The DGA Reef is a terrific putter that can hold any line. It is a relatively straight flying putter with mild turn and slight end of flight fade. This putt and approach disc is just like the Discraft APX. If you like putters that go where you throw, you’ll be happy with the performance the Reef provides.

As a beginner I have 9 discs but this is by far the most accurate. I have 2 other putters but this one stands out. I consistently make shots that the other discs miss. I'm only using it out to 100 feet because it is difficult to throw it really far but for anything inside 100 and especially inside 75 feet this is my first option.

So this disc was tricky to figure out. It has some flip and it seems to be more central for the weight making it flip easily. Throwing this with any power turns into an instant roller, low power causes a lot of turn.

Where I found this disc excelled was with touchy approach shots that needed glide or anhyzer. With the flippy nature of the disc, it holds the line with a lot of glide and can anhyzer the full shot on soft approches. Defiantly saved some strokes with these shots since I could trust it to go where I want it.

I got one of these as a mystery disc some time ago. It's a very pretty fluorescent orange color with glitter safely trapped and entombed in the plastic, instead of being free glitter all over the place. Can with a simple black label stamp. 174 grams. The disc has a flat faceplate that has cool little ridges on the top that makes little disc scratching sounds when you run you fingers over it. Beaded rim. Big, rounded shoulder. Which, I'm not a particular fan of. I crave less depth in a rim so I can have better control. So, it takes a specific grip for either control shots, which, definitely can allow you to showcase it's controllability, but. Can severely sacrifice distance, in spite of the glide it provides as a deep-dish putter.(I put the bead in the crook of the first knuckle of the index finger near the tip, that allows the swing. Then fan out the middle and ring finger for controlled rotation. This disc loves doing anhyzer aproaches leading to a plopping fade-float. I did it several times today. I also scooted the disc up under my Buzz. Today was a learning day. And this review is kind of a product of this.) Driving with it, grip like a driver. Big hands? Even better. I don't have hands that big, and that is partially why I gives this four stars. Otherwise, this disc, I would assume could be great for beginners with it's modes of stability. (Although I can imagine many a child flinging this disc wildly off to the side due to the learning curve with the grip.) Slick plastic, as with all slick plastics. Lots of skips, doesn't stick. Turbo putts, maybe need those grip gloves so your fingertips can force the plastic to tack to your hand. Otherwise, I forsee slipped putts. As with all plastics in that family. Anyhow. This is a heavily control-based disc. I prefer anhyzer controlled putts, and drives with this putter.

I always use the mystery disc upgrade upon checkout, it's one of my life's joys. I love Infinite Discs for that reason! Anyway, I got the Reef as a random disc. It's got a weird feel in the hand for me. It's not a bad disc, I prefer a Prodigy PA-4 for an understable putter.

Great beginner putter. Works off the tee as well as in the circle. I have one that I bring as a loaner for friends who are joining me and it works great.
