The Vibram Solace (Super Overstable Lace) is the ultra overstable distance driver in the Vibram Line. Vibram says this about the Solace: “Our most overstable disc to date, this disc can handle all the power you give it, will consistently fight any headwind you throw it at, and will have a predictable (and big) fade at the end of its flight. When you are ready to be in control, reach for the Solace” Like the Lace, the Vibram Solace is a wide rimmed distance driver with a 2.4cm wing. This disc has the same diameter and rim depth, but is slightly thinner than the popular Lace.

This disc is such a meat hook and no beginner should ever use this, even for forehands. The Medium plastic type doesn't allow for a great grip on the disc, but does allow for great glide for a disc being as overstable as this one. I would only suggest that someone get this disc for a utility disc, or if you need something to do a short forced flex shot.

I like the Solace, it's a fantastic overstable driver in the vein of the Xcaliber or the Scythe. Though when new it might be slightly more stable than either of those.

It's not very long for as fast as it is, and I can through it upwards of 400, I can often get similar discs to fly in the 450 range.

The profile is low and the grip comfortable, I just can't get into using rubber drivers. Even the medium and firm are a little floppy in my hand and it makes it hard to control, in my head at least.

One of my favorite discs I own (175g). FH this is my favorite distance driver. It is a laser beam that fades out past 300' and parks itself at 375'. I was out today doing field work with my Teebirds and PDs, decided to throw the solace from corner to corner on the soccer field and well lets say I did a lot of walking between throws. Fights wind like a champ and can take a metric ton of power.

I have a 170g Solace and im intermediate in skill level. Obviously a disc I plan to grow into as im not there to control a beast like this but I will say its exactly as vibram said it was and reminds me of a Felon with a bigger wing. Its awesome in a strong headwind where my other discs will crash and burn and handy at my skill level to doge a few obstacles I would normally put myself in. Can't wait till I have a bigger throw to see what this baby is capable of.

I have a 155 gram x-link medium solace.  Even at this weight it has proven to be surprisingly overstable.  It is more stable than my 156 gram vip air westside world.  It flies fairly similar to my 166 gram opto felon, except longer and perhaps a tad less stable.  When thrown backhand and flat I have to throw it very hard or it will start going left pretty quickly (rhbh).

Where it shines for me is on forehand and overhand shots.  Thrown flat and hard on a forehand it is my longest disc that doesn't turn significantly.  With a little hyzer it will flip up  to flat for half its travel before a significant forward penetrating fade.  It is also my go to disc for overhand shots.

I use this into a head wind and for thumbers. It is the most overstable disc I've ever thrown and I will have to grow into it, but it is reliable and won't flip over.

I own the 420 which is the oop version of this disc. This disc is not for beginners and is a very dependable driver. Headwind will not be a problem when throwing this disc.
