The Daytona out of the box is as stable as advertised. However, the Forged plastic beats in pretty quickly because I've tested this disc for a handful of rounds and it now has a pretty straight flight with that expected fade at the end. The rim feels like an in between of an 11 & 12 speed, but is still pretty comfortable.

Daytona is a great overstable and reliable distance driver with great glide. The first time that I threw this disc a very immediate comparison with the discmania PD2, the daytona is a great disc and I would suggest it to advanced level players.

This is a great pushing hyzer destroyer-esque disc. At 450' of power it will push straight without turning over and has a nice solid fade. An anny release will give a good smooth s-curve flight.

This disc is a must have for you forehand dominant players like myself! This disc has a very dependable, but not too overstable flight. I used to be a big destroyer thrower, but the Daytona is making a serious case to take out the destroyers.

    Amazing overstable distance driver!

To me this flies like a Calvin 2021 Halo Destroyer. Pretty stable out of the box, works in a little, but will be the go-to disc for headwinds and anny sidearms.

Disc: 171g Launch Edition Forged Daytona, 173g First Run Forged Daytona

Feel: The Daytona has an 11 speed rim with a nice domey pop top, concave rim underside, and blunter rim than a Wraith or Destroyer. The plastic feels great and overall love the feel.

Flight: My typical overstable driver distance is between 320 and 350 feet. My rated flight numbers: 11/4.5/0/3. When thrown flat, the Daytona has suprising glide holding straight for almost 300 feet then finishes with a pushing fade. Into the headwind it does not turn on me and still finishes. I've found that Halo Wraiths don't quite hold up in the wind, but the Daytona is exactly what I wanted.

Overall: If you are looking for a compliment to a Wraith, the Daytona is perfect. I don't feel it is like a 12 speed Destroyer. The feel and flight is great.

If you're looking for a disc that will have a VERY dependable fade, this is it. It's stable but still very workable. I've really enjoyed throwing tight flex lines with the Daytona forehand. It's a disc that you will be able to rely on in the wind no matter what. Would recommend to more experienced players.

Great stability! Can rip on this disc all day without it turning over and into a roller! Throw it on some anhyzer and watch it's full flight! Great disc for those with lots off arm speed/power but also can be use by others that don't and can be really useful as a workhorse for Sidearm flex shots and much more!

Daytona is a great over stable compliment to the Interval. It will be more of a utility driver at my elevation but it has vibes of my old PD2 mold!

Forged Daytona - A Reliable Overstable Powerhouse

    Review:

The Forged Daytona has proven to be an outstanding addition to my disc golf arsenal, particularly excelling in windy conditions. With an extreme level of overstability, this disc showcases its true strength when faced with strong gusts, consistently holding its line and offering a dependable fade every time it's needed.

One of the standout features of the Forged Daytona is its remarkable ability to handle high winds. Even in challenging weather conditions, this disc maintains its stability, ensuring a reliable and predictable flight path. Whether battling headwinds or strong crosswinds, the Forged Daytona remains steadfast, making it a go-to choice for challenging rounds.

When thrown on an anhyzer angle, the Forged Daytona displays a satisfying flex on an S curve, offering versatility in shot selection. This ability adds an extra dimension to its use, allowing for creative shot shaping and maneuvering around obstacles with finesse. However, the true magic of the Forged Daytona lies in its consistent dump back at the end of the flight, providing a reliable and controlled finish.

Forehand shots with the Forged Daytona are a true delight, especially in the 275-325ft range. The disc's overstability combines with its power, making it a formidable force for forehand throws. The consistent fade ensures accuracy and control, making it an excellent choice for navigating tight fairways or reaching the basket with confidence.

In summary, the Forged Daytona has earned its place as a powerhouse in my disc golf bag. Its exceptional overstability, reliability in high winds, and predictable fade make it an asset in challenging conditions. Whether unleashing powerful forehand shots or navigating tricky lines with an anny, the Forged Daytona delivers consistent performance and has become a trusted companion on the course.

The Daytona is finally here and I can say that it is a great complement to the Interval.  The Daytona is more OS and can take a great amount of torque/anhyzer and still trust to come back!

As the Forged plastic will beat up quicker, I am looking forward to the Composite plastic and maybe even a glow run!

Another winning mold from Finish Line! Keep it up.

*NOTE* I only give 5 stars out to discs that I bag and throw actively. A 4-star disc is great and may come in and out of the bag for me and I can see another player actively bagging it.

This disc is for the big bois. As somebody who can huck a circle pretty far, this is one of those drivers that you can throw as hard as you want and it will always come back out. Throw it flat and it will give you the faintest turn. Give it some annhyzer and it'll hold that line for about 70% of the flight before starting to fade.  It's going to be a workable distance driver for those at the 400-450' (me). The players that I see getting the most use and appreciation will be those 500' players and those who love chopping side arms. I'm looking at you Ohn.

Final note: this is one of the best runs of Forged that has come out to date. Have fun with this overstable driver!

Great overstable distance driver that you can really hit hard and will fly straight and stable out without ever flipping over, highly recommend!

Absolutely love my Daytona, it feels incredible in the hand and is a super reliable wind fighter. This disc has taken over the overstable distance driver slot in my bag immediately and I don't see it coming out anytime soon.

I have let many of my teammates and friends throw it and they were big fans of it as well, and they are very picky for th emost part about new discs (old heads).
