Review is of DD3 Cloudbreaker... This is my favorite disc overall and I use it on all my forehand shots 325+. I've only been playing for about 3 months and had success with this disc immediately. Once I added it to my bag I improved my average score on my home course by about 6 strokes being able to place longer forehand shots closer to my target area. I'm not a typical beginner because I have a good arm and played other sports in college. I wouldn't recommend this for any beginner unless they naturally have a good forehand right away. I would give this a 4.5 out of 5 if I could but I'm going with 5 rounding up.
The one thing I've noticed is that for a $20+ disc it beats in fast and a my first one actually has some noticeable chipping on the rim. Again, I throw fairly hard, and can get this disc out to 400+ on a good flick. My backhand form isn't as good yet, but I can depend on this to hit 350 maybe a little more with solid left finish. To be fair, the plastic has held up better than base plastics or medium level plastics that I started with where after one flick catching a tree and there was a half inch gash on the rim (I'll never buy base plastics for most discs ever again unless its putt/approach).
I think the numbers are accurate but after beating the disc in a little I can easily hyzer flip the forehand, which is great for longer woods shots. I can also throw this on a hard turnover forehand where I want to finish 250-300 feet up the fairway and hard left. Great disc for a bunch of different shots and I now carry 3-4 in my bag... One new for open shots, one beat in, one lighter weight (167) for more over stability shorter throws and sometimes a really beat in one that is super flippy for backhands.
Compared to other discs (and I've gone through many starting out) I'd say this gets 25-35 more feet than any of the destroyers I've thrown (but I still carry one) for forehands. However, the one shot I don't throw this for is a forehand hyzer as even new ones I can flip up on a max power shot so for that I'm throwing a PD2.
In conclusion, if you have power, need a good more dependable forehand distance disc, and want something that will beat in and add variety to your bag, go with this disc (Cloudbreaker), you'll get use out of it for a while.
