Z Swirl Details

Z Swirl plastic is a swirly version of Discraft's Z plastic. It's often used with Ledgestone Edition discs. Z-Line is Discraft's most durable plastic blend. This is a hard translucent plastic that is available in vibrant colors. Discraft claims that this plastic is the choice of pros under normal conditions for slow seasoning.

The comfort/hand feel of any disc is subjective and user dependent. For me the Stratus checks all the boxes for an understable mid range disc. It has a shallow profile that works well for my hand size, it hyzer flips and also turns over like a dream and most importantly I trust myself throwing this disc. It’s an old school mold so the feel might not be for everyone, but it absolutely works for me and I always have a stratus in the bag.

The newer premium runs of the stratus seemed like a gamble, but it paid off big time. This Z swirl run flies just like my most trusted Elite X Stratus from the early 2000’s.
