I have the sensei in baseline, premium, and premium glow plastic. The baseline is the flatest, flies great for drives and approaches with a great straight flight and gentle finish, but I find the plastic too rubbery and soft. The premium and glow also fly great, but have a bit more dome. The premium plastic is quite stiff and slippery. The glow is better for a little flexibility and grip. Ideally, a sensei in flex 3 or p line plastic would be perfect...

The baseline plastic feels good and the disc gives a good, pretty straight flight. The numbers seem about right to me, comparing with the similiarly numbered Alpaca and Yi: just a tad more stable than the 3/3/0/0 Yi and more glide than the Alpaca (though the Alpaca may not be a full 3 glide). I think this will work very well for anyone, beginner or otherwise, whether for general putting close to the basket, or for moderate distance shots when a straighter, less skippy finish is wanted. I like the look of the disc, too -- silver on black.

This disc is an extremely reliable approach disc for me. It is very glidey, but it always seems to set down right where I place it. I really like the baseline plastic for this disc, as it offers a great grip compared to the Active Premium. Super straight flying disc that will hold a place in my bag for the foreseeable future.

I got this out of a mystery box last year and had never thrown it before. After working it into my bag because of the 6 stamps on it, I'm sure glad I did! Even though it's only about 170g (I prefer heavier and I just now found out that it's an option so I'm thrilled) it is such a great disc for me! I'm throwing it on holes where I would have previously thrown a midrange because it has so much glide and forward push. When I got it, it was just a tad more stable than it is now, but it's beat in so nicely. On hyzer, it flips up and just pushes forward with no fade. When thrown flat, it has a bit of soft turn and holds that line. When thrown with anhyzer, it turns but doesn't burn over and roll. This has become my go to approach disc and disc for jump putts. This is such a good disc for any disc golfer and I recommend picking one up because it will hold any line you want and will save you some strokes.

I love this disc. I use it as my go-to putting putter and often as a throwing putter.

For putting, I like that it is a shallow grip and a flat slope on the rim. Over time as they beat in they tend to become more puddle topped and feel even better in the hand.

For throwing, it goes dead straight for me with almost no fade at the end. Great for tunnel shots, uphill throws, and forehands.

Hardcore slept on disc. It flies straight and gets good distance. In the woods for a tight tunnel shot, on a short drive off the tee, need a good approach to lay up for the putt? This disc works good for that.

Discmania made a good call to add this great throwing putter. The Sensei has a slanted bottom wing that is very similar to the Envy or Atom from MVP but a slightly rounded top that gives it a lore traditional putter feel. The active plastic is nicely grippy and holds up well to use, but will ding and nic just like any other base plastic. Very close to BT Medium in feel but scuffs a touch easier.

If you like a shallow faster feeling putter this could be a good in the circle option, but it really shines on approaches and off the tee where it can hold a ton of lines forehand and backhand and take power really well. Thrown hard and flat it turns a tiny bit but holds that line for a long time, and the fade is very light.

If you like throwing putters that are stable but don't want  a big fade, this is one of the better ones I've tried.

This is a pretty sweet throwing putter for all kinds of shots: annies, hyzers, and straight shots. I rely on this disc for 150-200 foot drives when I need to pinpoint a landing zone on the fairway. Even when thrown at full power, I find this disc is predictable and consistent.

Perfect for straight line putts with minimal fade. Shallow rim feels nice.

Very much like a Pure (at least for me). Shallow, nice feel, neutral flying. Can be forehanded as well if you have the touch. Cheap. What´s not to like? :) The stamp is cool as well!

I bought 1 of these a few months ago and now I have a complete set in my bag. I use it to drive, putt, and everything in between. 5/5 would recommend

This is a great throwing putter, especially in the Premium plastic.

The Sensei is solid stable flying all purpose putt and approach disc. It has a no bead and a nice flat top. The Yikun made Active Line plastic is probably my favorite putter blend. This plastic has more grip than the Innova made but is still a good stiffness and durability. I really compare the plastic more to the mid grade putter plastics made by Trilogy than a baseline plastic, yet it is available at the ultra low cost base price.

The Discmania Sensei works well for putting, and both backhand and forehand apprach shots. It stable enough that it doesn turn over, but straight enough that it only has a moderate fade. While it works good for both sidearm and backhand throws for me, the deepness of the disc is a little more than desireable forr my forehand approaches. This disc doesn glide a lot and while it flys very straight, doesn hold an anhyzer line at slow speeds but begins to fade out.

All in all, the Sensei is a solid multi use disc.

For some background, I'm probably somewhere between a beginner and an intermediate player.  I have this disc in the active premium line and have to say that it looks and feels like the highest quality disc I own, and I own all softs of premium plastics like champion, prodiscus ultrium, viking storm, etc.  This Sensei in active premium tops them all.  This disc has gradually become the only thing I throw on approach shots, and I sometimes throw it off the tee as well if I need a straight tunnel shot in a heavily wooded hole. I don't usually putt with it unless it's just a tap in - which oddly enough I get alot of because this thing works so great as an approach disc.  For longer puts I use my discmania p2x.  I honestly wouldn't mind picking up another once of these in active premium once they're available again.  I hightly recommend if you can find one.

As a side note, there is no option for me to select active premium plastic, so I'm forced to select active baseline.  But I do not have the active baseline.  Disregard that.  This review is for the active premium line.

    This disc is amazing!

I reviewed the Active Baseline Starter Set on my YouTube channel and i was instantly blown away!

Similarly how the P Model S from Prodigy was marketed as a beginner disc, but has made its way into professional(Seppo Paju) bags, I predict that the same thing will happen with the Sensei!

I don't think this disc is designed to be a putting putter, though some people may still like it. But this thing can definitely stand up to some power and is likely better to be dedicated to upshots and drives.

I know Eagle carries the Premium Line Sensei which I would also like to get my hands on.

I really enjoy the Tiger Warrior (Guardian Lion before the name change) and it's a very versatile disc besides just being a putter.  The profile is flat and grippy and very stable when putting from inside the circle.  I've used it as a putt and approach disc and as a off the tee thrower used much like a midrange for an anhyzer shot to the right.  The lighter weight of the disc allows me to shape my shots from outside the circle and the glide is very good, as well as the feel and texture of the disc.  I would recommend it to all levels of player....

Great neutral driving putter.  I like a deeper putter for my actual putts but the Tiger Warrior feels excellent for throwing.  This is one of the first putters that I can controllably start on a hyzer and get it to flip up and glide right late in the flight.  The Tiger Warrior is stable enough to hold hyzers or anhyzers for upshot length shots.  Would definitely recommend!

Great feel in the hand, the Active Line plastic is much more durable than I anticipated. This putter will hold straight lines or whatever line you put it on, long turnover spike upshots. feels great for forehand stable upshots. great addition to anyones bag.
