The Interceptor is a stable to overstable approach mid. It's made out of a soft, durable rubber. It was designed to be the perfect approach & layup disc that will stick exactly where it lands! The Interceptor has more weight around the rim and a thinner flight plate, giving you great grip on a soft rubber disc. It has a small groove on the flight plate, creating the perfect grip for forehand or backhand throws.

Stability varies greatly from run to run as Elevation uses a variety of recylced materials.

    ecoFLOP Details

Elevation Disc Golf's ecoFLOP plastic is a vulcanized rubber blend, making it different from Elevation's previous silicone blends. ecoFLOP is made of 30% post-consumer tires, making it about one-third recycled material! The vulcanized nature of this rubber blend vastly improves the durability of the discs. ecoFLOP is very puncture resistant and should hold up very well over time.

The grip is fantastic on ecoFLOP, and the blend doesn't pick up dust and dirt as easily as Elevation's silicone plastics do. ecoFLOP is a little less flexible than Elevation's OG plastic. It is still floppy overall, but a little less than the original silicone rubber material.

TURBO PUTTER. I too was looking for a turbo putt disc and when I came across D Blaze review of this disc I had to buy one and try it out. This disc has improved my turbo putt tremendously. Turbos from sub 30 feet are like dialed in and have hit a few 40+ footers in the 2 weeks I have had it. Has a beautiful S-curve flight that is very reliable. If you are looking to try turbo putting highly suggest picking one of these up.

I'm on an epic mission, and I believe this is the disc that will help me see it through to the end.

My mission is to master the turbo putt.  I believe this is a severely underappreciated throw in disc golf, with the potential to provide more consistency than backhand putts in the 20-50' range, at least for many people.

In my opinion, the weakness of the turbo putt is in the grip.  It's very difficult to achieve a strong and consistent turbo grip with most plastics.  I often throw a Berg or Challenger turbo style, using K1 Soft (K2) or ESP FLX, because these flexible plastics seem to offer more grip than their counterparts.  The Berg also provides more surface area on the rim for your fingertips to grip the disc.

But the ecoFLOP Interceptor blows its competition out of the water.  My throws feel so strong and true to my intentions.  I throw turbos with a slight anhyzer angle, and this flies perfectly along that route with speed and ferocity.  The grip is unbelievable.  As a five-speed disc, it turbos much further than the one-speed Berg or three-speed Challenger.  The floppiness only helps with the grip and doesn't affect the flight, until it hits chains and drops.  The overstability allows one to throw full strength with full confidence and hold the slight anny line all the way to the basket, on putts up to 40'.  Beyond 40' I need to use the S-curve of the disc's flight, not just the anny.  Doing so, I've smashed a few turbos beyond 80' already, and will likely hit one from 100' before long.  But long distance turbo putts are just to test the limits.  This disc excels for turbos between 15 and 60 feet, if you throw relatively hard.

I bought three of these ecoFLOPs at 167g and fully expect to move up to MA1 from MA2 with this addition to my bag.  I've practiced a good deal with them and the results are amazing.  Like a baseball, the Interceptor goes exactly where you aim it.  I don't even need to try the other plastics/rubbers/silicons: this one is perfect.  I can't wait to use it in several tournaments this year.  I will probably buy 10 of these to train and accomplish my mission.
