The Desolation, from Doomsday Discs, is an all-purpose, overstable midrange. It has a straight flight that finishes with a moderate, consistent fade. It has smoothed-rim edges and a semi-deep rim to make it very comfortable for throwing and a go-to for seasoned players. It is part of the Catastrophic Line, and made in the USA for high performance that will last to the end of the world (which may come sooner rather than later).

    Biohazard Details

Biohard plastic from Doomsday Discs is a mostly translucent premium blend with a lot of flexibility and good grip. It's a gummier option than most premium discs on the market, and it comes with the same dirty, splotchy look as Toxic Waste, having been through the cataclysmic production process of the apocalpyse.

A true workhorse mid, I use mine quite a bit every round. It has a very predictable flight and the Biohazard plastic is probably my favorite from the Doomsday brand. Throw it flat, watch it go a ways, and have a predictable fade. Put a bit of flex on it and it'll fight back for some nice shot shaping. Biohazard isn't the best plastic for forehand shots since it's pretty soft, you'll want to try one of the other plastics for that. Fatal is the stiffest, Toxic Waste is "Star plastic"-like, Rasioactive is smooth and with a great feel for both forehand and backhand.

The Biohazard plastic is kind of different: It's like a gummier, more flexible version of a Champion-type grade (my preferred plastic type), though it looks unique with its signature flecks/splotches -- and of course another rather cool Doomsday-themed stamp. It grips and flies well, though I noticed if I'm not precise in my release, the more flexible/floppy nature of the plastic could make the disc wobble a little weirdly at the outset and make its flight a tad understable versus its normal overstable character. Overall it's a good disc, looks cool, and behaves as the flight numbers would indicate, though not quite enough to knock my other 5|5|0|2 mid out of my bag -- except I think in colder weather, where I believe the more flexible, gummy biohazard plastic would give better grip and handle any hard hits better.

I was surprised by how much I enjoyed throwing this mold in biohazard. Great glide with a predictable finish. I also noticed the desolation fits nice in my hand I am getting consistent releases with the gummy nature of Doomsday's biohazard plastic.
