The Leo by XCom is an understable distance driver, making it a good choice for players who enjoy throwing high-speed discs, but who may not have a lot of throwing power.

I decided to field test the Leo versus the Maya, since they have identical flight numbers. However, it didn’t take too many throws (headwind and tailwind) to realize that the Leo was much more similar to its sibling the Libra -- and the other 11/5/-1/2 discs I was using to evaluate that one (the Trace, Ragnarok and Jun; plus a Wave as a middle-ground baseline comparator). The Leo would stay straight a bit longer and had a more subdued fade angle at the end than the Libra; perhaps a bit added glide, too. It typically ended up fading out about the same distance as the -1/2 (Turn/Fade) discs, but was generally a fair way farther ahead of the Libra. Seeing that they’re not as different as the listed flight numbers indicate, I don’t know that one would need to have both of them; and between the two, I find the Leo gave me the better results.

The Leo feels good in the hand, releases cleanly for me, and produces a good overall flight. Even though it doesn't match the listed numbers, now that I know this it doesn't matter too much to me since it does at least fly well. I like the look and feel of XCom’s Mars plastic. I just got my first few discs in this grade and only just started field testing them, so I can't say yet how durable it may prove to be. I think it’s of note that while I found each of my slower-speed, Mars-plastic discs had a bit of flashing on the underside of the inner rim (not too bad and there were segments without it, too), I haven’t noticed any flashing on these two 11-speed drivers; so that’s a plus. I think the stability and speed of the Leo makes this a less likeable/usable disc for beginners, unless they’ve already got a decent forehand.
