Meltdown plastic is an ulta-gummy premium blend. While the plastic is still long-lasting enough to survive the apocalypse, it is also very flexible with excellent grip. I got this in Meltdown. It feels good, though I have maybe only one other disc with a similar plastic (kind of like a G-blend plastic; maybe more rubbery), so it takes some getting used to. I think it looks pretty cool: The silvery gray color and pattern makes it look like swirled, molten lead. There is some flashing along the outer edge, but it doesn't really affect how it releases out of the hand. I tested this with several other high speed drivers, and was really pleased with how it flew and the distance I could get with it. To make a long story short, despite slight differences in listed turn/fade ratings I found that the Plague and its sibling the Famine were both very comparable to my Destroyer -- in terms of both flight shape and distance: I found myself picking them up in about the same spots together on the field time after time. Hard not to like discs that can keep up with Destroyers. Not being familar with this type of soft, gummy plastic, I hope it proves be durable.

Awesome disc when available. The flight path is exactly described in diagram provided. Good glide and very little roll at least for me.

I bought this disc as a whim of supporting small business. Pleasantly surprised with the performance of this disc. I have a few doomsday discs in my cart. drivers will give a roll at times.
For beginners, look at doomsday line of drivers, mids and putters

Got the prototype in Meltdown plastic along with the Famine.  Plastic was a bit gummy and very flexible.  Edges were quite sharp but nothing a little field work didn't fix.

I love the flight of this thing.  For me, as someone with a bit slower arm speed who usually averages around 300-325, this thing bombed.  Just rip it on a very slight hyzer and watched it flip up.  Flew a lot straighter than I would have expected.

I also found it fairly easy to turn over for long turning shots.  Definitely worth a try if that's something you're looking for.  Good beginner distance driver once you get the hang of flipping a disc up to flat.

Got the Prototype Alpha in Meltdown as a mystery disc. The rim is super thick, to the point I can pinch the outside of it between my thumb and forefinger and not contact the flight plate at all. The plastic is super bendy and feels good in the hand. I was a little worried about durability at first, but I've played a few rounds with it now and despite a few really solid hits it hasn't beat in much at all. I've found myself reaching for it on practically every tee. My drives are stupidly consistent with this disc.

This is going to be one of my go to drivers. Plastic feels nice and seems durable. Holds the lines you throw it on well. I have to agree with Coolins on the initial smell tho.

A very unique and versatile driver. Meltdown plastic is similar to Innova Gstar, but even more flexible. With a little practice and finesse, this disc can be used to shape ways you wouldn't normally expect from an overstable 12 speed. Recommended!

Softer than K1 soft or Gstar but it flies like the numbers and feels nice coming out of the hand. The metalic sheen makes these easy to find on the fairway despite the dark color. This disc bumped a Zeus out of my bag. There is a strong rubbery smell that I hope will go away.
