Pro-D plastic provides a baseline feel with plenty of grip. It seasons faster than premium blends, allowing the Buzzz OS to beat in to a slightly straighter flight while retaining late fade.

    Pro-D Details

Pro-D is Discrafts affordable basic plastic blend. This isn't the most durable plastic, but it provides good grip and is very affordable. For old school disc golfers that like to "break in" thier discs for varying flight paths, Pro-D is an excellent choice. It is also one of the most popular blends for putters and is often referred to as "putter line" plastic.

Pro-D Buzz OS (174g) - I've been experimenting with mids recently so naturally I wanted to try the Buzz OS. Now, one of my favorite discs is the Zone, especially in the stiff, grippy Pro-D plastic. The Zone as many people know is a super overstable putt and approach disc. I made the mistake of thinking that the Buzz OS would be similar to the Zone in its overstability, but in a faster disc. Sadly, I was mistaken and found it to be much more neutral than the flight numbers would suggest. It would flip to flat or turn over pretty easily with medium to hard power. To be fair it always finished with some overstability but not nearly as hard as the zone. Once I got that figured out I could assess it a little better; I'd say it felt pretty similar to the Rancho Roc in terms of size and the shape of the rim and bead and it flew pretty similarly. For those who have thrown the Roc, you know that it can hold a lot of angles and is a really useful disc. I think this Buzz OS could be a useful disc for anyone looking for a somewhat stable mid. But if you're looking for something a lot more stable, there are probably better options or just throw a Zone.
