The Stabilizer is an overstable putter from Streamline Discs. The Stabilizer feels similar in the hand to a Pilot, but with a more pointed rim to add stability. This disc will fly straight with little turn, and finish with a strong fade.

    Eclipse SL Details

Eclipse SL is Streamline's glow in the dark Proton Plastic. Traditionally, Eclipse plastic meant the overmold rim would glow on MVP discs. Now, with Streamline, the entire disc will glow. The plastic most resembles Proton plastic that glows in the dark.

This negative one star review is strictly about the glow characteristics of the Eclipse SL plastic, and not at all about how this disc flies.

I recently purchased an MVP Reactor with the Eclipse 2.0 glow plastic. The 2.0 has to be THE BEST glow plastic out there! So I bought this disc with the same high hopes for night rounds.

This plastic, when fully charged glows brightly, but it fades quickly and glows usefully for not even five minutes!

This is honestly the worst performing glow plastic I have. If you throw first and farthest in your group of four, you will have to run to your disc just to find it.

Do not buy this disc based on the highly deserved reputation of the Eclipse 2.0! You will be terribly disappointed.

My DD Classic Blend Glow plastic glows brighter and longer than this. Two thumbs down.

This disc feels just like a harp in the hand, I like the plastic feel slightly more than the harp. Overall flies very similarly to the harp. Not good enough that i will be replacing the harp in my bag with it... but once that harps gone, who knows it might work its way in.

The Stabilizer is always in my bag. It's for those throws where I need some glide and guaranteed stability at the end of the flght. Esepcially good for those shots that need to go straight for about 200' before exiting to the left (RHBH) or mild flex/flip shots.

My Stablizers are near max weight in Eclipse plastic. I love how that plastic feels and how it looks (and pretty decent as far as glow time goes.) Not as slick as Proton plastic and not as soft as Plasma and with a slightly better grip than Neutron plastic. The depth is a tiny bit more than an Envy and a tiny bit less than a P2, perfect for my hand. The Stablizer is virtually identical to the Pilot apart from a bit more cut in the rim.

Thrown at lower speeds this disc is fairly overstable so for beginners the Stabilzer is a great overstable putt and approach.

At higher speeds this disc needs to be thrown with some hyzer because thrown flat it will turn and only fight back a bit at the end.

For hyzer shots in wind conditions, the Stabilizer is fairly trustworthy. It's not really going to flatten out and doesn't get picked up by the wind that much.

I use this disc for putting in the wind and any hyzer approach shots within 225', I use it for sidearm shots when they need to stay straight for a while before dumping. Sidearm shots also need some hyzer because thrown flat the disc will turn over and not come back to the original line. That's not a bad thing, great for situations like turnover small fade-straight shots in trees.

For shots that I really need to fight out and dump harder I use the Entropy. For similar shots that can glide a bit more and get a tiny bit of flip-flex, I'll use the Stablizer.

I think it's a great disc for anyone looking for that somewhat overstable putt and approach, and like all Streamline discs, the price is right.

If you haven't tried Streamline yet, give the Stabilzer (and others in their lineup, they only have 7 discs I think) a try, you might just find a new favorite disc.

Bought this disc as an impulse buy, but this was the best disc golf related impulse buy I've ever had! The plastic has the perfect amount of grip like I love in trilogy plastic, and it feels like the took the top mold of a Westside Harp and mixed it with the bottom mold of a Westside Shield; which have been staples in my bag since I started throwing trilogy plastic. It also flies like the combination of these 2 discs as well out of the box. I will say the fade on mine wasn't as significant as their flight numbers, but I'd still say this is a disc with a little more fade than I would give a disc with x, x, x, 2 flight numbers. Color glow plastic is beautiful, and because of this I will put this disc in my bag in place of my beat in base line Harp for night rounds or rounds in the snow.
