I recently picked up this disc at 175 grams in s line plastic. I was intrigued when I read that this was "a faster FD" and it has flight numbers very similar to the Essence, both discs that I love. Even though the only option for me to purchase was at max weight, I thought it was worth a shot given the prior observations stated. As far as I'm concerned, everything proved to be correct. I find myself lacing this disc down fairways without much turn or fade when thrown hard and flat. This seems as straight as possible for a 10 speed driver and I very much appreciate this because I can pull this out when I need a little more speed that a FD can provide. As far as this disc being similar to the Essence, that holds true when this disc is thrown on anhyzer, as it will turn a decent amount before finally fading back. I haven't been able to hyzer flip this disc yet, but I anticipate being able to do so after I hit a few trees with it (as I seem to do a lot). If you enjoy the FD and the Essence, what are you waiting for? Pick this disc up and give it a few throws.

166g S-Line plastic.  Very good beginner distance driver.  Similar to Innova Beast.  We like it, but rarely reach for it.  Beast seems to go a little bit further.  My son and I play regularly, but we keep extra discs for friends and family.  We pretty much only use the TD for field practice and when friends need discs.  For new players, I suspect that TD would be a very good 1st distance driver.  I simply prefer some other distance drivers (Innova Beast, Innova Wraith, Innova Mystere, Westside Sorcerer, Innova Tern, and Gateway Apex, in approximate order of more-to-less beginner friendly).  I recommend not getting Discmania's D-Line plastic.  Spend the extra money for P-Line plastic or better.

This is a very nice understable driver. Exact description of it: it's a faster Leopard. It hyzer flips very easily and does turnover shots with ease. Nice for wooded shots that need to hit a tight line down the fairway.

I loved an S-line TD I used to have.  It had just the right amount of turn and was a great roller.  My new C-line is very long, straight and stable... its still new and takes a strong rip to show any turn.  Powered down there is more than a 1 fade, too.  I could not get it to hold a high anny all the way to the ground even at full power. I got this for long straight backhand rollers but it is going to take awhile to beat in this C-line plastic to get it to where I want it relative to turn.  It is harsh but minus 1 star because at least when new it is barely a -1 turn.  If you want a Turning Driver that turns I recommend the other plastics, but I still really like all TDs.

I don't personally know anybody else that throws these and I'm not sure why.  In my opinion, it's one of the most underrated discs.  It is the perfect control driver to carry if you like the FD.  The flat rim (no curved lip that many discs including the Teebird have) is really comfortable and also similar to that of the FD.  I carry a C-Line and a D-Line.  C-Line is pretty flat and the D-Line has some dome to it.  Brand new, the D-Line goes straight with a soft, long turn.  Depending on the snap I get on it, it will finish without any fade or with a very light fade at most.  It glides forever thanks to the plastic and dome.  The C-Line I carry has the blizzard rim with bubbles and it is dead straight with a bit of fade at the end.  Despite the bubbles it is still very durable.  It doesn't skip a lot because it doesn't fade very hard, so it's extra reliable if you want your shot to stay in a tunnel.

I almost forgot...forehand hyzer-flips with the C-line are beautiful.  The flip up is gradual if you don't over-torque it, so it goes straight for a very long time.  Play with the release angles and you can shape a basically any shot you need, so it is a fantastic disc to use on a tightly wooded course.  Also, if you need a disc to teach you a clean forehand release, this will tell you what you're doing wrong.  Get one!

The TD is a nice disc for players looking to take that next step up from fairway drives. This disc has a nice straight flight withjust a hint of turn and fade when new. It allowed for pretty good distance for me, even when not thrown full power. The C-line plastic feels great and is quite durable. The size of the rim is still pretty small, making it a comfortable disc in the hand. This is a nice disc from Discmania.

do you want that smooth easy distance and a disc you kinda question where it might land? You found it! i can toss this disc farther than any other, but tends to land in a spot i did not envision. It does not stray to far (with in 10-15 feet where you might think) but if there is a stiff breeze put it away. All that being said i still bag one because it is versatile, it will turn if you want it to, and it will go very far. It has the feel of a midrange (very comfy) and you can chuck it like a very long broken in Buzzz.

I traded a friend for one of these and I'm glad I did. The narrow rim gives it an almost mid-range feel in the hand, but it goes like a distance driver. I forehand this at 175g and it works well for two main purposes:

    1) Long anhyzers that won't fade out at the end

My home course presents a shot around a huge tree right off the tee and this negotiates       that shot beautifully.

    2) Long, straight shots

The TD flies straight as a Buzzz, but glides for much longer. For that reason, it works for       ace runs on straight holes when overshooting is not issue.

This was my first Discmania purchase, and after throwing it for nearly a month, I was so impressed that I bought four more of their molds. I throw around 300'-350' typically, and this disc sails as far is my Destroyers all day but a straighter flight path. Perfect for tunnel shots when thrown flat with good snap, great anhyzers, holds an hyzer line well too, and it just feels great in the hand, more like a fairway driver.

The C line TD is exactly the disc I was looking for.  When I throw it hard and flat it will flip over and give me a nice consistent anhyzer line, with a little fade at the end.  It can also be powered down and hyzer flipped to flat with a sight turn and little fade.  I don't find myself throwing this disc often at my home courses, but its always in my bag and every time I reach for it I have the confidence it will do exactly what I am looking for.
