I laughed when I saw this in a mystery box. Didnt think itd have a use. It doesnt have the distance to be considered as a midrange but works well as an overstable approach. Surprisingly works well on the forehand, straight with a finish. as soon as there is a wind, it is rendered useless backhand but retains the ability to work with forehand. Go figure. I bag it!

The interceptor was a surprising disc to me but one I think a lot of people would not use. The main feature of this disc is the floppy rubber feel. I really enjoyed the texture of the rubber but the floppiness was tough to get used to. I think a lot of people would be turned off by how hard it can be to get used to and grip. If you look past the hand feel the interceptor is probably one of the best approach discs you could use. If you need something to hit and stick look no further. The interceptor is a great approach disc with its overstability that you can trust and the fact that is lands and stops. I found it to be most useful on approaches that brought danger in where I wanted to get close but know I will not have an unfortunate roll away. I think some people will love this disc and others will hate it, but for me it will mainly be used for fun rounds or to show off to friends.

First off, don't be turned off by the floppy rubbery feel. Might take a little getting used to but boy is it worth it. These things are surprisingly stable (like a zone/pig/tactic/etc) and are perfect for approach and upshots where you need a reliable fade that just plops and stays. Not to mention you can get lucky and actually go through the bars of the basket and into the chains!

Bought this disc along with the minx.

Too floppy for me to be a driver or mid range, or a putter. Best use I found it for was for short range to get close to basket.

I've got basically the same issues with the interceptor as I do with the koi...its hard to control the nose angle because of its floppy nature. At least it doesn't turn and has more consistency than the koi due to its stability but its tricky to figure out.

This is a love it or hate it disc so I'd encourage you to try for yourself since if nothing else it's fun to toss around indoors for close range putting practice.

I absolutely love this disc. I've hit a couple of inches below the top of the basket and watched it flip over and in. I've hit the band and it drop straight down into the basket. It has become my go-to approach disc. It sticks where it lands including creek banks (from personal experience). There is definitely a learning curve but once you get used to it be prepared for people to be surprised how well it works.

First and foremost. I love this disc! I keep it in my bag for very specific situations. Those situations are as follows, upshots one any roll away prone greens, long distance runs at baskets where going too far past is an issue. This disc is great for shots you need a stop and stick. I adjusted the glide and fade on my review cause it depends on how you throw the disc. I personally throw it at around 70-80% if I'm going for max distance. I found pulling at max stretches the out too much and results in a super weird flight as the disc is warped and flights super straight. I also haven't found the optimal way of forehanding it. All together definitely recommended, just need to work with it and once you get used to it, it will be a staple for tricky situations.

I personally love this disc but I can see how someone might also feel the total opposite. It is extremely flimsy, easily being taco'd but despite that, for me (RHBH) it flys pretty darn stable. I throw it maybe 70-80% and it's reliable. If you want a disc virtually guaranteed to not roll away, this is the disc for you. When it hits the ground, it just crinkles and "plops". I use it for shots where I normally have a higher chance of hitting a bad rollaway and it seems to be just what I needed. I have however, not been able to flick it yet. I'm a primarily forehand player anyways, it requires a lot of touch, and very little torque/arm to get it to fly forehand for me. But for me, those were just experiment throws seeing if I could, I haven't had a throw where I wanted to flick it yet.

This disc is fun. You should get it.

I think throwing this disc is just a fun time! It is very flimsy, but I like the feel of it in my hand. I don't throw very hard, so it wobbles a lot once released out of my hand, so I would not recommend it a lot for beginners who are seriously looking for an approach disc. But this one will give you a good smile! The rim is a nice depth for maximum grip which I also liked.

If i could give this more stars I would. That being said I do not like the way it feels in the hand. I do not like the way out flies out of the hand. It is so soft and uncomfortable to use but I absolutely love throwing this disc. I can't explain. I've had the interceptor for about a week and have been doing a ton of field work with it in preparation for the Queen City Open in Helena, MT and it has become my main approach shot disc.

I don't feel this is beginner friendly mainly because how floppy it is and because it doesn't fit like any other discs I have thrown.

I don't know where to begin.

The reason this disc is so soft and floppy is for one specific reason and that is to stop right away with little to no ground play. It does exactly that!! Even throwing soft anhyzer to flat landing it will maybe skid 3'-5'. Max power I feel this disc can handle without tacoing/folding during flight is 70%. If you put it on a high hard spike hyzer it will stop dead in its tracks and maybe move 2' at most. Amazing!!

Thrown on anhyzer at 60% power it will hold the line for a good while and then reliable strong fight back and fade.  On spike hyzer it just pushes forward of a step hyzer angle never stands up but flies way further than you think it would on the same angle as put off your hand them literally stop in is tracks once or hours the ground.

The one thing i noticed is this disc needs  a lot of hight to work on all the angles hyzer, anhyzer and flat. If throwing flat you can NOT throw this nose down because as soon as it loses enough force and speed will just follow the nose down angle right into the ground super short. This i found is great from short up shots that need to get to the ground quick and stick. Like around OB. But to get any distance it needs to be thrown nose up flat, high anhyzer, hyzer and super high hard spike hyzer.

No matter how you throw this out will not move very far from where you throw it. I played on some elevation could not get it to roll away on any angle. I tried throwing forehand roller and couldn't get it to go anywhere. This being said I haven't played on the more dangerous holes for roll-aways with it, yet.  Lol.

I imagine when this goes for a ace or throw in it will stick in the basket no matter how it hits. It will go in at some point for me I've already had 4-5 shots that landed within 2-3' of the basket. I came wait for that moment it actually lands in.

I mostly agree with the numbers. 5 speed is kind of accurate but might be closer to 4 speed. Maybe not as much glide, 3-3.5 glide. I think a -.5 or -1 is more accurate for turn only because it's so floppy and thrown with any kind of power it turns a little. The fade at first I didn't think was a 3 or called overstable. But the more I throw it the more I agree with that number and would call it overstable The low end fade is pretty heavy and dumps nice and fast. But the low end fade is a really low end speed so it will hold the anyhyzer angle for longer than a 3 fade suggests even on 50%-60% power.

I haven't completely figured out how to throw it flat consistently. It's much easier for me to throw on anhyzer, soft hyzer and super high hard spike hyzer.

I have been working forehand with this disc and it's even more uncomfortable to throw forehand than backhand. But I've been having good results with hard hyzer angle with more of a ultimate wrist flick upshot. Not a lot of arm. Once I get more comfortable with it I think it can be used for more than short chip up forehands. But for right now that's all I can do with it during rounds.

I have two and wish I would have grabbed more. I'm very happy I decided to try this disc.

This is not like Vibram rubber, I don't think it's vulcanized. This is even floppier than Vibram's soft rubber was, and doesn't hold it's rim shape while throwing. It feels like a smooth eraser, not the textured feel Vibram had. It also picks up tons of dirt whenever it touches the ground and is difficult to clean off between throws.

One round and it's permanently booted from my bag.

Very fun disc to throw. Totally a utility disc, best suited for hard pack soil prone to unfavourable ground play. This disc eliminates skip but I have seen it roll away, and if it hits any branches it dies. Most people will ask if it's even PDGA approved just reply, "Why wouldn't be?" And keep throwing.

Great for Back Hand hyzer throws that stick like velcro!

This disc is for approach, not putt. I put this on a beautiful hyzer line for a deep putt. Bit deep into the chains and didn't bounce out, instead it dropped through the bottom of the basket because of its flexibility. The disc is fantastic for approaching and sticking, as advertised, but I don't think I'll be able to shoot for the moon (basket) and land among the stars if I miss, so to speak.

It feels and looks like a slightly faster pig in the hand. It absolutely hits the ground like a scoop of ice cream and stays there. Niche disc, but if you want something that won't roll away or skip, this is it.

Initial thoughts: I've never felt anything like this disc before. The flight plate is incredibly thin, and it's made of a really soft rubber. You can bend it in half, roll it up, etc. I have to say I'm very impressed with how durable this disc has been so far.
Flight characteristics: I find the flight numbers to be pretty much spot on. This thing fits somewhere between a zone and a buzzz. I get a consistent 210-220' in the air with a reliable fade and then... THIS is where the interceptor really does what it is designed to do. It stops. No skip, no roll, nothing. It's like if a zone and a pig and an ogopogo had a baby. I love this disc.

First, I want to say how much I loved the idea of this disc.  I'm a huge fan of flexible discs and I'm sad that there aren't more being made.  Let me start with the feel.  This disc is tremendously grippy.  The rubber feels fantastic.  Next, is the flexibility,  this disc is the most flexible disc I've ever thrown.  More flexible than a Gumbputt,  more flexible than a Woodchuck,  more flexible than any Classic Soft discs DD has ever released.  This disc has the flexibility of a already cooked Lasagna noodle (seriously).  If you hold this disc out for a backhand it will fold in on itself. Now the over flexibility makes this disc VERY difficult to throw backhand. You CAN NOT rip on this disc. It will go straight in the dirt if you do.  Literally, straight down fifty feet in front of you.  The disc will work with forehands tho.  I think it might have to do with getting some float under the disc.  I don't throw forehands over 250 and most if not all of my forehands are with mids and putters ( most of my up shots are forehand). I was able to get more distance out of it throwing it this way.  Now, the important question.  Is this disc worth and will it fit a slot?  For this answer I guess it depends on the slot.  If you are playing California hard pack, that everything rolls on.  Maybe this is a forehand approach disc.  Maybe, you jump putt with it to stick it close.  Will I bag this disc?  Maybe as a ultra utility disc.  Maybe, I will use for uphill forehand approaches.  There are a couple courses that approaches get troublesome.  Is it a good disc?  I feel with some tweaking and dare I say it, some stiffening of the rubber.  I feel, it could be a great disc.  There is nothing more exiting than ripping a floppy disc 250 and watching it die next to the basket.  I am looking forward to what Elevation comes out with next.  Hopefully, something that I can throw off the tee.

I’ve been bagging and throwing this since the early days of the first release. I’m mid 50’s and probably throw a Buzz or a Method 225-250 for reference. It is as over stable as a Method but FOR ME it flies 20-40 ft shorter. It has a tendency to get nose down easily probably due to the floppiness. Consequently I use it nothing like other mids. I use it much more like an approach disc and a hyzer putter. For these purposes FOR ME it excels. Inside of 150 I will throw down tempo flex or hyzer/spike hyzer. Outside of that I will not try a hard flat throw, but will throw a high flex with power on a sloped pin if the lie allows it. For putting I find a fan grip spin putt will too often grab and pull right RHBH with any power. It’s got a bit of a sharp rim edge, not underneath but kind of horizontally inside. A four finger grip hyzer putt usually gets a good result.

This disc is going to be unlike anything else you've thrown. It's incredibly floppy. It'll feel very strange on your first few throws, but it is something worth learning.

The amount of confidence this disc gives you after throwing it is amazing. If you throw a half way decent shot, you'll be putting. It allows you to run shots you could never do before.

Try it out if you ever get the chance. Worst case scenario, it'll be a very useful utility disc, but it might also end up being the most thrown disc in your bag.

I'm trying to figure out if I will throw this regularly for upshots and putts or just when there is a risk of a roll away.  It will certainly be in my bag as it is very useful and reliable to stay where it lands.  For putting, if you hit the chains, it is probably staying in the basket, even outside left chains.  It is very overstable and fades out very quickly for approach shots.  But putts straight for 20 and in.  Fun disc overall and definitely useful.

This disc definitely does what it says it does. I had issues getting it to fade which is probably user issue, I've been discovering that I don't put as much spin on discs as I should, in that way this disc really helped me! It will absolutely stop wherever the heck it lands.

I also learned that I'm a push putter and when we did a one disc challenge with it, it doesn't push putt well, or I'm garbage. Jury is still out on that. I could not get over how it just hit the ground and plopped there really eye opening for how your shots are going. The light weight top means the wind pushes it more than it's over stability would suggest on an angle, in fact on anhyzer it seems to just follow that line forever.

I was really surprised to see how well it rolled, though the wind was heavy today and it did pick it up a few times, overall Great to see new things, and give it a try if you want to see if you're not spinning the disc enough (no fade) or if you're relying too much on skip, or if you want to try for the basket but don't want it rolling a million feet away if you miss.

I love this thing. It's definitely a utility disc to some degree I may put with it but I live in an area where there's a lot of hills and very easy to get an unwanted roller. This thing sticks. Doesn't move at all and let's you set yourself up for a nice positioned putt. Absolutely recommend

I received this in the Blog Giveaway and was stoked! I took it out a few times to practice with it and it didn't take long for me to sign the potential of this one. I took it out to Oakridge Disc golf course and used it on the hill side hole they have and it flew out of my hand exactly the way I wanted it to with a decent glide and absolutely STUCK to the path no going down the hill like most plastic discs would have. I used it for approaches that I didn't want anything to skip and it worked beautifully! This disc does take getting used to as it feels entirely different than anything I've personally thrown but, get used to it as it will be in your bag if you do. This disc isn't a gimmick and quite useful. I would say the glide is less than a 4 and it fades quickly when thrown at any speed so I think the neutral rating is a bit off.

This disc is FLOPPY! Probably similar to Vibtam soft. Just very floppy!

    Speed 5

    Glid 2

    Turn 0

    Fade 3

This disc had very little glide. Maybe it's me, but it did not glide like normal midrange. I also noticed if I threw too hard without enough spin it would almost bunch up against the wind resistance and flop in the air and just fall out of flight. It did, however, stick where it landed.. very little ground play, if any.

overall, It's just not a disc  for me.
