This disc is designed to help you throw farther with less effort than you'd expect from a fairway driver, and help you fly past your current abilities.

I'd say the Longbowman's closest cousin is the FD3 in terms of flight, though the Longbowman isn't quite as overstable. It is still very stable with little glide - good for headwings and forehand shots. It's very comfortable in the hand both forehand and backhand, with only a slight dome to the point that it's practically flat-topped. It's not quite so dumpy that you can't get any distance, so it makes a good tee shot when need be.

I have tried a lot of overstable fairway drivers but have never been in love with any of them. I have had some success with the Tournament Longbowman. I didn't find it to be as overstable as the numbers suggest which meant that it had a very straight flight for with a fair amount of fade at the end. I like this disc because I can get really good distance without the big skip of a distance driver. It feels great in the hand and has a awesome stamp. Definitely recommend this one.

Fully confirm previous post of Dirkgarner. I’ve been in the game for 2 years and in the last six months the Longbowman kicked out all the other control drivers with the exception of Saint Pro. Very reliable stable-overstable control driver. Not too far. It will not withstand a very strong headwind, but resists a moderate wind. My Longbowmans, VIP 168, TP 171 and Hybrid 173 have almost identical flight patterns, maybe TP has more glide than VIP. Hybrid has even more glide.

And this is a disc with a speed of 8, not 9.

The Longbowman is a nice control disc from Westside Discs. This disc had a comfortable feel in the hand with a smaller rim, but it really didn't seem to get the distance that similar speed discs like the PD or the Thunderbird could get for me. It really seemed to lack the glide I was expecting it to have. It does have some stability, but it wasn't great into a strong headwind. This is not a disc that would ever kick anything out of my bag, but it is still a nice disc.

Although the VIP is more stable than the tournament plastic, i still love the TP Longbowman for control shots. Gotta have both the VIP for more overstable shots and then the TP for straighter/hyzerflip shots. Great disc, good place to start if you dont have much arm speed or are a beginner, also a great disc for higher speed arms looking to get more controlled shots

I have only used this disc for a few rounds so far, but the distance and consistency have made it my go to driver. I cannot say enough good things about the straight flight and consistent finish. Even when I throw this as hard as I can it does not want to turn over on me. I am excited to get more in my bag and see how the differing stages of wear and tear affect the flight.

The Longbowman is a disc that is on the edge of my bag. I liked the flight of the disc initially, and it still has its uses, but I feel like it is less of what I want now. In the beginning, it was fantastic for flying straight for 250+ feet and then turning at the end of its flight. That was exactly what I wanted of it, but now it has begun to turn quite a bit. The turn is fine, but it is no longer consistent in when it comes back in either. I have a Firebird that flies almost identical to how the Longbowman started, but it still has that Firebird skip that the Longbowman didn't have, another reason I liked this disc in the beginning. Overall, I think it is a great disc, just not happy with how mine has come out as of late.

The Longbowman is a straight flier with a moderate fade.  The Logbowman needs a bit of power to get it to fly by the numbers,  The more power you put on it you will notice a bit of turn.  I get a nice 300 to 350 feet flight and I find the flight numbers pretty much spot on. The Tournament plastic feels nice and the disc grips well.

People have compared the Longbowman to the Teebird saying it is like a longer flying Teebird.  I would pretty much agree mostly with that but I think the Logbowman flies even more like the Champ Thunderbird maybe just a tad bit of turn in the fight that the Thunderbird doesn't have.
