For a solid throw with a bit of personality to its flight, the Squall by DGA fits the bill. This disc has a smooth flight with a hint of turn and slightly stronger fade before it sits down. The disc has an average to thin sized rim, and has a great feel for making a nice midrange or approach shot.

The SP Squall is a great stable tweener disc. It takes a bit more umph to get it to send than a regular midrange, but not as much as a comparably stable 7 speed, and once you unlock its full flight it goes damn near as far as a comparably stable 7 speed. It's a point and shoot disc but has decent torque resistance and wind fighting capabilities. It works very well for me in low ceiling tunnel situations. I can throw it flat or with just a bit of hyzer and it will fly straight and low  with good glide and just the slightest bit of turn and fade. Great disc!

Top 10 Most slept on Disc. Like Many I bagged the Squall because I was not a huge fan of the Buzzz (Which this stance has changed as well), but boy was I not prepared for how great this disc is. Currently in my bag I do not carry a stable 7 or 8 Speed disc. That is because the Squall, being classified as a midrange, is my go to Fairway Driver. This mold had expectations to meet and boy did those expectations get met and more.

The Squall is again the most slept on disc in the game. The precision that the squall can fly is beyond comprehension. I really do not see this mold ever leaving the bag.

The Squall is a good alternative if you're like me- you like the flight of a Buzzz or Hex, but don't like the feel of either. This is one of the nicest feeling mids out there- it kind of has a tweener feel somewhere between a mid and fairway driver.
This disc is versatile; I typically throw it on uphill shots, or when I need a straighter shot than a Reactor will give me. It has a gentle turn and a gentle fade, overall it stays more or less straight. It'll flip up if you crank on it. The SP Line plastic is pretty, durable, and feels good enough. No complaints, and it filled the need I was looking for. If you like the Buzzz, probably not worth checking out, otherwise I'd give it a try.
DGA gets overlooked a lot, but I've liked everything I've thrown from them.

I made an unwanted trade with the disc golf park gods for a no named sp line squall that weighs just under 180g. While looking for my no named Hades prototype (which I never found) I came across the squall and upon leaving the park was quite bummed with the trade. A month or so later I'm really happy it occurred because I prob would never have tried this disc. It instantly felt great to hold and throw and after one to two rounds trying it out the squall became one of my go to discs. It's very predictable and versatile for low straight shots or longer fades. I find myself now pulling it out for my drives when it's under 300'  I find it very easy to place the squall perfectly on the lines I imagine. Also last weekend I decided to try it on top of the world, and not knowing what it was going to do from that far up and away I decided to just throw it straight down at the basket (far location). The squall just went laser straight towards the pin and never faded at all. It ended up right at the base of the pin and had I thrown it like 1 degree less downward it prob would have hit chains. If you like the feel of a zone in your hands and want something more versatile you will not go wrong with this disc. Since I only have thrown the heavy version I don't know how it behaves in the lighter versions. Also for my style of throwing and how the disc feels, the squall has booted my buzz out of my bag and I doubt it will ever return.

The Squall sits in that funky hybrid part of the world between midrange and fairway, so while that sounds useless, I've found this disc to be very dependable from the 250-300ft range for laser straight shots, but also hyzers and anny lines. Take a very straight disc like a Shark, or Buzzz, and now just add a bit of speed to it. So if you need that little extra confidence with a fade or when dealing with mild wind, this can be thrown similar as a midrange for those nice floaty-control drives. However, if you want to rip this thing like a fairway, it can handle the speed with the right hyzer amount and S-curve 300ft or so. It has monster glide and is very controllable and reminds me of a slightly slower leopard.

Fantastic disc, but because it is in a weird tweener spot, maybe it's hard to fit in your bag. Would be a great 1 disc round disc if you were playing in woods with holes averaging around 300ft.

I bought one of these just for the heck of it. Turned out to be one of the best disc I've ever bought. I have small hands and average strength. I can throw my longest drivers about 350', and can rip this one laser-beam straight almost 300'. Super controllable, can handle long anhyzer lines, or tight wooded courses with ease. If I can only take one disc to a course, it is the Squall. It can't handle strong headwinds, but give it a tail and watch it go.

Sparkle Line plastic, to me, is more stable and longer.

I like the Squall it fits nice in my hand and I can get a good grip on it.  The Squall is a straight flyer and can get good distance with it.  This disc will flip if you really torque into it but if your throw is smooth with clean form it will fly very nice.  I find the Squall works well for tight fairway shots or in the woods.  This is a very nice disc and recommend it for beginners to more advanced players.
