Great max distance disc for me in perfect conditions. The amount of high-speed turn on this disc provides little to no forgiveness for bad releases. With that said I can get about 250' worth of distance out of this disc before it even flips to flat, another 100' while turning, and if I catch it just right another 50+ feet while it fades out.
The only drawback to this disc for me is its lack of reliability. I am unable to trust it on a forehand because it's liable to keep turning and not come back, which is why some pros use this for rollers. I, however, haven't been able to get a repeatable roller on this disc, even when I throw a great roller with the thrasher it doesn't go as far as my turnover shot, and the roller is highly unpredictable, low percentage play for me.
I could see this disc being great for someone who's currently maxing out at about 300' and looking to work on flexing the disc more for that extra 50' or so.

Great disc if you're new to the sport. This is one of the first discs that i bought and loved it. As my arm speed increased, i started having a hard time with turning over this disc...which makes sense. Now that I have more control i often find myself throwing this on long turnover shots where i don't want to see much fade or long uphill shots. Solid disc, although i don't think there's anything special about it to warrant 5 stars, nor does the disc/plastic feel particularly good in the head.

The BigZ Thrasher is my go to roller disc for long backhand rollers. It also fits the bill for hyzer flips into a right turn (rhbh). The Thrasher is similar to the Hades but has a more pronounced turnover shape at high speed. It is understable enough to be an excellent distance driver for beginners/lower arm speeds. In BigZ plastic, the disc is also extremely durable and can take beating after beating while maintaining its flight characteristics. If you are looking for a reliable high speed roller disc, an understable turnover driver, or you are a beginner gaining experience and distance with an understable disc, the Thrasher needs to be in your bag!

I just happened to find this disc one day. I am so happy that I did too!!! It has been a great addition to my bag and has been amazing when looking down the green at several trees that I have to go around. What a great disc!!

The only disc that I can throw 400+ consistently. This things flight path is so pretty, people always ask me what it is and alot of people haven't even heard of it. I guess its only downfall is that i accidentally roll it sometimes and it likes to fly high on me but I'm chalking that up to user error.

This thing loves to go far. Give it some room to flex and it will eat up some serious distance!

This is my main driver, I like to throw it with some hyzer and it'll stand right up with a good amount of turn, tons of glide and a super slow fade. Definitely gotta watch out for headwinds with this disc, any headwind at all and it will not come out of its turn, not quite flippy enough to turn into a roller in most cases but I don't have a huge arm, usually my good drives end up in the 300-350' range. All said and done I love my thrasher. Great understable driver. Still wouldn't reccomend it for beginners, in my opinion you shouldn't be throwing anything over a 10 speed until you can get out to at least 250' consistently.

What a fantastic driver! Not a whole lot of hype here, but the Thrasher performs exceptionally well for a speed 11-12 disc. Its very domey and glides better than probably any other disc in its speed class. That said, its also surprisingly long. 450' was being touched regularly with the Thrasher and it was sailing as far consistently as faster drivers.

I guess I'd compare the Thrasher to a Wraith or Surge, but the Thrasher glides better than both of them and I get far better distance with it. It has some high speed turn, but with a slight hyzer release the disc will pop up straight and cruise a long, long way.

I'd highly recommend the Thrasher to anyone who likes Surges or Nukes and wants another great Discraft driver in the bag.

Thrasher, Big Z, 174g. I have an average arm and primarily throw bh. This season, I decided to try some Discraft products, and the Thrasher is a very nice disc. I began with a Crank in Big Z, and a Crank SS in Titanium. I liked them both, but there was a vast chasm in performance between the two regarding hss. My Thrasher sits nicely between the two, and is not as understable as advertised here. A flat release produces a very straight flight with a firm fade. Also, it holds an anhyzer line very well.

I've played a number of rounds with my Big Z Thrasher (169g) and I have to say that I do really like this disc. It's my go to driver for down wind shots, open shots and even some tunnel shots. If you have the power and let it go with a little hyzer it will stand up nicely for you and glide for what seems like forever with a moderate fade at the end. If you release it a little flatter you'll get a nice S-curve flight for optimal distance, but this does take up quite a bit of space. This is not a very good wind fighter however. I have found that it can turn and burn if thrown hard into even some lighter head-winds. I would say if you have the power to get to at least the 200' mark regularly you'll be able to successfully throw the Thrasher (and it might even be good into a head-wind with that power). Might get away with it being a wind fighter with slower arm speeds too.

My first round using the Big Z Thrasher about 165 g I parked four holes for birdies, then aced the fifth throw.  I highly recommend this disc (obviously).  It has decent speed that is controllable, starts out slightly understable, then comes back slightly stable, a nice, tight S curve.  I found it extremely accurate.

I prefer Big Z plastic.  I had the Z version and I didn't throw that one as accurately.  One of my throws ended up in a lake, so I got the Big Z version instead.  It's probably not the best driver for very windy days, but in slight wind or calm conditions this may be one of the straightest drivers you'll ever throw.

"Underwhelming!" as of so far. I really was excited to try these because I'm not a big arm. I guess I thought they would do something magical no disc has ever done, but in the end the plastic was a little too slick and my expectations were crushed. I'm a Discraft fanboy, so I'm saddened these discs didn't do much more than slow turnovers with roughly 300 feet of distance. It was probably just my inability to get them up to speed so they could really shine : ( . I would say the Thrasher is similar to a Beast or Sidewinder by Innova.

I was throwing 167 and 173 gram discs.

This is a great first distance dirver for any new player looking to add more distance fast! For me this disc is a little to understable but the amount of glide on this disc is unbelievable. Great disc for new players looking to add more distance to there throw and for advanced players if you have a slow arm speed will fit perfect for max distance but big arms players wont like it to much.

Acquired this disc in the Ledgestone players pack. Threw it a couple times and instantly fell in love. I average 400-450 with distance drives. This disc thrown on a hyzer flip shot plays a nice flex. I can throw these consistently 475-500 with no wind. Would be a great disc for average arms to play a nice straight shot with a hyzer finish. I bought a couple more of these and is now a staple in my bag for max controlled distance shots.
