The Alpas, by Divergent Discs, is a very unique putt and approach disc made in flexible silicone rubber material that Divergent calls StayPut. The disc will more successfully "stay put" when it hits the ground, reducing unfortunate skips and slides. It can be used as an understable approach disc to get through tight fairways without needing to throw hard. Or, it can be used as a putter for players who like a shallow rim and a flat disc profile. It is a great choice as an all-around starter disc for new players, as well as a specialty disc for experienced players.

I have had this disc in my bag for over a year now. I mainly use it as an approach disc to get around trees even though it is rated as an understable disc for me it flies more overstable because I'm usually throwing it on a hyser. As far as the disc material the disc has held up well has not fallen apart. I like the material because it sticks like my gum put.

For starters, the graphics on these are awesome. I got a cotton candy colored one with beautiful swirls. It is a very low profile disc. The rim is very rounded too. It reminds me of a discraft roach, but even lower profile and a bit faster. For putts and approaches, it flew quite overstable, about as much as a zone, harp, or Toro. When I threw drives with it though it flipped much more, and had moderate glide. It is a bit fast for me for putting but for approaches and short drives it is definitely useful
