My Flight Ratings: 7/6/-1.5/1 Somewhat Beginner Friendly Throwing Distance: N/A Straight Score: N/A

I picked up five of these (along with some others of other kinds) during the recent Yikun sale in order to have some simple 2-disc starter sets on hand to introduce small groups of work & church friends to disc golf. I spent an afternoon testing them out, throwing them all straight and level initially to see just how over-/understable they would fly. Despite the rather whopping -3.5 Turn rating, I kept getting pretty straight drives with the View -- in both headwinds and tailwinds (how does it manage that?), and with a tailwind it was getting almost as much straight-forward distance as the distance drivers I was throwing, and much less final skip left! Consequently, I'd give it a much more sedate Turn rating relative to the Fade. With my experience so far with other Tiger plastic discs, I hope these don't get banged up too much too soon, or get beat in and then really start showing a -3.5 level of Turn. (Maybe they intended that to represent their final, beat-in rating?) I did notice that the View (and the other type of fairway driver I picked up) had a rather sharp/rough edge underneath that made throwing a bit uncomfortable, and eventually left a small flap of sliced skin on my middle finger. Not sure if that's standard, or just how that particular run turned out.

I like the View. It has a nice straight flight path with some understable turn and a very small fade. I'd give it a flight rating of 6/5/-1/1. The cheap Tiger Line plastic grade feels really good, like Gateway Sure Grip, but it is not very durable. I nailed a metal pole on a full power drive about 70 feet from me, and this disc got the biggest gouge I've ever seen in a golf disc. This is a great beginner driver, and would work well in a starter set for low power players. But until it's available in a more durable plastic blend, experienced disc golfers may want to stay away.
