You know, I really liked this disc! It feels really comfortable in the hand and the plastic is quality. I wouldn't say the flight numbers are correct. I could throw the Kui quite a bit further than your typical mid range. So, I would give a speed of 6. When I gave it full power and released it flat, the Kui stayed really straight with a slight fade at the end. I would say the fade rating is closer to a 1 or 2. All in all, the Kui is a quality mold for a fast mid range.

Kui, Tui, Lui, Pazooi- the one downside to these Yikun discs is I'm never gonna remember their names, or I'll confuse them with RPM discs.

That aside- this is not a bad mid. I wouldn't necessarily rate it as a 2.5 fade though. Maybe more like a -1, 2.  When thrown full power it would definitely flip over and ride it almost to the ground before flattening out. To me this is more of an all purpose mid that you wanna throw gently and just stick it on the line you want. It would hold any line, but only if I threw it at  speed 5 speed.

Basically, don't put a ton of power on this and it'll do what it says. This would be a great beginner, or just a step up from a beginner mid. You can get it to go pretty straight with just a nice soft throw.

The plastic feels great, it's definitely high quality and seems quite durable. Another great addition to Yikun's lineup, though!

I'd say that the Kui isn't quite as overstable as the numbers suggest. It feels great in the hand and has some nice glide. However, I had to fine-tune my throwing speed to get the expected results. When thrown with too much power, it would fly with a stable-to-understable path. I got a couple of longer distance throws than expected, when released just right. But of course, this is a mid-range, not a power or high-speed driver. So, I powered-down and had more success in getting a straight or slightly overstable flight. This is not the kind of mid-range that dumps sharply on the fade. Rather, it goes through a slower, controlled fade for a smooth, curved flight.

Personally, I think this disc is a solid one for beginners and intermediate players who want a straight mid-range with a soft, but dependable fade. It should serve well in that regard, when thrown at a slower speed. Yikun has a nice mid-range here which could take on a general purpose roll in the disc bag, even covering some fairway driver range. But it isn't particularly unique. It mostly depends on if you like the smooth, comfortable rim and the moderate dome. If you like flatter discs with rims and plates more suitable for forehand, you may want to stick with your Buzzz or your Roc3.
