I've only used this disc in winter at this point but there's no doubt in my mind that this is one of the better winter discs on the planet and could be used in ANYONE's bag. This feels in winter like color glow champ feels in summer. You have to feel this disc to believe it... and then you should throw it. Like a rocket this thing is a long neutral bomber. I'd give it a 1 fade out of the box because it will fade with enough height or on downhill shots. Outrageous glide, outrageous grip, vibrant and easy to find when you go over the mountain to find your disc. A longer TL3 is the best comparison I can make.

Insta-bagged. We'll see if it becomes too gummy in summer but I'm not worried about that.

P.S. The Infinite flight numbers are wrong and I don't understand.

I've had this for about a month now, and I want to like it but it's just not doing it for me.  It is rather unpredictable.  It doesn't feel good in my hand.  It is more understable than the numbers let on (for me at least).  However, It has amazing glide and I have had some amazing throws with this disc...  Maybe that's why I 'want' to like this disc.  But I just don't trust it.

The Timberwolf is at home in the woods. It's very controllable. I use it for any shot in the woods that is 300+, anytime I need to hit a gap, or on a distance annhyzer shot. It is my go-to woods disc, if I'm not throwing a midrange in the woods, I'm throwing my Timberwolf.

I love the flex performance plastic, it's a soft and gooey VIP/champion plastic. It beats in fairly quickly compared to champion plastic, but it stays controllable and somewhat stable.

I've tried various Daredevil discs. Daredevil is a Canadian company and a few of their plastic types are made for cold weather play. Some of the models tend to be very grippy like the Timberwolf.

This is a straight fairway driver.  VERY STRAIGHT.  It is a little touchy for me, but as fairway drivers go this is one of the best.  Once you find the "sweet spot" to throw the Timberwolf, you'll love this. Thrown hard it doesn't turn nearly as much as other fairway drivers, and the fade is perhaps a tad more than the rating.

With a tail wind this disc can BOMB. It's glide is excellent.  It handles a headwind better than expected, but with a stiff headwind I prefer a more overstable disc.

Of the several Daredevil Discs I've thrown I think this and the Walrus are my two favorites.

Ponce de Leon should have gone to Canada.
I found the fountain of youth, and it is the Daredevil Discs Timberwolf. You know how you ignore that whole speed rating and buy discs that are too fast for you? Or maybe you just don't admit to doing that, but then you are at an event and pick up a speed 13 driver just because it is so cool and one of the MPO guys crushed one and you figure you'll grow into it... Ok, so I'm very guilty of owning many discs that I admit are way beyond my arm speed. Sure, I rationalize ownership by saying I just wanted the stamp, or I use it for FH rollers, or whatever, but the fact is that at some point I thought I'd actually be able to crush a nuke. And with that mindset, I kept exploring the wrong discs.
And then I discovered the timberwolf. Daredevil says its a speed 9. Infinite thinks its an 8. And whatever that speed rating truly is... is right there with my arm speed. It's like I was turning the knob on an old analog radio and suddenly found a crystal clear channel. THIS is the driver that is the next step up from my Discraft Buzzz. I thought it was maybe the MVP Tesla, but that was a touch too OS. The Innova TL3 was close but the one I have is too heavy, as was the Teebird. But the Timberwolf passed the Goldilocks test with flying colors and it makes me feel a lot younger when I throw it. I love the texture of the flex performance plastic and this disc is very easy to control. While I can hyzerflip the lighter same mold / different plastic Swift Fox, the Timberwolf is stable and responds well to hyzer and anhyzer lines. The Timberwolf gives me confidence in my accuracy at the 300' range. Before, I had to hyzerflip discs or flick flex discs to get that range with some amount of accuracy, but now I have a disc that's truly a big confidence booster. I love the Timberwolf, and can't say enough good things about it.

The Timberwolf has become my go-to fairway driver. Whatever line you put it on, it stays on. It is very easy to control, even when you give it a big rip. The disc comes out of the hand very easy as well. I would have given this disc a "very beginner friendly" rating but more often than not I think beginners should start with controllable mid-ranges before drivers.

The Flex plastic feels great and is thus far very durable (the other day I slipped on a throw and crushed it into a lamppost on my local 9 hole: no dings or marks). The bottom of the flight plate has a light "frosting" sort of feel that some like and some don't like. I love it as it helps discs slide out of my hand, avoiding griplock.

Overall, bravo! I absolutely love the Timberwolf. To me, in the hand, it feels reminiscent of my KC Pro Cheetah. With the same comparison, I would rate it with a hair more speed less turn and less fade as well. To me, the Timberwolf is one of the best discs around for maintaining absolute control of your drives. Great for wooded, tight and open shots.

The Timberwolf is a great fairway driver. When I first got it I would use it mainly as a, well, fairway driver, but it is also great for getting through tight windows off the tee and is now my go to off the tee. It flies mostly straight, I get a bit of turn and some fade on it which, playing through the trees in New England is quite helpful. Its not the farthest disc, but its reliable. I really like the Flex Performance plastic, its got a nice amount of grip and flex but is also one of the more durable plastics I have thrown.

This has slowly become my favorite disc in my bag, and my go to fairway driver. The slightly roughed rim helps get a good grip, and the rest of the plastic has an amazing feel. Very consistent thrower.

    I highly recommend.

A Valid Attempt At A Teebird

The TImeberwolf from Daredevil discs tries it's level best to be the Canadian Teebird (Daredevil is from Canada, if you were not aware) but it falls short in several regards. I picked one of these up awhile back, before Infinite even offered them, on a whim and while I wont say it was a complete waste of money, I will say it never even came close to making my bag.

First off, the Flex Performence blend of plastic is very nice. It feels great in the hand, with good grip and a bit of a rough feeling to it, preventing it from feeling super slick like you get from Champion, Z, Opto or other similar plastics. It does have flex to it, but it's not gummy unless you leave it out in the sun, The grip just feels great. As far as the feel of the disc itself, it's not too bad. It feels very similar to a Teebird, but with a much sharper rim. Part of that was the ridiculous amount of flashing on the disc, but even after that was removed the rim seemed almost Viper-ish to me. Very odd. There isn't much dome on the Timberwolf...and that could be part of its downfall.

The flight is not nearly as overstable as indicated. Even here at the Colorado elevation, the T-Wolf was turning over hard on me on a flat throw. It would fade back at the end, but it always finished right (throwing RHBH) when thrown flat. The T-Wolf really shined when given a bit of hyzer. It would flip to flat and cruise on a laser beam out to 300 to 325 with little effort. Putting a little more juice on it showed some turn after it stood up from hyzer, but it basically finished dead on. With an even steeper hyzer angle, I was able to achieve long, sweeping hyzers that flattened out at the end.

Its tough when you're trying to make a Teebird clone/competitor because that disc is so beloved. The T-Wolf lacks the glide of the Teebird, and is more out of the box understable. Its a good try, but ultimatley falls short of it's goals. But it is by no means a bad disc. It's great plastic blend, cool graphics and smooth flight are all good things that add up to a perfectly serviceable disc.
