I had hope for finding a good thunderbird replacement. This was anything but stable. It just turns... like forever.

Incredibly understable. 9/5/-3/1.5 flight. This disc turns harder than a valkyrie and fades less. After a solid 50 throws on high hyzer this disc flipped and held right maybe 47/50 times. I was able to get it to flex out a few times with lots of height and hyzer and with nose up dragging I think I only got it to hyzer maybe once? It's almost impossible to get this disc to fade out because all it wants to do is turn its whole flight.

I thought the latest Yikun discs in the Glaze plastic were pretty cool looking and decided to give them a try. I field tested this one along with a couple of its somewhat-similar siblings -- the 9/5/-1/2 Bi, and the 7/5/0/2 Fu. The Jin Wu flew more like its 9-speed sibling, but actually was less stable than the Bi, despite the flight numbers suggesting it should be otherwise; and it certainly wasn't as stable as the 0-Turn/2-Fade Fu. That said, though the given numbers seemed a bit off to me, now that I know what it's like, it's certainly a perfectly fine disc: The disc flies very well for me, giving me some really good straight-forward distance. I had been pretty happy with the Bi, but the Jin Wu normally flew better for me.

The Glaze plastic looks pretty cool, as does the stamp. I'm definitely no Chinese expert, but it seems to have a rather classy cultural element to the design. I also like the feel of the Glaze plastic, as it releases smoothly and cleanly for me (reflecting also the quality craftsmanship of the disc -- no flashing or oddities to affect grip or release). The disc speed may make this a tad fast for beginners to use, but since it's not as stable as indicated, I think they might not do too badly with it; and it gives them something to work with and gauge the progression of their throwing ability as they see themselves getting better with it over time.

My disc is extremly flippy. It flips over when thrown flat an at full power flips all the way to a roller. The flight numbers are not acurate at least for my disc.

For referance I live at ~5,000ft elevation which makes discs more stable. I can throw around 400-470 max distance.

The most important thing about the Jin Wu versus other 9 speeds is its diameter. The disc has an extra 0.5cm of diameter and is more close to a midrange than a fairway.

I throw 9 speeds roughly 350 and this frisbee is very flippy. The extra diameter means a lot more glide, but also less torque resistance. This disc reminds me of the Lat64 Saint, very domey, very glidey, but not really meant for power throwers. If you enjoy discs that "give" you more glide and play a more finese game, this disc will be great for you. If your favorite disc is a Firebird that you can muscle as hard as you like, you most likely will not enjoy the Jin Wu.

Having tried the Jin Wu and She Gong, there is some variance in the Glaze plastic. The She Gong I threw had a little gummy feeling and a fair amount of tackiness, while the Jin Wu is very slick. The slickness has gotten better with two rounds of use and plenty of chalk before each throw, but out of the box I much preferred the She Gong's blend of Glaze.

The Jin Wu is another great disc by Yikun. This disc looks and flys great. Compared with the other newly released Hou Yi, the jin Wu has substantially more dome to it. It's not overly domey, just good disc golf dome for excellent glide and a good flight.

I'd say that the Jin Wu I've been throwing is a little more understable than the flight ratings indicate as it definitely has some high speed turn for me, and I'm not exactly a power thrower. The Jin Wu is perfect for me for shots around 300 feet in distance where you want a mostly straight flight with a consistent fading finish.

The plastic quality of Glaze line is really durable. This disc has take quite the beating but still looks like new.

If you want a great flying control driver in an attractive halo-esque plastic at a much lower cost, I highly recommend the Jin Wu and all the other Yikun Glaze discs.
