The Crave is the first driver in the Axiom Line. This moderate speed fairway driver is described as a seasoned MVP Servo. The Crave is one of the straightest flying fairway drivers in the market. It totes a slower speed, but don't let it fool you, as it goes far. It provides a torque resistant, but straight flight suitable for backhands or forehands. Most MVP made discs are relatively flat, and the Crave is no exception.

From the perspective of 55-year-old noodle arm who those Craves 300', I will report that my 171g Cosmic Neutron Crave is in fact a Crave. It is not a Teebird or Resistor. The disc will turn some and fade some like the Craves in other plastics. So while I was thinking I would be getting a 0 2 Crave, it is truly -1 1. Now I have an attractive backup and field practice disc. No complaints.

Reviewing in cosmic neutron plastic- very nice feeling fairway driver with a low profile and no sharp edges. The plastic is durable and beautiful too. As far as the flight goes, I was shocked at how far it flies. It is more like an 8 speed than a 6, and the glide is more like 6 than 5. It has a nice straight flight with a gentle finish. It might be able to complete with my max distance 11 speeds though. Definitely the farthest flying fairway driver I have thrown out of dozens and a great flight to boot!

In the Cosmic Neutron plastic, the Crave threw a lot more similarly to a tee-bird, with a lot more stability than expected. Overall the hand feel is great along with the plastic but unless you have a lot of power, I would recommend getting a less stable plastic or a lighter-weight disc.

What else is there to say about the Crave other than you need to try one. While I don't bag my Crave anymore due to preferring another discs feel in the hand, I can't say that it was because the flight of the Crave was inferior to anything else I have ever thrown. There is a Crave for everyone. With fission plastic going so light, this could be a great first driver for a beginner, and in max weight, I can see this disc being useful for even the biggest arms out there. It may claim a 6.5 speed, but it is not losing out on distance compared to other 7 speeds on the market. Certainly a staple in the MVP, AXIOM, STREAMLINE lineup.

Stop here if you're looking to unlock some extra distance you didn't know you had. This disc is a laser and holds lines like no other. I don't have the strongest arm in the world and disc slips right in to my wheelhouse. I can reliably get this disc about 300 on a straight line with a minimal but consistent fade at the end. Anyone who wants more control in their control drivers should absolutely pick one up

The Axiom Crave will be a guaranteed game-changer for newer players. When I was starting out and struggling to get drives to reliably go farther than 275 feet, this disc would consistently fly 300+ feet . . . and barely drift left or right anywhere along the way. I understand why people have differing opinions about the impact of MVP's gyro technology, but I'm convinced that it is an undeniable advantage in slower-speed discs like the Crave. The Crave isn't just straighter than a Teebird in Star or G-Star plastic, but it will also glide at least 25 feet farther at the same weight. My "real drivers" go well beyond 300 feet now, but I still bag two different Craves in different weights for various tunnel shots in heavily wooded courses. This disc will be a game changer for anyone that is relatively new to the sport who is trying to break through the 300 feet mark with no additional effort. It's also one of the best midrange discs on the market for intermediate players as it is capable of reliably holding a tight line for 300+ feet with no appreciable fade either direction. I bag 26 discs to cover all possible options, but if I was only allowed to use one disc for an entire round, it would be one of my Craves.

Forehand thrower here and this thing is a doozy. I found one of these and gave it a couple rips before returning it to the owner and had to get one for myself. It's glide is on point and flies pretty straight, very little turn, with a reliable, slight fade at the end. My go-to for shorter holes. I've hit some near aces with this (between 170-200ft from the tee)

The gyro strikes again with an absolute gem!!

The Crave is utterly brilliant and is much faster than it's 6.5 speed presents, but that is not a bad thing. It is still easily controllable and easy to throw for newer players. I can get this disc to fly flight flat for the majority of its flight. However, thrown to hard it likes to turn right and stay that way for a lot longer than its -1 rating shows.

But this disc has a lot of glide. I would compare it more to a Leopard3 in Halo Star plastic.

I just recently decided I need a backup of this disc because it gets so much use in my bag. Straight shot, go for the Crave, wooded shot, go for the Crave. It is by far the most reliable disc in my bag. I somewhat compare it to the ESP Stalker. The only difference for me is I can get slightly more distance from the Stalker but I feel the Crave is much more reliable. So many times, I may sacrifice a few feet just to have the reliable straight shot the Crave provides. I will be buying another when I get the chance.

This disc is truly a point and shoot driver out to 325ft.  I compare this this to my Leopard 3's, but I actually get a bit more distance with my max weight Crave.  Plastic also feels great and is very durable.

I will rep anything that MVP makes, because the discs are just beautiful and I want all of them. The Axiom Crave is something every new player should bag because it will teach you to throw a midrange on any angle. This disc will give you distance and control in tight wooded fairways and by controlling the release angle and keeping the nose down you can easily park most traditional short par 3s.

For a beginner I think it's important to just be able to throw something that will show the beauty of this game, hand someone a Crave that has never thrown before and let them be amazed at disc golf technology. It flies amazingly thrown flat, anhyzer, hyzer, thrown hard, even thrown by a first timer - it just looks amazing in the air and it goes.

This review is for the Sarah Hokum Crave. I'm not sure if it is the same mold as the regular production Crave.

This disc is a very straight flyer with little fade. It can take some power with little turn. The flat top makes it great for forehand. The small rim feels almost like a midrange.

Most impressive is the distance and glide this disc can get. It just goes! The most reached for disc of mine when in the woods.

I have this disc in proton and plasma and i love how they compliment each other. the plasma has a little less stability with a much earlier high speed turn. it will flip up to flat from a hyzer glide to the right a bit and still finish with a forward penetrating left fade. the proton is perfect straight flyer for flat release laser beams that finish with minimal fade
