For those that like to Witness how the pros throw, but don’t have the arm speed themselves to get a gliding S Curve, the Dynamic Discs Witness will be a great disc. This understable fairway driver is designed to be an ideal first disc for beginners that provides easy distance and stellar glide. The Witness will fly like a more understable Latitude 64 River. This disc is slightly faster and will exhibit more high speed turn, and less low speed fade. For experienced players, this driver will excel for controlled anhyzers, hyzerflips, and rollers.

A great hyzer flip/roller disc. In the Lucid plastic brand new it's a little less understable than the -3 turn. Closer to a -2 but after 20 or 30 rounds it beats in to that -3 turn and stays there for a looooong time. I've had mine for about five years and it still hasn't beat in to that stupid understable spot yet. So be sure to grab yours in the Lucid plastic.

The flippiest fairway I have ever thrown. Throwing it is really a riveting experience, though I must advise.... it is addictive.

I use it for roller that I can throw flat and have hit the ground early. Definitely good for rollers and high anhyzers. Out of the box it flies like a well seasoned roadrunner.

I was looking for a turnover disc for low power S flights, rollers, and high power turnovers -- all backhand. I tried the Gou, Diamond, Underworld, Termor, and many more.  Nothing I tried really fit the need and most were very inconsistent.  When I got around to trying the Witness I didn't expect much.  I bought both a Lucid and Fuzion to try and am still throwing the Lucid.  As expected the Fuzion is less stable than the Lucid.  Both will roll a nice S path.  The Lucid has a great exaggerated S flight and is great for weaving through trees. The Fuzion will turn in flight and never come back.   They are both useful for a variety of shots.

On a whim I tried the Witness forehand and was pleased to find it can stand up to the higher spin of a forehand and has a nice S path ending straight or a little to the turn side. depending on how much power and hyzer you give it.

The more I throw the Witness the more uses I find for it.  I can use it for great distance with a hyzer flip;  nice straight low power shot, or low or high power turnover.   Between all of that and a slight turnover forehand, this disc is getting a lot of time on the teepad.

This is a beginner friendly disc, slow speed with lots of glide.. however with some post behind it you should always hyzer it or it well flip over fast. If you snap it flat it well go under stable very fast and roll.

however I find myself still throwing this disc from time to time, seeing my forehand isn't that good, I use this disc instead.

I have a 174g Witness in Lucid plastic. I didn't like this disc at first but since I've been working on RHBH turnover shots, this has been my go to disc for that shot shape. For me, thrown low and flat it will turn into a roller, thrown high and flat it will turn to the right and flatten out before hitting the ground, and thrown low on a hyzer it will flip up and turn to the right. It's a touchy disc if you have power, but that's what you should expect with a disc this understable. The rim is very comfortable and I love the Lucid plastic. Great disc for beginners or those like me that needed a disc for turnovers.

This is one of the better disc for beginner players, not brand new players, but players that have played before and are starting to get their form down. It would actually probably work well for brand new people in light weight. This disc is flat, with a slim profile and a rounded edge. For a fairway driver, it goes pretty far, that is likely due to the massive amount of glide this disc has. This disc is incredibly understable for my power, I mean, it’s almost an instant roller. So the combination of the nice feel, lots of glide, and flippiness makes it an amazing beginner disc

I want to not like this disc.  It makes my ego bruised because I feel like it is a beginner disc.  If I want a sweet full flight line over stable drive off of a top of the world tee box, this is my disc.  I have gotten to where it is too flippy if I put a rip on it, but with moderation, it has a beautiful flight path that is a pleasure to "witness".  See what I did there, yeah. I lost a lucid witness the other day in the fall leaves and I immediately went home and got on Infinite for a new witness.

Bit of an interesting disc. Fairly slow with TONS of glide. The Witness glides better than most other drivers I've ever thrown. That said, its surprisingly long for such a slow disc. For me it plays a bit like a slower Mamba, but still gets most of the distance.

Its understable. A hard, flat throw will result in the Witness flipping over easily. Some hyzer is needed to keep it from flipping. Good for downwind or other shots where danger lurks to the left. Some finesse is needed to guide the Witness properly, but it isn't a super hard disc to learn and it doesn't take much arm speed to make it fly effectively. Seems like it'd be a good disc for beginners.

This thing beat in quickly.  I can only use it for hyzer flip to anny shots.  But for those shots, it's perfect.  I can release it on a really steep hyzer angle, and it will flip up flat for a ways, then always finish right.  I don't have the best forehand, so this shot works for me on quite a few holes.

Super flip city! The Witness it super understable; thrown flat it turns into a roller, even at 4,500 feet. Although I was throwing one that was beat in, somewhere around 170g. This disc is a lot of fun, but I can't find a whole lot of use for it with my arm speed. Some of the most understable control drivers I bag are the Hatchet and sometimes the Fury. These two discs are already very understable, and the Witness is next level flippy compared to them.

It can be a great roller disc, if you want the disc to stand up super quickly and finish right. For new players it could be a good fit, but I am an advocate of throwing more strait/neutral discs because I believe they teach better form. Starting with something too stable or understable could impart bad habits. So, as a beginner the understability could be appealing, but I think sticking with a lower speed disc would be the better option for beginners.

The Witness is a useful understable driver. It's good for long turnovers, hyzer flips, flex shots, tunnel shots, and even rollers. Being so understable, it's not good in the wind at all. Lower powered players will be able to get good S-curves out of lower or middle weights. Higher powered players will need max weights or it'll be too flippy.

The Witness can be a workhorse driver for beginners or a good utilty mold for seasoned veterans.

This disc is great to throw. it makes for an excellent anyhyzer line throw or you can really crank out the distance with a nice S curve. Also this disc is great for hyzer flips, it'll go nearly perfectly straight for a long distance. Overall one of my favorite discs that i carry and genearally very reliable except in any headwind.

For beginners great tp improve distance and accuracy. For anyone above its perfect for controlled anhyzer shots and when hyzer flipped it goes dead straight and LONG!!!! Was in my bag gor a long time but have since graduated to more stable disc. Bye the way dont throw it in the wind at all costs.

I have been playing for about 6 months now and have tried so many discs it's not funny. I have found with my slower arm speed that mosts discs hyzer over quickly on me. After a recommendation to try slower speed, under stable discs I finally came across the Witness. I ordered a Lucid plastic at 174g. I took it out of the box and immediately loved the way it felt in my hand. Took it to the course and was amazed at how it flew. With not much effort I could get a nice straight flight with a predictable finish or a slight S turn. I personally struggle with a flick shot so I have been trying to throw anhyzer shots to get those opposite dog legs. With a little finess I can get this disc to turn over on a nice anhyzer line when needed.

I would recommend this for newer players with slower arm speeds looking for something they can get control of.

I've been playing for around 9 months now, trying to find out what drivers work for me.  The Witness was picked up at a Dynamic Disc 2 disc challenge and has worked out great for me.

When I throw it the disc curves to the right, before fading a little to the left at the end.  Overall it ends very straight from where I threw and aimed it. It's become my main driver since I picked it up, which I wasn't expecting.  It throws like my champion leopard, without as much fade at the end.

It did take some time to get used to throwing it, and every once in a while I have a throw with it that is really, really, bad.  I'm hoping that stops happening soon!

Love this Disc right off the shelf I was throwing very controlled long drives. The Witness is responsive and consistant, behaves like a well trained dog. Feels great in your hand. Great disc for beginning players who are ready to drive with distance.

Have a witness in lucid plastic and just ordered one in fuzion. The disc is understable as advertised with great glide. I'm still learning how to really throw this disc on a nice sky anny line. Right now i think I'm turning my wrist before my release so it flips all the way over and rolls...i have thrown some really great shots with this disc just not consistently but that's not the discs fault. I'm hoping the fuzion plastic will be a little more understable it tends to be so maybe it'll help me throw a more consistent anny shot.

You have nailed this review to a T there sir! I've pretty much seen the same flight characteristics as you described in my use of the Witness. I also went for 170g in the Lucid plastic and as stated before the Lucid plastic is awesome. It has a very unique feel and performs well all around. As far as flight is concerned the disc is a titch to understable for me also. Most of my throws with it will turn hard with almost no fade or I'll flip the disc into the ground which rolls for days. For me it's a great utility disc when I need something to go right. It would be a great driver for any beginner and players that don't have as much arm speed.

Dynamic Discs isn't kidding with the -3 turn rating, the Witness is definitely understable. I was able to get the Witness to turn even on moderate power less than 300 feet throws that were released at a slight hyzer angle. My Witness is 170g in Lucid plastic, which is probably my most favorite plastic blend. It's durable, looks good, skips well, and has plenty of grip. I had one throw with the Witness that measured nearly 350 feet after a big S Curve, but most of my throws turned a little too much and had very little fade back. For my throwing style, this disc is a little too understable to be used for anything other than specialty turnover shots. Most of my understable discs are in softer grippier plastics, which I don't like for sidearm throws. I really liked the Lucid Witness for get out of trouble forehand shots that needed a gentle flick that needed to hold an anhyzer angle. Dynamic Discs has come out with another superb disc. This fairway driver will make a great first driver for new disc golfers. It's fast enough, and understable enough to provide excellent distance for the beginner.
