It's a longer zone. What's not to love? Flat top, reliable fade, super torque resistant. Great for any level player, beginner to pro.

I use this as a utility disc, mostly in the woods for its ability to make shaped shots that will definitely come back at the finish or for a hard dogleg that needs a bit more distance than a zone.

What an amazing forehand mid. Cracking this thing hard on forehand gets such an amazing straight flight with predictable finish out at ~285 for my arm. Surprising amount of glide considering the overstabiliry and firm finish. Will not turn over. Board flat, great in-hand feel. More than a harp, less than a firebird, that's the slot for me and it's upped my game more than I expected

The Buzzz OS is a great compliment to the buzzz. In a head wind it'll fly just like a buzz in casual condition. In casual conditions it is much more stable than a buzzz. It's great for baby flexes, forehands, and glidey hyzers. Great glide for how overstable it is.

Good overstable disc for utility shots.

As I was getting better at shaping my shots, I was missing an overstable disc for curving approach shots. The Buzzz OS fills that need, with a reliable fade for shots 120-200ft, forehand and backhand. It is still the easiest disc for me to throw forehand since I know I will never flip it over.

It remains a utility disc for me for the following reasons:

    • not suited for shorter approach shots because it fades too fast (disc becomes almost vertical)
    • at my arm speed, not suited for driving because it has too much drag (disc fights speed) and also won't hold an anhyzer line long enough for a flex shot

Review is based on Z Buzzz OS I also own ESP, BigZ, and Cryztal. I have thrown TI, so this review is partially based on those as well.  This mold is a 3.5/5 stars, but I couldn't rate it that, nor is it a 4 star disc most of the time.

Bottom Line: Buzzz being in the title is just branding. It doesn't really have much to do with the Buzzz, or even feel much like it in the hand. Its a good OS mid, but not even Discraft's best.

I've bagged these, and actually like them. It in no way compares to its namesake in greatness. It feels fine in the hand, but not great like a Buzzz (I have big hands, and long skinny fingers). It flies pretty straight with a good fade. I do think the Drone is a better OS mid from Discraft. It is really nice to use as your forehand Buzzz. In that application I would say its a 4 star disc.

That being said, the Ti Buzzz OS are a beautiful solidly 4 star disc. The Cryztl Buzzz OS's may be even better. I just got some Scott Withers TS ones, and I'm sold.

If you want a more OS mid go with Discrafts Drone or Hornet.

This disc isn't for beginners, but after 9 mos to a year and a half I could see someone getting good use from it if they excel at the sport. I would master the Buzzz first anyway, which actually takes longer than that.

Similar Discs: Drone or Malta, Bobcat!, Roc3, and MD4. Don't expect this to sub for a recluse or justice.

I don't like Z plastic at all, so it probably skews my perception of the disc, but everything you can do with a Buzzz OS, you can do with a Roc3. It's an alright disc, but I think there are better options out there.

The overstable big brother to the popular Buzzz. Reliable overstable finish with a little skip. Also great for forehand approach shots. Gives you confidence in a headwind.

I am very new to disc golf but I really like this disc. It has been one of my more reliable discs that I own and have tried. I throw RHFH and it goes straight and has a reliable fade. I love the flat top and the feel in my hands. This is a great disc to have. I have both a regular Buzzz and the OS but, I prefer the OS. I will definitely buy another if I lose mine and I may buy a second just to have a backup.

Still figuring this disc out. Flies very much like a Zone, however, does get 30-40 ft more distance and a bit less stable. Love the feel in the hand. Great for upshots or 200-250 ft tee shots that require a consistent fade to the basket.

The Buzzz OS was my first low speed, very overstable disc.  Before that, I used to power down fast overstable discs like a Destroyer when I wanted a shorter shot with a strong left fade.  The Buzzz OS has revolutionized that part of my game.  The big thing I'm able to do now that I couldn't before is to throw a shot that flies flat and straight for 100 to 250 feet before fading hard at the end.  In addition to those shots, it also excels at short, but high hyzers and anhyzer flex shots, where it will hold the anhyzer for longer than I'd expect before the strong fade kicks in.

The Buzzz OS feels great in the hand, and it's easy to get a clean release on every shot.  It's not a very tall midrange and works great for either backhand or forehand.  My Buzzz OS is 177 grams in super durable Z plastic, and it's hard to see it ever leaving the bag.

If you like the standard Buzzz you need to get the OS version to compliment it. It has a great flight and always dumps from the 3 fade, it does take some arm speed to fully utilize this disc however. The OS is great for short spike shots, windy days and it handles well thrown on a forehand or backhand.

So I used to throw a mixed bag before moving to MVP fully, this disc was a great disc to use. I love overstable discs and midranges with overstability are a staple for me.

While I had this for less than a year I found that the durability of Z line withstands the rough conditions as I played wooded courses; it is better than champion plastic. It also has the best feel for a high-durable plastic that I had tried.

As far as the buzz OS, I found that no mater how much torque or wind, this disc WILL NOT turn. Ever. It also was very unique as the overstability provided a dependable fade but it was not hard dumping. May overstable discs will drop hard and skip, the buzz os would have more of a soft drop that didn't skip much. Made it great for approaches since you could throw it hard and flat but trust it would drop and settle by the basket.

If I ever throw a mixed bag again, this would probably be one of the first discs I would add back.

A longer zone... I really like this disc.  It is very consistent while still having a good bit of glide to get some good distance.  To me, it flies like my zone but with about 30 extra feet of distance and a notch-less fade.  Feels very similar to a normal Buzzz so if you throw a buzzz you will probably like this, but know it is a little shallower which took a little to realize for my forehand but it's not a problem now.  I would recommend this to anyone who throws buzzzes and wants something a little more overstable.

For starters, I am not really a Discraft guy. Just something about the company rubs me the wrong way. Maybe it's that they seem to bully the sport by taking all of the best players and offering deals they can't refuse, even when it means ending their contracts 2 years early (cough cough, Paige Pierce). Anyway....

I won a tournament that was sponsored by Discraft and was able to purchase a few discs with my earnings. I got the Buzzz, Buzzz OS, and Buzzz SS. My favorite of those three is by far the Buzzz OS. It's similar to my Champion Roc3 in both feel and flight, but just a little more stable. Yes, it's less stable than my DD Justice. It fits nicely in my bag because it hits that "sweet spot" just right. However, I plan on purchasing an Emac Truth soon, and I'm wondering if that will have similar flight characteristics. Either way...I'm a fan of the Buzzz OS!

I can trust it to finish left even when throwing into a head wind. It's not too glidy, so I can trust it's not going to sail past the basket when thrown properly. I'm getting to the point where trust in my disc is one of the most important components of my game.

Super great mid range for me. I was originally throwing an Axis, by MVP, and loved it. I showed it to a buddy and by looking at the wing shape and flat top plate suggested a throw a Buzzz OS. He gave me a 2015 Memorial Championship Edition in Z GLO plastic, this thing is fire.

The disc holds a 50% power flick well, thrown on anhyzer, flat, or hyzer. My backhand upshots like this mold as well. This thing is beefy, fights the wind like duck! I still bag the MVP Axis in Proton plastic, as it's in my opinion the sibling to the Buzzz OS.

    Try one out!

My favorite overstable midrange ever.  This thing is so good.  I use buzzz's, a zone, and a buzzz OS for my midrange game.  This thing is just so over stable.  If I throw this I need a little anhyzer, or I can throw it flat and watch it fade.  If you want a great overstable midrange, this disc is for you.  It feels just like a buzzz.  If you have not thrown discraft's midranges, you NEED to.  I only throw discraft for midranges.  I also have a Judge for putting and very short approach shots.

This was the first overstable mid I fell in love with and I’ve never stopped. This disc is pretty much a Zone on steroids which means it’s going to fly far, reliably, and take the line you out it on to finish with a hard overstable fade. It’ll fly flat and hard, soft for high flexes, high on hard hyzers, and always fight through obstacles. I use the elite z plastic and this thing absolutely rips through leaves and small branches. Can’t reccomend highly enough.

I must have gotten a bad run of this disc or something but I was very underwhelmed. This thing barely faded for me and didn’t glide at all. It flew like a beat-in roc3, very straight. From the reviews I read for this disc, I was expecting something a little less stable than a gator but that was not the case. I liked the diameter and the beadless rim, but it just didn’t do what I expected.

I love this disc. I have seen reviews where people have said they didn’t like the feel of the Buzzz so they tried this and didn’t like it either... it feels just like a Buzzz but OS. It’s the same feel. If you like the Buzzz you will love this. It is true to its numbers for sure. If you can max out  a drive around 400 feet then this is perfect for you. I can rip this thing flat full power and it will glide flat with no turn for about 260 feet with a STRONG reliable dumping fade to get out to close to 300 feet. If you throw it on a hyzer with height and power it will hold that line. I feel like the harder you throw it the more glide it has. I also love it as a sneaky utility disc. I can throw it on an anny line for reliable flex shots. If you give it 250+ feet of power on an anny it will hold that line for a 40% of its flight then ride flat for 20% then fade for the ending 40%. I have the only eagle I have ever heard of an extremely wooded difficult par 4 at a local course. I used this anny flex to fight through the trees and get a throw in from about 225 feet from the basket. It is the perfect disc if you have the power for it. If not it will be too dumpy for you as many overstable discs will be for lower arm speeds. I had a Roc3 before this that I wanted to fill this slot but it was not true to its numbers. It needed to be hyzer flipped to flat or it would turn over when throw flat. If you tried to get it to hold a hyzer for more than 200 feet you would be very disappointed. Not the Buzzz os. Great workable disc that does what you need if you trust it’s fade. Highly recommend.

I have been looking for a Harp like midrange for a little bit and when I got this one in a tournament and threw around with it I knew I had found what I was looking for. I like using a RHFH for approaches and midrange distances and needed something to bridge the gap between my Harp and Teebird. I wanted it to be the roc3 but it was not as OS as it's numbers dictated. So far, this has done wonders for it. Really liking this disc.

I love the OS Buzzz. The curve at the end is very predictable. I use it all the time to weave through the forested courses where I live. When I have a mid-distance dogleg shot, I go to this disc. Very useful disc. Super flat on top, the elite Z plastic is nice and smooth.

The Buzzz OS is the more stable varient of the Buzzz family. Like the name would imply, it feels very much like a Buzzz in hand, but it does have a much more overstable flight. I would compare the flight to a new Wasp, nice and stable, but workable. I actually prefer this disc to the original Buzzz because of the added stability. If you are a Buzzz thrower lookng for more stability this is the disc for you (or try a Wasp, I like them even more).

A disc that will go straight and then slight left with a Bh and straight with a slight right on FH. I do see this as a touchy disc however. It can turn over on you and take a deviant path. I have replaced this disc in my bag for the Drone as the Drone doesn't turn over as easily. I do love this type of plastic tho.

    Buzzz OS review.

I am not a fan boy of any one company. If a disc fits my hand and has a place in my bag it stays. That said I haven't cared for any other disc of this type. Flat, smooth, reliable. I can only comfortably put 75% power on this disc max before it hurts my fingers. This is Ok because I only use it for utility. A similar shot any further I grab my Monster (Innova) or my Resistor (MVP). For short dog leg technical shots this disc outdoes a Roc3 Gator ect. Hard turn dump with minimal skip. If I need a skip I disc up. This is the only Buzzz I use anymore and the only Discraft disc in my bag. I have had the same one for 2 years (about 100 rounds) in Z plastic and it flies true to day one. Highly recommend this disc for those that dislike the feel of most OS mids. Buy it once, buy it for life.

The Buzzz OS was not what I was hoping for when they released it. I was hoping for a wind fighting mid, a Buzzz with just a step up more HSS. Instead Discraft gave us this flat slab of beef! I feel the Drone and Hornet have this slot covered, and even in a headwind where these aforementioned meathooks will stand up and fly straighter, they still I can't get the lazer beam shots with distance I can put the Buzzz on. A Wasp that feels like a Buzzz is what the Buzzz OS should have been.

That being said, I do love the Buzzz like feel of the BuzzzOS over the Drone or Hornet, and disc feel is a huge factor in what I bag and what I reach for in a round, so this disc has really improved my game. Short skippers, spike hyzers, midrange any-flex shots, my poorly executed forehand, and shorty holes where I want to make damn sure I finish left (RHBH).

I've been throwing 180-181g Z's and the Glo FLX (which are even more stable!) so maybe lighter weights have less fade, but my experience puts these at 5,3,0,4. Just as OS as the Justice I messed around with.

Hands down, every player needs a Discraft Buzzz OS in their arsenal.

DG is a sport which is plagued by inconsistency by all manufacturers to some degree, this disc flies the exact same no matter what run or color you pick up. Much of that is due to Discraft's awesomeness. It's a flat, overstable midrange that has a decent amount of glide that fades every time. Backhand or forehand, this disc will fulfill your need for an overstable midrange.

Whenever I am in doubt of what shot to throw in the woods of NC, I forehand some kind of line with my trusty orange Z Buzzz OS. More often than not, it turns out to be a fantastic decision.

What I like to consider as the 3rd member of the Buzzz family. This disc is great for those advanced players who love their Buzzz but need something more stable. It feels great in the hand, and very much like the Buzzz so those who throw those will be right at home with this disc. It is not as beefy as a Justice or Gator, but it will hold its line in a headwind and will be a very reliable mid to compliment the others of the Buzzz family.

This was the first mid-range I ever purchased. Great disc but it was definitely just a beginning disc for me. I felt like the disc died a lot faster than I expected and never could have it keep its flight path. I had to adjust my throw but eventually was able to see some results. I next went to the Shark then the Roc KC Pro. If I had to give advice on this disc, I personally wouldn't suggest it to start out. I'd say start with the Roc and master that disc. Its a disc almost every good player has in their bag.

This would be worth a try if you haven't had much luck with other mid-ranges though. I would just suggest to go lighter. I've had alot of luck throwing 150g putters and comparable mid-ranges.

This disc will last you a while though. Its very sturdy and easy to hold on to.

I'm new to the game, but this is my go to mid-range disc.

It was pretty easy to learn how to throw this forehand, and it's very reliable.

My new go to midrange on windy days or just when I need an upshot to fade.  This disc feels great in the hand and is incredibly reliable, no matter how you release this disc it will make sure that it fades.  On days where the wind starts picking up a lot this becomes one of the few discs in my bag that I never have to worry about, just throw it out to the right and it will come back left hard.  This disc is a great if you like the buzzz, but want something more reliably overstable.

The Buzzz OS is a great disc. I got to throw like 100 of these at the 2014 Amateur World Championships, and they all were exactly the same. There were a lot of them that had really big puddle tops, and those seemed to be even more overstable, but I can't say for sure. The Buzzz OS is the overstable Buzzz everyone has been looking for. I got a traditional Buzzz (Z line plastic) and loved it's straight, reliable flight. But the more I played, the more I started to get comfortable with overstable discs. Much like a Firebird or Boss, the Buzzz OS loves to hyzer out of the air almost immediately making it an excellent disc for so many shots. It's incredibly dependable as it's flight is so consistent. Use it for the mid-range hyzer bombs to get yourself out of a woodsy situation and park it next to the basket all in one toss. An absolute must-have for advanced players.

I got an extremely beefy, OS mid with the Buzzz OS.  The thing that surprised me the most was the smoothness of the plastic and it's ability to preform well on forehand shots.  You will not want to throw a power forehand with this, but for any upshot/approach under 175' that needs to follow the particular line, the Buzzz OS is solid.  Also, over time it has slightly broken in, creating more distance with the backhand shot. Similiar to the wasp, just very different feeling molds/discs.

I like this disc for a flickable mid handles power with ease and easy to predict and control.

I liked the Buzzz for forehand midrange and approach shots, but it wasn't quite overstable enough, and so ultimately bagged the DD Suspect for my forehand midrange shots. The Buzzz OS is even more overstable, and more predictable than the Suspect. The flat top and thin profile of the Buzzz OS is perfect for sidearm throws.

If you're a primary forehand player, or just looking for a very overstable mid, you're going to want to buy an Elite Z Buzzz OS.

The Buzzz OS perfectly filled a hole in my bag.  After you break it in, it flies similar to a brand new Roc3, which makes it a great complement disc to my Buzzz.  I use it when I have a long upshot that absolutely must drop left instead of gliding out.  I also like to use it as a limited distance full throw.  It goes right around 230' for me and drops softly left.  A beginner should steer clear of this overstable midrange and look at a Buzzz instead.

It's a really nice disc, i won mind from Infinite Discs on facebook. Now i know its an OS disc but the amount over OS is insane for me. it seems like maybe i just need to wear it in a bit more and it will hopefully get me some distance. At the moment though its overstability is comparable to my Stilleto.

Love the buzzz os. I've had a hard time finding a midrange that is consistent for me. Until i got this disc. I use it mainly as a utility disc, but the more i throw it the better i'm liking it. It will hold a stright line nicely with enough snap and will come back at the end no matter what.

Great overstable mid. If you wish your Zone would go farther.  Great for forehand and backhand drives.

Put some snap on it and it will hold a sraight line 200 230 ft before the fade. Great disc to cover up mistakes in form.
