I love this disc, I've been playing for roughly 2-3 years and my RHBH Distance is 380-410 and my ESP Avenger is slightly beat-in. It holds straight a line for about 80-85% of the flight with a subtle fade at the end. It has a slight flip on a baby hyzer line and fades out at the end. I love throwing these on anhyzer though because it holds turn well at high speeds and has a baby flex and the very end of the flight. I love that this disc doesn't have lots of left to right/right to left movement which makes it the perfect control driver for an intermediate/advanced player and carves lines through wooded courses. I wouldn't recommend this disc to beginners because of the high speed and fade. It's the 10-speed version of a Surge, but slightly less stable than one if beat in.

I had this disc in Elite Z which seems to be temporarily unavailable. Z plastic is usually the most stable meaning it will fade the most or quicker when it is slowing down. I was surprised a bit how stable this was, close to a Predator but not quite. I would rate it more in the speed 9 range based on my feeling on the rim size and flight.

Nice disc and if I was throwing all Discraft it's one I would put in the bag. Good control driver for wind or high power throws for accuracy.

Edit: 3 years in. There are just so many discs out on the market now that do what the avenger does but much better. If you want a flight like this and your interested in discraft, get a vulture or Anax. It's in that realm but just flew shorter for me.

Pretty overstable distance driver. I didn't think it flew special, but I also don't think I have the armspeed to take advantage of this disc. For reference, I throw in the 320-350 range. I saw a comparison to an Innova Thunderbird, but I don't think that's correct. My Thunderbird is a pretty straight flyer with some fade, the Avenger is a pretty overstable driver. For me, it's more comparable to a firebird than a Thunderbird.

While I am admittedly not a fan of Discraft's products (not because it's any less of a product, but really just a personal preference) the Avenger is a fine disc. To me, it felt similar to the Orc from Innova, but I simply preferred the rim on the Orc. The Avenger, thrown flat, will fly out fairly straight when thrown hard with a very dependable fade at the end. It's a tough disc for new players because they will not have the arm speed or control to get the expected flight and will often see the disc hyzer out too soon. The disc doesnt have the same glide feeling that I get from the Orc, and ultimately couldn't find a spot in my bag. For newer players, I would recommend giving the Avenger SS a shot because it's a bit easier to throw, and will allow you to find that pretty S-curve earlier in your game.

My experience with the Avenger was short lived. For some reason I could not get over the rim of this disc. Like the Comet from discraft I loved the flight as it was just as advertised right out of the box for the Avenger. A nice straight stable flight with a good amount of fade. Very controllable and sneaky long. However also like the Comet there are more comfortable discs out there that do the same thing. This disc felt sharp for forehand and being the great stability of the Avenger I surely would want to use it for some forehand here and there. For reference sake I throw 350' on average and can get out to 400' on the right day with the right slope.

I started with the Avenger SS so it only seemed natural for me to move up to it's big brother the Avenger once my arm improved. Now it is my go to driver. I carry three: a 172g ESP for windy or full power drives, a 172g Elite X that is almost new that flies nice and straight with little to no turn, and a beat to heck 172g Elite X Nate Doss Signature that flies with a nice S-curve or will also finish on a decent long distance anhyzer. Great disc with so many uses. I recommend it most for intermediate players as it is not a disc for people without a fair amount of power and decent form.

I have an ESP Avenger, unknown weight. Picked this disc up in a used pile and I'm so happy I did. This disc is very controllable with a predictable left turn at the end. This disc can also hold an anhyzer line, which amazed me because that throw also went about 350' and it usually doesn't go that far for me.
