This disc is excellent for big distance. If you put it on any sort of hyzer or anny, it will let you know and will be about 250 feet before it flattens out. I have a very light 154 gr Hades, and it is a disc I pull out of my bag when distance is more important than accuracy.

The prototype driver of the Hades along with the Paul McBeth Series are my main max drivers, Great for roller shots, along with good form this disc does wonders for max distance, I could reach up to 400 ft with less power than I used to do. The Hades is definitely in the bag for sure

Great disc. My main max distance driver. Great for hyzer flips. Does really well for lazer-straight sidearm hyzer-flips for long tunnel shots, with minimal fade. Turn is accurate, it has to be thrown with a fair amount of power, and it will flip up, cruise straight maybe a little left to right turn before it slightly fades.

I might not have the arm speed to use this to its full potential (maybe the 175g affects that, too), but for others like me who might use this disk, this info may be more applicable: For me this has always been more stable than the numbers indicate, with a bit less glide, too. I have pulled it out as a replacement for other drivers because it was a little heavier and would handle the wind better. Normally a disc with -3 turn wouldn't be a good one for throwing into the wind (unless you want a roller), but for me, this has been a good disc for throwing long & straight into the wind. My son has used this as his favorite forehand disc and has gotten rather amazing distance with it -- probably as far as any of his backhands (or mine). The plastic feels good and has shown to be durable.

The Hades is a neutral flying distance driver that would be a great starting point for players just getting into higher speed discs. It glides well, but is not so glidey that I would give it a 6. It turns out of the hand and eventually straightens out and finishes towards center. This disc flies a long way for me and I like to use it to shape shots both forehand and backhand. One of my favorite shots to throw with it is a distance hyzerflip forehand.

This is a great disc for any skill level really. I got my father-in-law into disc golf recently and he throws the Hades I got him very well. Good distance with little effort. I will say this disc is much more enjoyable if you have a stronger arm.. if you do, you can absolute crush it!

This disc bombs! The glide on this disc is next level compared to some of the other distance drivers I throw. I usually tend to lean towards Shryke's, Sheriff's, and Destroyers but this one just keeps flying. It is a bit under stable early so you definitely have to account for that on more narrow holes. If you like just open bombing, this can be a great disc for that! I've used it on some courses with shorter trees where you can just throw above them etc...

Very overstable for me. It's 174g but I have a 174g Zeus that i can consistently get 380 and a nice flip on. The Hades has almost no flip and fades hard. It'll go straight for about 300 and glide very well the whole way. I must have gotten a bad run or something idk.

I bag 3 of these bad boys. Love the feel, love the flight. One of the greatest discs Discraft has ever churned out in my opinion. 6 glide is no lie either. You can straight bomb the hades max distance no problem. Not recommended for fierce headwinds without A LOT of hyzer unless you are throwing a roller. The Hades can stand up to all kinds of shots. Soft gliding hyzers, flip to flat, full S curve, turnovers, even hyzer bombs once you learn them. Nothing is out of reach. 5 stars is almost too low of a rating for this amazing disc.

If a beginner is looking for their first high speed distance driver - then this is the disc for you. When I finally got up the arms speed and control for a speed 12 I loved the Hades. It would turn right and then fade gently back left and I was able to get my max distance. However, either this disc beats in really quickly or I just got to strong for it. Either way, it now flips over way to quickly, even when I release it on a big hyzer angle.

Great for beginners, but it can quickly be grown out of.

So I've now had two of these discs, and by the numbers along with other similar discraft discs that I throw this should to could be pretty good for me. Neither disc I've had now of the Hades did anything even remotely close to the numbers. All of them just dove right out of the sky for me. Zero inclination to flip.

    Discraft Discs for Comparison:
ESP Nuke SS (13/5-3/3) - I can flip this up and it's a higher speed disc than the Hades with the same turn rating of -3.

Discraft Scorch (11/6/-2/2)- I can reliably flip this up and over and cover significant distance. 1 less speed rating, 1 less turn rating.

Discraft Nuke (13/5/-1/3) or Zeus (12/5/-1/3). Both of these discs fly similar to me, straight, zero flip unless a headwind for me, reliably fade left. Hades has less inclination to stay going and not fade out early compared to these.

Unless I got two back to back cruddy Hades in a run, this discs just isn't doing what it's supposed to. I rated the disc based on my experience with it compared to the other discs but... I'm just not sure it's doing what it's advertised to do unless you've got Paul McBeth's arm. Definitely number out of place compared to the rest of the Discraft lineup.

Great disc - only a few get 5 stars and this one is a 4.5 in my books.

Feeling - ESP is below star in terms of quality and feeling, but breaks in to be less slick.  The rim feels like a 12 speed and not too much different than a wraith/destroyer. Slight pop top but that's how it glides.

Flight - The Hades is a great disc for beginners as it will turn a little and the fade isn't pronounced enough to take away distance.  However, when you hit speed or throw into a headwind the disc is a little wild.  Without hyzer-flipping it will turn for most of its flight before having a small catch at the end.

Flight # - are pretty spot on but, with all 6 glides, it seems more like marketing than reality.  Does it glide farther than an avg disc, Yes, but you mostly notice it when the wind takes it way off your line.

I love how flat this disc is for forehands! I was hoping it would become my main forehand driver, but unfortunately, that just isn't going to happen. It has the same problem I have with almost all Discraft discs in that their plastic just doesn't "feel" as good as other companies. The fuzion by DD just feels better and more grippy than the ESP does. I don't know what it is, but it just feels inferior. Needless to say, I know many people who bag this disc and love it, but after giving it a good try for a few weeks, it went right back in my box of discs I don't bag.

I have a Signature ESP Hades in 173 grams.

This disc has an INSANE glide. It is one of my favorite discs to through. It is flat and very comfortable for backhand and forehand. Right off the shelf, it was perfect for incredibly long hyzer-flips because of the understability and incredible glide. If you throw it flat it will finish right, and if you release it on an anhyzer angle, it will hold that line for a long time and fade slightly to the left (RHBH). It is also great for forehand flex shots. This disc is a must-have for all skill levels.

The Hades is such a useful disc for most everyone in disc golf.  The average disc golfer will gain distance with their Hades and the more advanced players will gain even more distance by controlling the angle at which it is thrown.  A great understable disc that gives a consistent flight in the fairway, especially on your longer bomber holes.  Once this disc beats in, you will find that it is a great disc for that reliable understable finish.

    166gram Mcbeth Signature Hades

Mine is fairly beat in and I throw this disc almost exclusively forehand. I love the feel in my hand. The biggest thing for me is it is very glidey to me, and it is a disc that I can just get up and out in the air and let it do its thing. I love how this disc can handle a forehand  throw from me without becoming too under stable. I feel that I always get a little extra distance out of this disc compared to my other discs. In the wind it can get into a little trouble and get carried away. As for the speed rating on this, I think once its beat in that the under stability will help slower arm speeds to be able to still throw it and have decent success.

This disc originally was my wife's disc and she had decent success with it, but it ended up loosing its place in her bag. During a practice round for an upcoming doubles tournament we were on a hole that the only way for me to park the shot was a very touchy 350' forehand flex shot. After throwing one of my discs and being unsuccessful, I grabbed the Hades that I had stuck in as a few extra discs to test out. I was able to hit my line perfectly and ever since the disc has stayed in my bag.

    Disc - 173 ESP Hades

Feel - The hades has a great feel in the hand and the one I have is very domey which I have heard is rare. I am not sure exactly how the flatter ones feel but the domey one is very glidely and not too understable that it is unthrowable for those with decent arm speed.

Flight - The hades is a great understable distance driver. Although I think that there are better options on the market, the shryke is the best in this category in my opinion, but if you want to throw a great looking disc that came out recently the hades is a great option but I would say this disc you want to feel before you buy to find one with dome because I have heard those have more stability and better glide.

Overall - Good understable distance driver but try to find a domey one for best results.

I have loved the ESP Hades for the few months that I have had it, but I learned quickly to ignore the flight numbers as well as the pro's reviews. The rim is very comfortable in my hand, but a lot more stable than I thought it'd be. I would recommend this to an AM player who thinks they can throw Destroyer's or Zeus's, but I wound not recommend this to a new player to the game.

175g PM ESP- Good solid disc. For max distance BH, doesn't always fade back but to me that is nice and can be consistent. Love for max distance FH, hyzer release gives it the ability to stand up turn and fade nice. Great glide. Slower arm players can learn a lot with it and give the ability to learn angle control. Not super angle sensitive but still good to learn.

The hades is an incredible and forgiving disc. It is very true to its numbers because it will definitely turn, but still has enough fade to finish back to the left on a RHBH. This is a great disc for easy distance and long turnovers that finish flat. All three hades that I have thrown have been very consistent in flight. Also, the hades excels at tailwind drives with its great glide.

Great disc once you learn how to throw it. Throws far with a lot of glide even for beginners when thrown with a little anhyzer to keep it from crashing left. Once you get the hang of it throwing with a little hyzer, then the disc will soar and get your reaching for max distance.

This review is for a STOCK RUN McBeth ESP Hades.

The Hades is my go-to distance driver in pretty much any situation except massive headwinds. I do not believe the Hades is as understable as the flight number suggest. The 2 stock runs that I got are more stable than I would have anticipated. When thrown on a decent hyzer this disc will not flip up, it will continue on the hyzer line and fade like any overstable disc. Now I love this disc because of what I can do with it on a baby hyzer and flat. When thrown on a baby hyzer it will flip and glide for days to an average of 375ft (max 400ft) and is very controllable. When throw flat it will flip up and get a nice turn to it which allows it to get a full s curve flight to it. Throwing it on anhyzer will result in a roller or a nice long turnover shot. I can even throw it into a headwind and it will not completely turnover unless it's a massive headwind. This disc separates itself from others because of the massive glide and easy control. I do not throw forehand as much as I used to but when I did I could hyzer flip it nicely past 300ft. This is certainly not a disc you can throw flat or on anhyzer with a lot of power. If you are looking to learn proper forehand form then maybe check this disc out. Overall the Hades is the perfect disc for any player looking to get more and more distance as you continue to learn proper form before you can move onto those 400ft hyzer shots.

I don't really like how this disc is. its just that understability is not enough for me this disc is not fast enough to fly 400ft when I threw it the first time it went an anhyzer angle for about 4 sec. and then fades quickly to hit the ground so that is why I don't like this disc

My ESP Hades weighed in at 170g. The Tern is one of my favorite discs. This Hades flew different for me.

I would rate the turn at a -2 and a 3 fade out of the box. With wear, I expect that to flip flop.

Great addition to the Discraft line up.

i would recommend this to intermediate to advanced players. Should wear for a long long time.

This disc is great for people that don't have very much arm speed. This is my max distance driver. I only ever use this on hyzer flip shots in places where I don't need much control because it will flip over if not thrown on the right angle. I can get this disc out 400-420 ft. When thrown flat it will just hook right and pretty much turn into a roller. I never forhand this disc. If its even a little bit windy this disc won't be getting thrown. This  disc will very from disc to disc I bought two hades the same weight and one was alot flipper then the othere one. I have seen newer players throw this disc in 160 gram throw this disc and they get the full s flight out of it and still fading out. In the hand it feels similar to a dd3, emperor it doesn't have a huge rim not really deep. Its a really good disc for intermediate level players.

Do yourself a favor and track down a hades with some decent dome to it. I've thrown flatter topped ones and they are a touch too understable for faster arm speeds. Domey ones are some of the most workable max distance drivers out there.

    ESP Hades 172g.

I am still getting consistency down so haven't been putting the 85-100% power into my throws with this disc but that hasn't stopped it from having some beautiful flights. It's a pretty darn flippy disk so you have to put some good hyzer on it but once it flips up it keeps a pretty good line. I have yet to see it really fade back all that much but that probably has to do with my lack of arm speed more than anything. This disc feels great for pushing yourself to go that extra distance and as long as you are controlled it will go.

Obviously I would recommend a lower speed disc if you are still really at that beginner stage but I have no regrets investing in this disc despite being relatively new to the sport.

The Hades is my first foray into Discraft's Paul McBeth line of signature discs, and I am a big fan. The ESP plastic has a really nice feel in the hand. The Hades is just a fun disc to watch fly, it does not take a lot of power to access the turn in the disc and see the beautiful s-shaped flight soaring down the fairway. I love throwing this disc with hyzer and having it flip up to flat and let glide in the disc take over.

I have found the disc to be a little touchy in terms of dialing in the optimal about of power and angle to put on the disc to keep it from completely turning over and never coming back and/or cut rolling. I have to remind myself on the tee to keep it slow and smooth. Although, I think eventually this will be a really nice roller disc as I keep working at it.

The Hades is an awesome disc if you are looking to get into the higher speed driver game, but feel like your arm speed isn't quite ready for the overstability of a Zeus or Destroyer.

    ESP Hades 173g:

The Hades is the first disc I threw and was like 'Wow, that disc got small'. I was able to get serious distance by putting it on a bit of hyzer throwing it nice and smooth. It is very understable and will turn and burn on you if you throw it flat or have too much hyzer, but will bomb to the right or hold a turnover if thrown properly. Just a fun flight to watch and the ESP plastic feels really nice with a little tack to it.

One of my friends has this disc and from what I've experienced from my limited amount of throwing it and watching him use it this is an amazing disc. It feels really smooth coming out of the hand and I feel it is best when releasing it on a slight hyzer. My best disc comparison would be it is a flippier Zeus. I think this is definitely more of an intermediate arm speed required disc, and if you are and intermediate arm speed this has great distance potential for you. It has amazing glide and if need be is a pretty good roller disc.

Great Distance driver for intermediate arms - if your Destroyer/Zeus is too stable to get the full distance out of, I highly suggest picking up a Hades.

They are flippy enough to release on hyzer and either flip to flat or drift over right, and they have enough fade to come back towards the end. Huge distance potential, as it has amazing glide. Bigger arms may find it good for rollers or super long turn overs.

This is a really enjoyable disc to use. It's a little flipper than my star destroyer and really glides. One of the few discs that I can get a full flex out of as a new player still getting used to the higher speed discs. Works really well when the basket is guarded by a big tree and you need to go around and fade reliably left (on a RHBH throw). I wouldn't recommend this disc until you are comfortable throwing about 250 to 300 feet with a slower speed.

The Hades is a great driver that can be utilized for a variety of different shots. Fresh out of the box, I think the Hades flies very true to its flight numbers. It is very under stable if you have the arm speed for it. If you throw it flat and give it enough height it will turn for a good portion of its flight and fade right at the end. It is a good high speed roller disc and doesn't need to be broken in too much to get good roller distance. I use the Hades for my max distance shots by throwing it with a lot of hyzer, letting it flip to flat, turn a little, and then fade just a little. If there is wind, it can be a little unpredictable and if you have really high arm speed you will need to be able to control your angles really well to get the most out of this disc.

I have used two of the 172g versions of this disc and have enough throws to say that it seriously flies forever if you give it some speed, enough snap and the right release angle. This is a very versatile disc and feels great forehand or backhand (which I mainly throw) and also for tomahawks. The only caveat is that it will break in rather quickly and becomes more under stable and will require a bit of finesse and dialing in release angle verses power and snap to really get it to go where you want. Lately I have been way over throwing it when I put too much snap and the Hades will flip up till flat, fade right a bit and then just glide forever. On the flip side especially when I'm just starting a round and still warming up, and trying to not throw really far, I won't quite give enough snap and then the disc will act more over stable and take an arcing left line. Great when I mean to do it but still plenty of dialing in to master. With all that said, I highly recommend the Hades if you like throwing under stable discs. It feels great in the hand and with some practice can be used in almost any situation.

I love the Hades. It was the first long distance driver I can get to flip up and ride straight. It's the perfect mix of understable and glide. I don't think the -3 turn is correct though. It's more like -2. It's very straight flying and great for a player in their second season or beyond.

Great disc for players that are moving up into a distance driver for the first time especially in the lighter weights. Flies under stable right out of the box and really earns that 6 glide rating. I've seen a lot of players with lower arm speeds hit their personal best with this disc and it doesn't surprise me. Definitely worth the price.

I love this disc. I've had it for a while now and have probably 250 ish field throws with it and I don't really get the same flashing that I use to get when I first bought it. This is the first (and currently the only) disc I've got over 400ft with (several times), just seems to go further than everything else, regardless of speed.

I do find that I really need to make sure I release it correctly so it doesn't burn, due to it being US it'll definitely dive if you don't release it flat or slight hyzer, but if so.. I think it would probably be the furthest flying disc in almost all bags, I've got so many other drivers with 100+ throws and can't get the same distance on any of them.

This is such an awesome disc.  The glide it has when you get a good pull on it is unlike almost any disc ive thrown. If i really rip on this disc on a flat release, it will almost go into a roller, so it is pretty flippy at high speed, but if you can learn to control it, you can get it insanely far. I think lower arm speeds would love this in a lighter weight plastiic, faster throwers should stick to max weight.

I love this disc. Personally I love it for those long straight fairways where I can let this get a full flight. I used this disc when I first learned how to do a hyzer flip and it definitely does the job. This feels more like a control driver to me in the sense I can use this for a little more touch shots and bend it around trees or turn over on right finishing holes. It's a good disc for a beginner as long as they have the arm speed to back it up cause just like with any high speed disc if you throw it slow it will just hyzer out. My only criticism is the distance potential. It seems like no matter what I do to the angle or how hard I rip it I have a tough time going much past 400. Other drivers I have no problem pushing 400 or even 450 but it just seems like this guy won't push the same as other big arm distance drivers. That being said I don't use it for distance usually so I don't have a problem with that and it works perfectly for S-curves and right finishing holes. Overall I enjoy this disc and it will have a home in my bag for a long time to come.

If you have at least 300" drives, this disc can buy you some extra distance. I throw around 350' and I can get a nice flex line out of this. Thrown on a slight Hyzer it flips up flat, carries for around 300' before a slight fading finish. This Disc has a lot of glide.

I have a pretty sad forehand, but this is one of the Disc I can actually get good distance out of.

This disc is pretty much Discraft's version of the Innova Tern.

Considering I don't drive very far, this disc most certainly helps me push that 400' boundary. I absolutely love esp plastic because it feels great in my hands and the Hades has a very comfortable mold. The rim isn't too deep nor too wide. I will note though, for people (like myself) who throw a consistent 350', if you want it to flip over, you will need more power on it. I have enjoyed the distance i get out of it and I would recommend this to anyone looking for long straight or turnover drives.

I hate going against the grain on this with a 3 star review but I just do not understand this disc for anything other than very long anhyzer shots. I probably max out at only about 450 feet for my drives and I have to put 7 o clock hyzer on this disc to gave it even think about flying farther than 150 feet before crashing into the ground. This disc is either much more understable than the numbers say it is or its speed is overrrated (Should be a 10 speed or so IMO). This disc has never actually faded back more than a few feet for me, even when given a significant amount of time in the air.

The complaints out of the way, I will say the plastic is very nice and grippy and this would be an excellent disc to teach beginners how to throw higher speed drivers and perhaps instill a little confidence in their ability to throw the "big boy" discs. I just find this particular mold to be far too understable for any experienced disc golfer to use on holes that require a 12 speed driver.

The Hades is a great understable distance driver. Out of the box, it flies true to its flight rating. It begins to turn right out of the hand and holds for most of the flight with a gentle fade at the end.

In my experience, the Hades is not a very forgiving disc for those with faster arms speeds or inconsistent form. Since it is so understable, it requires a very delicate touch to get the most out of the flight and to throw it with precision.

I like to use this disc on long straight fairways where I can flip it up to flat, get a little turn, and let it fade nicely at the end. I also like this disc for tunneling shots that veer to the right. I am a RHBH thrower, so a flat release provides a consistent turn that goes far. The danger, however, and putting too much speed on the disc, causing it to turn too hard too early. I have not tried this disc as a roller, but I am sure that it will quickly become a roller disc as it wears a little more.

I give this disc 4 stars because I would prefer something with a touch less turn so that when it gets beat in, it flies perfectly. Given the understability of the Hades out of the box, it is inevitable that it will only become more understable with long term wear, making this disc even more touchy. Maybe more plastic options would resolve this issue, but I guess we will have to wait.

I've got 2 of these discs both in the 170-174 weight range and they are great. When they were brand new i could throw it flat and get a really long drawn out S curve that would keep gliding to about 320' once i thought it was done at about 300'. They broke in fairly quickly and i now have to power down and hyzerflip them but they still get out to 340-360 pretty easily. They are great for max distance in wide open fairways, long hyzerflips, and massive turnovers and annys that fade at the very last second to land flat.

The ESP Swirl is not only nice to look at but it feels great in the hand as well. The flight plate is really thin, almost like flesh not plastic. I'm assuming that's where its big glide comes from. It has the same flight numbers as a Thrasher but both of mine are a lot more understable than my Thrasher, totally different discs really. This would be an awesome disc for anyone, from a beginner moving up to their first 12 speed to an advanced shot shaper.

172-174 Prototype ESP, Orange:  Straight up Bomber with some reliability.  I get the exact flight out of this disc for 400-450 just like the diagram.  Ever since my first throw with this disc, I've been impressed.

This ESP plastic is supple and grippy.  I have several colors, but the Orange one I got is more like K1 translucent from Kastaplast, which I really love.   The rest of the colors I expect to season quickly, probably won't last as long as Star or Fusion.  More on par with bio-Fusion for durability.

Comfortable rim, much like a Zeus.  A little bit domey, but not too much.  Still flat enough with a shallow rim to flick comfortably.

Will hold an anhyzer line for much of its flight, still stand up and fade at the end without turning into a roller.  This disc gives me the ability to go 400+ over the tops of trees, and surprised me when it went 500 on a big anny flick.  Granted it was 60 feet to the left of my 460 target on my second shot, but dang...no Shryke ever did that for me.  Noticeably less stable than an ESP or Ti Crank, but easier distance and more overall stability than my Z Nuke SS, which seems to have become my roller disc by virtue of it usually doing so on its own.

I feel like anyone can get something out of the Hades, but its the intermediate and older players that I think will really appreciate the distance and types of shots that the Hades can provide.

I really love the Hades.  I'd like a Ti and Z version of this disc.

The Hades flies exactly as advertised! It’s an understable bomber. I’ve never had the strongest arm, so I recently started to throw more US drivers. I compare this to a Thrasher, but slightly less flippy. The Hades is the first disc I’ve been able to throw 400’ and I’ve only been using for a month (I was fortunate enough to get a prototype when they were first released). Anyone out there looking to add a very reliable, very controllable high speed driver should check this out. It will hyzerflip to straight and finish with consistent fade or hold an anhyzer all the way to the end of flight if desired. For me, this is “point and click” for anything over 300’

Review of Prototype 172g ESP Hades:

I throw an Innova Shryke about 315' as my main driver and was interested in the number of Shryke throwers who reviewed this and switched. I throw a GStar Shryke at 162g that is controllable for hyzer flips and anny shots that don't throller (if done well, of course) and a Champion Glow Shryke at 168g that is much more overstable. I would say the Hades is considerably more understable than either of the Shrykes I described for high speed flight. As a -3 stability, that seems about right, compared to the -2 rating on the Shryke. I think a better comparison for the Hades is the Latitude 64 Bolt.

Despite being quite understable, the Hades has a nice amount of fade and should fight out of a flip/anny angle if you get enough air under it. I think the fade rating of 2 (same as Shryke) is fair.

I've only played one round where I tried to throw this on every hole where it was remotely useful. As a result, I threw it in a few places where I'd normally reach for a fairway driver or even a longer mid and got some interesting results. Because it is so understable and has a lot of glide, I was able to get some really straight, low-ceiling flights (250' or so) by simply using less power. I doubt McBeth was designing it that way, but he may have accidentally created a very effective fairway driver for tight short holes that need a bigger skip-fade at the end.

I don't have a super powerful forehand, so I do prefer understable discs like this and got some good FH throws in comparable to other discs I like.

The rim width of 23mm (same as Shryke) will be quite large if you have smaller hands.

I didn't get this into a field where I can really evaluate the distance and, as I said, only got one round in. So far, I like it and could see it having a place in my bag. I'd guess the distance for me is comparable to a Shryke or Bolt. It has a lot of glide, so I feel like I can get some really good results with less power and more spin. I think that would make this a good choice where your footing or space prevent a full run-up but you still need to cover some distance. I'll update if I discover anything new.

I rated this as neutral for beginners, mostly because I don't think a beginner should be using a 12 speed driver at all. If you can throw 275' or so, then this is a good introduction to high speed drivers. I often find the Pro's signature discs are great for players with elite power, but not so much for those of us with intermediate power. This, however, is a disc just about anyone could enjoy.

This disc would be a great first high speed driver. For more advanced players the Hades is great for hyzer-flips or shots where you need distance with less effort.

The plastic is grippy and beautiful as we have come to expect from ESP.

If I had to describe the flight to another disc it would be the Crank SS or Tern from Innova. The hand feel is better than both of those however!

As you'd expect a disc rated with -3 turn is very flippy, but I thought since it was a 12 speed I'd be able to control it with a hyzer angle. Nope...I one disced this at an 18 hole bomber course and got more accidental rollers than air shots. I throw a lot of understable plastic too. I won't be bagging the hades or expanding my bag with any more. The first miss in the new McBeth line of discs IMO.

This thing bombs!!!! I am a forehand distance player so finding a understable, distance driver that doesn't turn over can be a challenge but the hades is definitely up to the challenge. I can hyzer-flip to flat for tight lines, hzyer-flip to flex for max distance, flat to anhyzer for a turnover or a anhyzer release for a roller and this disc holds true every time, overall it is a great flex bomber disc that has just enough stability to handle power, there are however a few variables that you should consider. 1st Wind direction - this disc is uncontrollable in headwinds 15mph+ however in tailwind the hades will bomb and still fade out in the end. 2nd Angle release control - like any understable disc with high glide this disc is very sensitive to nose angle and release angle(hyzer, flat, anhyzer). 3rd Airspace - while this is my longest driver it is definitely not the straightest, it requires quite a bit of room to flex and get the distance so if when I play wooded courses this disc never comes out of the bag but when I play long park style or old ball golf courses this is my go to for distance. I would recommend this disc for all skill levels but slower arm speeds might want to stick with the lighter hades.

This is has quickly become my favorite disc to throw for any distance shots. Extremely controllable, resistant to turn and burn, and glide for days!

I was routinely pushing about 350-380 on my star shryke and 375+ with a blizzard katana that I had a hard time controlling the turn on. My first few throws with the Hades we're pushing 400 and just crushed my longest throw since I've started playing (around 6 months) 466 with a nice tailwind. The glide makes this thing sail with great speed.

This disc is very forgivable, if you have semi decent arm speed. It'll fight back left if you turn it over a bit to much on a lower throw. If you put it up higher with an anny it has a great controlled turnover that'll finish more forward than diving right

This is a disc that'll stay in your bag as you progress. Highly recommended!

I love my Signature ESP Hades. It is my go-to disc for max distance on backhand throws, because I can rip it as hard as I want, and it won't turn too far. If I throw it low, it glides straight for days. If I throw it a little higher, it will have a late turn, but still fight out and (at least start to) fade at the end. I love the feel, because my Hades is a little bit dome-y, but still very comfortable in my hand. The rim length and depth feel just right in my hand, and the ESP plastic grips pretty well. I don't like throwing this disc on a forehand, because I have a tendency to rip a little too hard, and the Hades is too understable for me in that regard, but that is why I carry a Z Force. Finally, the looks of the disc: the swirl/dye/multicolor looks great. Overall, I couldn't be happier with my Hades, and would recommend it to anybody in the 300-400+ max distance range.

Okay, this is an early review, as I've only thrown it for two rounds, but I already LOVE this disc.

I max out at 350ish, and my max distance driver had been a beat in Star Shryke (171?g). I saw the Hades and I wanted to try it out. Well, I really struggled with consistency with the Shryke. I had to release it with the perfect angle to get the S-Curve I wanted without flipping into a roller, and overall it was super inconsistent. But, with the Hades, (160-163, light, I know), I am mashing controllable turnovers and S-Curves right out of the box. It's like a beat in Shryke, but a WHOLE lot more consistent. Even after just 2 rounds I can see how versatile this disc is going to be. It's going to fly massively understable for you bigger arms, but for an amateur 300'-350' player, you can't really go wrong here.

Caveats: this is an early review. And, I am not a bomber, maxing out at 330-350 feet. I usually throw Katanas or Vibram Laces for distance. So the closest comparison is against Katanas -- of which I have many, in many plastics. I would say that Hades (the prototype version) definitely has more glide. I would rate it similarly understable, with the exception that Hades' turn appears to come later during the flight. This is not a headwind disc. But, I have managed the longest turn-anhyzers ever with this disc -- even if unintentionally. More importantly, in the course where I have played 400+ rounds, I have in a couple of short weeks managed to reach or match my greatest distance in 2-3 holes. So this disc definitely holds promise. For me it works much better than Shryke -- another disc I have been experimenting with recently. Perhaps it is more about me learning the disc than anything else. My conclusion: those who throw Katanas might find this a serious contender, especially if this discs becomes available in different plastics.
