The Tomahawk is a straight-flying, deadly accurate weapon of choice on the fairway when thrown by beginners or at low speeds. Advanced players will find the Tomahawk to be very understable. The double-overmold rim in the Tortoise Line provides a great look as well as a great grip for a perfect release.

First off, I generally like Yikun discs and bag a Hammer and Kang.  I have a Tomahawk and find it a lot more understable than the flight numbers.  I also find it unpredictable as compared to my Mako3, Mindbender or even Xcom Griffon and Divergent Kapre.  I was hoping for a unique and reliable disc with a neutral or slightly understable flight pattern however that isn't this disc.  So far I can't find a reason to bag this and will try giving it to someone just starting out to see if they can find a use for it.

Disc quality is fair, comensurate with a premium plastic at this price point - it's not a Kastaplast or Alfa.  The flight numbers are a joke.  I was hoping to get a longer Anubis, or something like a Mind Bender.  Instead, it's a lot closer to a Kon-Tiki or a Paradox, huge turn at the beginning of the flight, and then very little fade.  Glide is good, but unless I throw it at nearly a spike hyzer angle, I'm getting right turn all day for RHBH.  Probably a good disc for beginners, who will discover that they can bend a disc right (RHBH again) with this thing.  Maybe the speed rating should be a 2 or something, thrown that slow it might behave a little better.  But for that slot, I'd take a glitch hands down over this disc.

Awesome disc when available. The flight path is exactly described in diagram provided. Good glide and very little roll at least for me.

175g RHBH, got one to try, it does throw strait without any effort. it floats and glides for the players who can control a Frisbee or ultimate disc.  for these players, it can be a dead neutral disc.   really like the inside lip is the white plastic. smoother release than rubber inside rim discs .

Flies very much like the innova Mako 3. I would say it requires a bit of experience to have the form to throw it laser straight as intended but a very fun disc

This thing is great... killer at any line you throw it at. Holds a real solid line if you want it to

Look, I've never given a disc 1 star before, and with this disc I debated giving it 2 stars. It's not like the disc arrived in 2 pieces or badly warped or anything, but then I remembered how I had to file down the many edges of this disc so it wouldn't cut into my hand. That should never be a state I need to make about a disc! It is easily the worst disc I have ever thrown.

    1. The build quality: This disc feels cheap and the over mold on mine is horrendous. All those white lines you see along the edge; every single one is a different height than the overmold. The plastic is flimsy. The edges rough.
    2. The flight: The number on the disc are a completely false. I swear the makers didn't even test their own product. My mother, who throws maybe 100ft might get a straight line out of this disc, but everyone else will find this disc turning over immediately.
    3. The competition: When there are so many companies making excellent discs at this price and even cheaper, there is no reason to buy this disc. No. Reason.

When my aforementioned mother met me on the course one day to try out disc golf for the first time, I gave this disc to her, because I knew in all likelyhood it would be left in her car where the heat of the summer will melt this thing down into an unusable U of a disc and would at least provide a handy illustration on how NOT to treat your discs before it ended up in a landfill somewhere. Do yourself a favor and buy one of the hundreds of other discs on this site.

This disc flies dead straight. No matter what line it gets put on, it will fly on that line. It won't flip up or hyzer out early. You can count on this for a dead straight shot if you release it flat. It also can show you how you are releasing your discs and you can work on your form. If you throw this you will learn how much hyzer and/or anhyzer you are releasing with and is a very helpful disc to work on form.

The flight path is exactly what they show. No variance whatsoever. If you can call a disc stubborn, then that's what I would call this disc. It's not going to hyzer, it's not going to flip or fade. Its going to go straight. That being said. It's not affected by wind... like at all. Also it glides like crazy. Even in gusty situations. I'm on the fence about this disc still. But when I need a straight flying floaty mid range. I grab the tomahawk.

I will admit, when I threw this disc right out of the box I hated it. I decided "what the heck" I already paid for it, why not give it a chance. So I began working with the disc and found out that it is the best disc to fix sloppy form, the reason I hated this disc so much was due to my release angles. This disc has really helped myself with a consistent release (flat). If thrown on a Hyzer angle this disc will pop up to flat and just glide straight, with next to 0 fade. If thrown on an anny, this disc will just glide and hold that line, IT WILL NOT "stable-up". My normal drives are around 250-300, if your arm speed is anything greater than an 8-9 speed, I wouldn't recommend this disc as you'll just turn it over w/ any angle you put it on. Again, this is a beginner level disc or for someone who want's to return to their basic's and improve on their form.

Overall, I will give this disc a rating of: 4/6/-2/0.5 (-2 turn due to the ease of hyzer-flipping this disc) The speed is really around a 4 and it doesn't take much power to get this thing to flip. The 0.5 fade is only seen when thrown with minimal effort on a severe-hyzer line.

This is one of the most interesting discs I've ever tried. It's got a very pointed wing for a midrange and a sloping shoulder. It's fairly deep but with an overall flat top. The previous reviewer saying the main plastic is a lot like an ultimate disc is dead on, it actually probably is the same plastic that use for the Ultimate disc they make, but it's somewhat grippy and stiff. The outer plastic is super gummy and grippy and feels good to the grip.

I could not make this guy go great straight. Even with a ton of hyzer and a tailwind it displayed some turn, and when I have it some power it turned a lot and though it would stay in the air pretty well, you can't throw it super far.

If you were to hand this to a new player, or someone who had an ultimate background they would probably be very happy and a great intro to the game.

I'm going to give it a 3, but for me it is a well put together disc that looks nice and is interesting feeling but has no bagable quality, but for a new player it could easily be a 4+ because it is so easy to throw.

Great looking stamp and the overmold construction is very interesting. I'd like to try the Meteor Hammer and see if any of their overmolds could work in my bag.

The Yikun Tomahawk is my new favorite disc. The 0 end of flight fade is legit, but the Tomahawk definitely exhibits some high speed turn. This disc flys like an Ultimate Frisbee, and so I absolutely love it for low power hyzer flip approach shots that just need to stay dead straight.

I love the feel of the double mold plastic. The white flight plate portion is stiff and not the most grippy, I'd compare it with the plastic used for Discraft Ultrastar Ultimate frisbees, while the outer rim offers excellent grip and has a great feel to it. I really like the Innova Atlas, but get annoyed when I place my hand on one of the plastic points. The production quality of the Tomahawk is better, and I don't have that problem.

To experience the beauty of the Tomahawk, you need to throw it with good clean smooth form and a gentle release, otherwise it will turn over hard on you. This is a very understable midrange and is the perfect disc for new players, especially those used to throwing traditional frisbees.

If you're looking for a low power straight flying disc with an excellent feel that won't fade at the end of the flight, try the Yikun Tomahawk.
