This is a useful disc for a forehand dominate player like myself. It goes a healthy distance, but is by no means my furthest driver. Where it excels is on anhyzer shots of various lengths including at max distance. The initial turn is reliable as is the late fade except if thrown at a more extreme angle in which case it will simply hold the anhyzer. Z is not my favorite plastic in the hand, but it holds its initial flight characteristics very well over time.

I was given a Flash ESP after a few months of playing, and it was my first double digit speed driver. I really loved it for a while, it didn't have a lot of turn and it went further than all my other discs, but as I threw harder the turn got really bad for me. It used to be great for tunnel shots but now if I put a little power on it it'll end up way in the bushes. I still like it a lot for long, open holes where you can throw it, let it turn and then fade, but it just has too much turn for tight holes. I do really love it still though, it feels really nice, its got a lot of grip, and it feels really good for my fledgling forehand. I'd probably give it a 4.5/5 if I could but I'm gonna round up because its a sentimental disc for me.

Very versatile long driver. I had one that was a little more domey when I was still learning and it flex pretty easy at intermediate speeds. My Z Flash 167 now is flat, maybe even slightly concave and if it's absolutely crushed it will flex out over 400ft. This disc is faster than expected and incredibly accurate. Throw it low, flat and hard and watch it predictably snake through narrow openings. Equally effective BH or FH.

I love control drivers. Use my mids a lot. But, when I need big distance I grab the Z Flash! It's the only "High Speed" driver in my bag. Lots of bang with good control. Found it out drove all other drivers I've used and holds good lines. Stable enough to fight a head wind. I agree with Alan about the rim not being too thick.
