The Golem is an overstable putt & approach disc. It has a flat top and a comfortable grip for both backhand and forehand throws. As an overstable putter it will provide a straight flight with no turn and a consistent fade. The Golem can also handle most windy conditions without drastically changing its flight path. It is released in unique Stayput silicone rubber so that it avoids most skips and slides once it lands, plus the material provides a very good grip.

I loved it. Then it hit a tree and exploded. Any hard rock hit will take a chunk out of the rubber. You could rip these and any of the other discs in stay put plastic in half with your hands

This disc is very fun for those ridiculous hyzer shots, I love putting this thing over trees, bushes, anything and it just sticks. I can't putt with it as well anymore. Would recommend for those looking for an approach disc that needs to avoid obstacles. It does have a tendency to bounce if you really hit it hard enough on the thickest part of the rim, but largely just sits.

The silicon provides a unique feel for this super beefy approach disc, and the StayPut plastic offers a unique range of shots, so I loved this disc initially.  The glow is also extremely bright.  The problem is durability.  I've broken three from hitting trees, and two of those trees were merely tapped.  The material simply doesn't work for real disc golf.  It almost works, but no, this isn't ready for the market.

This disc has a lot of great flop and when it falls flat it stays put. That being said, it has a small tendency to roll in my experience. Otherwise the numbers are accurate and it is a lot of fun to throw.

This is a gummy disc! It really does like to hit the dirt/grass/mud/concrete/etc and stay put. This disc is super flat and flies similar to a zone/Harp/Ruin. The plastic is extremely soft and gummy. It has great grip.

Personally, I do not enjoy the flimsy type of plastic. I find that with more powerful shots the rim of the disc tends to fold outwards of the flight plate and I have to spend a few extra shots each round to adjust my timing for this disc. I feel that this plastic/rubber blend would make for a great over-mold, but not so much for the full disc to be made from it.

I think it can be a great disc for anyone who enjoys throwing this type of plastic. it has a nice over stable flight path that is predictable and it does not like to skip.

Loved this disc until I hit a tree and it split. I'd only recommend throwing this on open shots without any obstacles. The rigidity of the rubber is its downfall unfortunately. I'd recommend the Interceptor by Elevation Discs which is much more flexible and absorbent of high impacts.

I throw a Tactic, not Zones, but as others have said, shape is like a slightly shallower Tactic, Harp, Zone, but beefier, lower glide. It won't replace those discs perhaps, but will definitely compliment them.

I want it to replace my Interceptor, but it's stiffness profile makes it very different in two ways. Pro: this has become my inside the circle headwind putter. The extra rim rigidity, overstable flight and low glide instill confidence to slam it flat dead center. Con: run a longer putt or approach and get metal, it will likely bounce off in a vicious roll away. In this instance the Interceptor is a much better choice, it just drops. But with any power the Interceptor needs to be on hyzer to avoid getting nose down. The Golem loves hard flat and hard anny throws. Only a Stego comes back harder.

Side note, with the new "taco" putt rule, an Interceptor is much more likely to squeeze into the basket, a Golem's gonna bounce unless thrown full power.

I love this disc.  For years i've been thinking, "What if someone made a more overstable zone in a soft plastic?"  Hahaha, well Divergent did it.  This disc is so stable it's almost like 2 zones glued together.  The plastic typically stays within feet of where it lands bc it's so grippy.  Highly recommend this disc!

My approach game changed forever when I was introduced to the Dynamic Discs Justice. The ridiculously overstable consistency of that disc just made my approaches that much more consistent and accurate.

The Divergent Discs Golem has taken my approach consistency to another level. Compared with the Justice, the Golem has even less Glide, goes less distance, and might even be more overstable. You are far less likely to overshoot the target with the Golem, and when it lands it just sticks. It rarely moves more than about 5 feet from where it makes contact with the ground. The Lucid Justice on the other hand sometimes spikes and drops, but often skips and rolls making the luck element of ground play much more random with the Justice compared with the more consistent Golem.

For any hyzer approach shot within about 180 feet, I'm reaching for the Golem. I love this disc for both forehand and backhand aproach shots. Throw it on a hyzer and it just slowly drifts in the natural direction for a bit and then spikes almost vertical directly to the ground.

While the Shape of the Golem looks more like a Discraft Zone, it is far more overstable than any Zone I've ever seen. This disc is one of the lowest distance discs out there. It does not go far.

While the Golem is soft and absorbs the ground on each hit, it is firm enough that I am confident throwing it both backhand and forehand. The same cannot be said for me about the Elevation Interceptor, which is just too floppy for me to release consistently. If considering between the Interceptor and Golem, my recommendation is definitely the Golem.

Divergent Discs hit a homerun with the design of the Golem. If you want to approve your approach game and minimize those long tester putts, invest in a Golem or two. This disc will improve your game and shave strokes off your score.

Flies like a slower Zone, sort of.  If you throw it low and hard, it's very similar to the Zone.  If you give it any height at all and it stalls out, it doesn't fade, but rather heads steeply to the ground. When it does this, it sticks hard and barely moves.  If you are going to throw it low and try to get a traditional fade, I don't see the use of this disc, just use an overstable approach.  If you are looking for a hard stick, give it a little height, let it dive, and it will give you what you want.  My only complaint is that the rim has a fairly sharp edge.  If they would round off this edge just slightly, it would be much more comfortable to throw.  Fun factor for this disc is extremely high.

This is basically a marriage between a Zone and a Blowfly. Very overstable out of the box and super floppy feeling. Pretty fun to mess around with! Great for hitting the ground and sticking.

This is basically, in feel and flight, a zone with less glide. The deeper rim makes it not quite as floppy as the other stayput stuff. Its still floppy, but it feels good. It hits the ground and dies right away.

This is great for those times you have to throw an approach into a hill, or cant afford a skip into the woods near the basket.

I highly recommend picking one of these up when you can. It's probably not going to be your go to approach disc, but when you need it, it will do everything you ask it to do and more.
