Lawin means "Eagle" and this high speed driver is designed to help recreational disc golfers soar past the 300 foot distance barrier. The Lawin can achieve a full S-Curve flight path with moderate power. If the Basilisk becomes too flippy, then the Lawin is the next disc to add to the bag. With its domey profile it also provides excellent glide to carry a few extra feet at the end of its flight.

My Flight Ratings: 12/5/-2/2 Not Beginner Friendly Throwing Distance: N/A Straight Score: N/A

Overall this disc works very well for me: I can usually get straight or s-curve flights out of it for great distance. For my arm speed, I don't think it's quite as understable as a -3 turn, except maybe into the wind. Stronger arms, though, will probably find it too understable, while the speed 12 will probably be too much for beginners. I have found that its sibling the Basilisk has worked really well for beginners or players like my wife who don't have a lot of power to their throws. The Max Grip plastic on this and a couple other X-outs seems harder and more brittle than the actual Max Grip discs I've gotten more recently, which is too bad. I like the true Max Grip as it feels better and seems to have a bit more give. Watching my X-out versions hit the ground has given me concern about their durability. But other than worries about the longevity of the plastic, the disc model itself seems to be good. I actually had some other players (strangers) ask me what it was I was throwing when they saw the flight and distance I got with it.
