer already on it even though I am no intending to. My theory is that the bead really throws me off as I don't have many with beads and this one seems quite large. Its really difficult to change mindset mid-round and switching off throwing different mid range.

That being said, if you find yourself releasing with anny too often or tend to release late, maybe this disc will help cope some of your issues. I suspect if you only threw this (and other beaded mid range) than it wouldn't be much of a problem either.

I really enjoy the evolution diamond plastic. It feels like a premium plastic but has some flex too it without any wobble. Its also beautiful.

In a nutshell this is an overstable Comet.  It glides like a dream, just like the Comet, but it has that OS of a Roc3.  Gosh, this is such a good disc.  Kudos to Gateway on a winner.

Couldn't wait to try this out as i cycle Suregrip Karmas and overall just enjoy gateway midranges. New Diamond plastic just keeps getting better. This disc can take a really good forehand too which is something i enjoy when you don't need big flares on approaches. I will be grabbing some suregrip to cycle as this plastic never lets you down in rain and beats in famously.

    BEST. MIDRANGE. EVER.

Evolution Diamond - 178g - Stable to Overstable.  Soooooooo much glide!!!!  Perfect for midrange that needs a fade at the end or headwinds.  The fade is 100% reliable but not overbearing.

The Champion Roc3 Comparison -  Prophecy goes further, handles headwinds better, and the Evolution Diamond feels better in my hand than champion (like an already worn in Champion with tons of grip).  My Champion Dye Roc3 dives at the end while the Evo Prophecy turns at the end giving it more grace and accuracy.  It holds both Hyzer and Anhyzer lines better than a Roc3.

    Speed - 5     Glide - 6     Turn - 0     Fade - 2

The Evo Diamond plastic feels great: just the right amount of give and grip without going over the line and being too gummy. It also survives dumb mistakes, trees, etc. as well as any plastic I've ever thrown. The only downside to the plastic is that it, like almost all premium plastics, is slick when wet, though that flex helps some. The Prophecy has a feel-good shape: near flat top, flat nose (think Buzzz), unobtrusive bead, mild shoulder. Feels a lot like a Buzzz with a bead (I guess that would be a Wasp, but I haven't thrown one of those).

The flight of the Prophecy is great, and pretty much as advertised: negligible turn, with a long straight glide and predictable, moderate fade at the end. It is easily the farthest-flying mid in my bag; I get the Prophecy out to 300' with surprising ease, that being a mark I struggle to hit with mids ordinarily. It will hold a hyzer as well, and still glides well on those angles. It is not terribly skippy. Although it does turn over somewhat in a headwind, it holds its own well enough to still be used with only moderate adjustment into the wind. In all these situations and more, it brings predictability and ease of use, two important factors for me.

I snagged an Evo Diamond Prophecy straight from Gateway's website, and I recommend you pick one up as well now that they've hit other retailers.
